There' some good news and oobviously he rates him very highly, otherwise he would have shipped him off somewhere.

The ironic thing, is that we probably arnt the most hated club by any team, but just 3rd or 4th on everyone's list making us win the overall. I. E. I doubt Liverpool fans hate us more than united. Or tottenham fans hating us more than arsenal. Or united hating us more than city etc. But we are up on everyone's list.

I agree they arn't good enough to be in it. But they are the best for their region so unless you get rid of Oceana's representation it can't happen. It is a bit like putting a league 2 team in the champions league though.

I think the celebrating was a tad over the top, but i don't see how they have been embarrassed, when they are a team of the quality of the 7th tier of english football, with only one professional. It was always men vs boys and everyone loves a major underdog.

I think it may be limiting him a bit, however not so much that we are playing him way out of position. Adapting to that role is no different to adapting to a role out wide for example, except it may be even easier. I think he definitely is better at CAM. But unless we can sneak him on there and play him alongside mata then it may be an option we should consider. And yeah we are blessed in that sense, and i too can't wait to see what Jose decides to do.

Yeah that is a valid point. But we have bought him, so unless we bring someone else in then i think that could be the way forward. And i don't think the role is that different, providing we have a solid DM next to him.

Its not really square pegs in round holes. And it is about what is best for the team. If we don't bring in a proper CM ala Modric for there, then we should defintely play him there as he is probably the best option we have. Its just a matter of adapting. It's definitely not his best positon but he could be the sort of player we need in there. If we have a better option then he will have to go on the bench but until then, if the benefit to the team is greater with him in there (even if its not his best position) than anyone else then we should play him there.

He is, and a very good one. But he is not better than Mata. So logic dictates we should push him a bit deeper to integrate him into the team. IF we have a very good proper DM then it could work quite well as he would have more freedom and create the link between defence and Attack. He is an AM, however the truth of the matter is, that for him to be a regular in the team he would have to play centrally, but deeper or on the right, and i think he can do very well in a deeper central role.

If he goes, we will surely be bringing someone in, unless David Luiz is going to be a DM, with Essien as back up, which seems improbable.

I don't think he would want to come here. As you have said he could go to any team in the premier league. We are one of the few teams where he wouldn't get a starting spot. And i would assume there will be lots of people in for him.

If we play 3 at the back we would concede way too many goals. Unless we were to bring in 2 new defenders and a other DM. And play Ashley Cole and azpi as wing backs which then makes it into more of a 5 in defence. So I find it pretty pointless. Our posession will increase when we find a proper DM so oscar can work his magic alongside him. And he can link up with hazard and mata from deep. It's the players not the formation Imo.
