  1. May be the odd one out here... But it was a number which he had never wore. It doesn't bother me in the slightest. It's not like he just took lampards 8.
  2. Finally done. 14 can hardly be KDB's number when he has never played for us.
  3. http://sport.uk.msn.com/football/football-transfer-rumours-chelsea-agree-%C2%A349-million-deal-for-cavani-25-june Probably already been posted. But just got back today so apologies.
  4. As stated previously. Technically a 4-3-3 is a 4-2-3-1. Its about the players in the positions not the formation as there will always be problems whichever formation we pick. 4-2-3-1 seems the least awkward as it utilises the majority of the squad. In an idea world we can play 3 number 10's and not get exploited but that just isn't gonna happen. Unless we change to a 2 up top system of something more drastic it will be technically similar to what we have at the moment. It is the mentality and the individual instructions that really changes things not the formation Imo.
  5. Never seen anyone rate kakuta that highly and last year I never even considered kakuta as a reason against signing Hazard and i doubt anyone else had major concerns either. I also think that the gap between hazard and kakuta is much larger than the gap between lukaku and cavani. And if you compute the other factors then it doesn't even become slightly close. Lukaku's age and much cheaper price tag.
  6. Josh piazon etc are all promising youngsters. Lukaku is young but not in that bracket. He cost 19 million as an 18 year old. He is still improving yes. But last season he proved he is more than just potential. Comparing kakuta to hazard is quite ludicrous, and then saying the lukaku situation is the same is equally ludicrous imo.
  7. He might be happy to stay. But will united really want to make him their highest paid player, if he isn't already when he won't be their first choice striker. And would have to be played largely out of position? That is the question.
  8. Oh look. The media have no idea. What a surprise.
  9. Why has rooney got Kalou's Hand?
  10. Same. It ticks all the boxes for me. And if we need a goal with 20 mins to go or so, we can push rooney a little bit deeper, put the fridge on and then have Hazard, Mata, Rooney, etc all supplying him.
  11. What does rafa have to do with anything. People didn't like the bloke. If he was a great manager then many people may have dismissed the comments etc. But he wasn't. And he kept making stupid decisons which is what i was more annoyed with him for. But thats in the past and worked out in the end luckily. Rooney is a great player, and i don't think him having a go back at our fans when he scored a goal for united is a reason for not signing him.
  12. Exactly. With the saga that occurred he got a pay rise, but that seems a bit extreme, by uniteds standards.
  13. I can't remember that. Probably true, but in the end of the day, it happenned oh well. Our players have done plenty of things to other teams. It's not something that i'm that bothered by. Same happenned with torres. Everyone hated him, until he arrived. Same with ashley cole etc. Its football, things change.
  14. Yeah. Makes it very costly if we do have a big wage signing. Unless its changed, but i am pretty sure he still has the clause.
  15. Because he has a match highest earner clause. So if Rooney gets 250k then JT would have to get a 75k rise. Is rooney actually on 250k at united though? I think first team football and being number 1 striker and mourinho would get him to come for around 200k.
  16. Man u would be more willing to sell to Arsenal i would imagine but then i can't see rooney wanting to go there. TBH, the things i love most about this transfer are: He's versatile. High work rate. Will fit in well with the players we have. Won't get in the way of players like Lukaku, because they are totally different. Could even play together. Much cheaper than other alternatives. Home grown (Home grown requirement). I couldn't care less if he looks like shrek, or doesn't love the club. Provided he gives 100% which i am sure he would do. After all players want to be the best and win things.
  17. How many players actually love about the club. They seem to be a dying breed. Rooney playing his best would line up with Chelsea's interests, whether or not he loves the club. He can aspire to be the main man if he wants if that gets him to play better.
  18. If we buy rooney it would be to push torres out, not to play both of them. If we buy him, it would be to play at striker mainly and definitely not in behind torres.
  19. I assume we can't just sign up for the new Zealand premier league pass.
  20. I honestly don't get why they don't try and make money from it. They know that most big football fans watch these streams, the majority of whom would be more than willing to pay 100 quid a year for proper coverage of all the premier league matches online. It wouldn't damage the ticket sales because people will still go for the atmosphere etc. And they could even exclude any matches shown on sky to avoid them getting pissed off by it. It's a win win. The cameras and commentators are already there. The demand is definitely there. Seems like a no brainer. Baffles me in this day and age with all the technology and hd and 3D etc, that they can't show all the premier league matches.
  21. Lol. Just goes to show just how bullshit twitter and the papers all are.
  22. Well perhaps they should show all the matches themselves then most people would watch it that way. I would be more than willing to buy a premier league pass similar to what they do for the NBA and NFL to watch any game when you want. And its no big deal they will just shadow the isp. The piratebay has been blocked for ages, yet there are 200 proxies.
