We may just win this one but don't want to do United any favours....I'd rather City win the title than United...

A rant about rants.... We have had too many diplomatic managers of late,it would be a refreshing change to see a Chelsea manager who would proffer a spontaneous rant of his own volition or succumb to the inducement of the media...I for one wouldn't entirely disapprove if the media is able to elicit such a response from RB,as I believe it would take some of the pressure off the team...great managers have always done that,Fergie,Wenger,Redknapp,Keegan,Mourinho have all indulged in it to shift the focus off the players in difficult times....I'll actually prefer a passionate fulmination over the sort of pragmatic discourses that our recent gaffers seemed to have been capable of...the next time someone like Clattenburg costs us a match,Rafa's unequivocal condemnations would probably earn him a touchline ban,but I would take that over an apologetic explanation any day of the week...we loved Jose for his adoption of innovative methods to flout UEFA's touchline ban,we appreciated AVB for vehemently defending David Luiz in the wake of Neville's playstation comment,I'm sure RB will win us over with his unbridled displays of passion for the club...

If you consider the original press release a little carefully, you will find hidden in plain sight a blatant promise of imminent instability... We have been warned...
-
So it's true then...if we want to keep a manager for a while we have to relinquish our FA Cup winner's tag for a while...

If only he were retired,we could have brought him back in the capacity of manager...now that would have boosted the team's morale a couple of notches... :blue scalf:

Well now we have to finish in the top 4. .how serious should we be abour thursday night foolball? The club recently posted a profit and record turnover...but that didn't include our summer purchases,I can already see what next years figures are going to be like...we lost a lot of money tonight ..

How reliable is this Neil Ashton guy? It seems he is the source these rumors, I can see he is a Daily Mail reporter but that is hardly an index of credibility... https://twitter.com/neilashton_

I think the article below is worth a read...apparently in his recent biography of Guardiola, Guillem Ballague has discussed Roman's desire to bring Pep to the Bridge at length... Link to the book - Pep Guardiola: Another Way of Winning: The Biography Article -

Can Chelsea play with a false #9 like Barcelona?
LayZ replied to BOSS's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Aren't we already playing with a false no. 9 in Torres? I don't see the point of this thread,if we can play with Torres up front then we can play with any false/fake/pretentious/phony no. 9..... -
Didn't they draw their last match with Lazio 0-0? Arturo Vidal didn't score for fun there...they are mighty confident for a team about to be knocked out of the Champions League... :blue scalf:

Wow that's....convoluted...

I think Ramires would be a good choice for the long term...not right now of course, but he'll be ready in a couple of seasons...will always lead by example with his determination, his passion for the club, the effort he puts in etc...

This is from an old Daily Mail article... I refused to pay any heed to this at the beginning of this season, but I did keep the image..c'mon Robbie prove them wrong...

Afonso Alves? The guy finished 1 point behind Totti in the race for the European Golden Boot...

Drogba hugging Joe Cole in the treatment room after the Liverpool match...how desperate he must have been to get on the pitch... :blue scalf: Also what was Joe Cole doing in the treatment room?Didn't he spend enough time there during his days at the club?

In the league?because Wiki say 13...from 2000-2001 till date..

I hope we go for a couple of cut-price striking options and seal a deal for Falcao in the summer...1 striker just wouldn't do,we have to create competition... It would be best if we get Essien back in January and use him as backup for the rest of the season...buying a CM in January and expecting him to settle in to the team and form a working partnership with Mikel/Ramires,(not to mention settle in England/Premier League if bought from abroad) is just too much... I don;t really think we need defensive re-inforcements,we have talented players in every position in defence...
-
If buying Falcao means putting all our eggs in one basket once again, then I'd rather that we buy Remy,Lewandowski and half a dozen more cheap talented strikers...
-
West Borm away,City home(4 days after the crunch game at Turin) and Fulham home...I hate to say it but I can only see us picking up 4-6 points out of 9 in November...I'd be delighted if we get all 9,but it seems somewhat unlikely... Edit: Sorry,my mistake..the Fulham game is at the bridge..nevertheless they really pushed the gunners to the brink at the Emirates, they aren't really pushovers away from home...
-
I wholeheartedly agree with the OP,couldn't have said it any better myself...Sometimes I feel a little guilty as a Chelsea supporter when young players don't make it at the club...more for the ones we buy than for the ones who come through the ranks of our academy... Just consider the case of Gael Kakuta..he came to us in 2007,apparently after his 1st appearance for the reserves alongside Michael Ballack, the German legend said of him - "Go see the French lad, he is the star"...and since then he has played under 6 or 7 different managers...Carlo was quite impressed with Kakuta and the lad could probably have flourished under him...uncertailnty and instability is the last thing young players need to harness their fledgling potentials... It would be a crying shame if at least one of Mata,Oscar or Hazard don't win the Ballon d'or one day,we would have done a great disservice to world football...
-
I have never been so confident about a 2nd half result in years...the moment Mata missed that chance I just knew that Liverpool would score and we'd end up with a draw... We should have bought Berbatov...
