Hazard needs to learn to stay on his feet...I believe he was the most fouled player in Europe for the last couple of seasons,but I guess referees in France were a tad bit lenient and felt obligated to protect him since he was one of the best talents in Ligue 1...he risks ruining his reputation and being tagged a diver for going down softly,especially because people know he is exceptionally strong for his size,as demonstrated by the way he wrestled the ball away from Rooney last week.... As for the match,at least we had a lot of positives to take away despite the loss last week...we need a little variety in our shape,this one-size-fits-all formation is easy to plan against,just changing personnel and slotting square pegs in round holes isn't enough...united look just as comfortable playing the diamond as they do with wide men...

Guys I am failing to come up with a fitting riposte when my Utd loving friends are referring to the two soft goals we conceded within the first quarter hour...I guess part of the reason I am drawing a complete blank is because I was shocked at the way we conceded those goals and my subconscious is refusing to make excuses...any help would be appreciated..

The last 10-15 minutes of the first half felt like RDM had pushed the attack slider all the way up to ultra.... Every blue shirt on the pitch was willing to burst his lungs for the team,take a bow guys...proud of you... As for Clattenburg, it was a shame...the FA might as well hand the title to United and save everyone else the trouble...we could have rested a few players after a tough Champions League outing if only we knew we weren't playing for points...

He has the sort of face that probably makes the senior player's feel guilty if the team loses with him in the side...that is the reason we still haven't lost a game in the league this season...

Hazard's through ball for Mata was soooo similar to the one that Mata played to him against Norwich...I bet those two practice that move once everyone leaves after training... Torres usually puts in a decent shift against Manchester United,I am hoping he will lift his game a notch next weekend...

According to the commentators, 3 out of the 4 goals Stoke had conceded this season prior to the Chelsea match had been from Set Pieces, so on one hand we did well to score from open play, and on the other failing to convert any one of our 13 corners given their record is a little alarming...maybe we are focusing a little too much of our energies on attacking movements in training? Sorry to speculate, but could well be...ability to score from set pieces is always handy... Having said that apparently 3 of the 4 goals Stoke have scored this season have come from Set Pieces, so we did well in defending them, although Walters cam desperately close..

According to whoscored, David Luiz played 15 long balls of whch 10 were accurate...no wonder I was feeling that he kept pumping the ball upfield for Torres from well within our own half at every opportunity he got...Torres, isolated as he was kept drifting wide chasing Luiz's balls (no pun intended) and Oscar didn't really look for second balls or flick-ons... Again according to the stats we didn't play a single Through Ball in the entire 90 minutes, Juve played 4...we were a little one-dimensional and lacking in creative ideas at times yesterday...I guess it will take time to change our style and approach to the game, let's just be thankful there were prominent signs of progress yesterday...
