  1. I think we should sign this guy on a pre-contract and put him beside Matic. He is very good defensively AND attackingly. Then we can move Cesc to the #10 role.
  2. What I liked about his interview was that he spoke like a proper leader. One example is how he reponded when the interviewer asked him about the reaction: "I liked the reaction. I'm happy with the players." If someone like Cahill was here, with no disrespect to Gary, I assume he would have replied by saying, "We reacted very well." These little things can you the differences in true leaders. I also loved when he said he doesn't care about assists and he just wants Chelsea to win. I didn't like him when he first joined, but every day I love him more and more. Great attitude, positive, and upbeat. And one last thing, the man has got charisma in him.
  3. Don't be greedy. We could have also been only 1 point clear.
  4. Matic right now is the best player in the league. No one can convince me he is not.
  5. Our players need to have balls if we want to win this match. Unlike some of you I love it when we play on Monday mainly because of Neville and Carragher on monday night football. Watching their analysis is always a pleasure.
  6. A South American friend of mine told me that its usual for them to put their hand in the lower back of a woman and since Oscar is hovering over his hand he did it without noticing?
  7. I hope its not as stressful as last time. I've had enough of the butt clenching moments.
  8. Exactly on point. With no disrespect to Costa, he is not a game changer. He never looked to be our savior against Newcastle. Drogba for example, is a better player than Costa in these situations. When you need something from the game, you can always rely on him.
  9. This commentary is nothing compared to his commentary in pre-season for Chelsea Tv.
  10. BTW, this isn't fifa. Resting players doesn't make them more fit. Costa right now has the same problem Drogba had at the beginning of the season. Drogba improved massively after a run of games and so will Costa.
  11. Mourinho fucked up by selling Mata and Luiz. He should have never bought dirty Costa, aka Torres 2.0. Benitez needs to come back, Oscar and Hazard are shit. Things I read on talk chelsea these days...
  12. The backing off thing is literally Cahill's trademark. He has done it millions of times and so many times it has costed us a goal. He did against Adebayor against Spurs when we were managed by Benitez, he did it against Marcelo during the friendly against Real. He's done it against many more opponents but my memory does not serve me well. He is sort of defender that panics whenever he gets the ball. I don't want to take away anything from his great performances last season, but this season with the team applying a more positive approach to games he has got exposed many times. I wish we could get Varane. He amazes me with his composure and ball control whenever I watch him. Its not just that, he is a phenomenal player in terms of defending as well.
  13. After what I've seen today, I'm certain there won't be another Drogba. Its amazing how much the game changed when he came on the pitch. His chest control and in general his hold-up play is magnificent.
  14. Luis, although great at attacking, was at fault for the second goal. If you watch the second goal again, two men are on Sissoko, and Cissie on the right. Luis got attracted to the ball and set Cisse free.
  15. Drogba has start ahead of Costa for now.
  16. He said some of us will never view Lampard the same again, which is completely true. Otherwise I do not know what's the point of this discussion if we're all in the same side.
  17. It has to do with the difference in style in Sunderland and Tottenham. For me, styles make matches. Sunderland had the right style to try and come get a point and stop us from winning. Spurs on the other hand, their goal wasn't to stop us from winning, it was to win the game themselves. By doing that and also Pochettino's high pressing they always over-committed and got screwed over on the counter. Spurs pressed us in our half while Sunderland pressed us in their half, leaving no gaps behind. For me, if Spurs had the same approach, the result would be different. I'm not saying we weren't gonna win, just that getting the three points would be harder.
  18. You don't seem to understand my point, or maybe its just me not being able to deliver the message. I never complained about Drogba starting, I was completely fine with it. Read my two posts again, I was trying to point out that using 'the manager knows than you lot' is wrong and critics should be countered better than that. Everybody has the right to criticize and the others have the right to agree or disagree, and if they disagree they shouldn't come up with counter arguments like that.
  19. While I agree with everything you have said, but my main point wasn't that Mourinho shouldn't be supported all the time, I was trying to say its wrong to counter someone's argument like that. Yes he has earned the right for 100% backing from the supporters, but that doesn't make him immune to critics. Critics are pointing out mistakes and we shouldn't agree with anything Mourinho does blindly. Yes we do have to support him all the time but that does not necessarily mean that we shouldn't criticize him. Those two are completely different things and can be done at the same time. To me its kind of a similar situation to Hazard, when people say he should improve his finishing ability it doesn't mean they're not supporting him, they're just criticizing. You can't go out there and say we shouldn't do that because Hazard is a better player than all of us.
  20. If you're saying that we should agree to whatever the manager does solely because of the fact that he is the manager, then that is just wrong. People judge everyday, all the time. If you don't accept that then you're living wrong. If I cannot question someone who has a higher degree than me in a certain field, then what is the point of the word 'criticism'? What you said is just like saying Obama is the president, so nobody knows more than him. The kings and presidents who lead their country to war back in 1914 all knew more than us so we shouldn't say anything to them. Jose is not perfect. He makes mistakes too. I agree with everything you said and I think people who doubted Didier were very wrong, but saying that their point is invalid because they know less than the manager is just wrong.
  21. Oh god, it feels like the last time I watched Chelsea play was a year ago. I don't think the West Brom game is going to be enough.
