  1. Knowing Mourinho he won't say anything against the board or the club out of respect. He doesn't wanna come off as butthurt and would want the fans regret getting rid of him.
  2. Oh dear. I can't believe some here are still defending Mourinho. Appointing him was the biggest mistake this club has made in years, and his sacking, although too late, was a great decision. The longer Jose stayed, the more donkeys added to the team.
  3. Juve were definitely surrounded by bad mood prior to the start of last season. I don't think anyone here remembers how much hate allegri was getting before the season even started, particularly from Juve fans. He was in huge pressure but kept his cool and delivered.
  4. Milan is rotten to the core. They just signed Kevin Prince Boateng again. That alone shows their board's incompetence. A manager's record at Milan in recent years can never be judged upon with accuracy. Also, what conclusion can we draw if Allegri fails or succeeds in defeating Pep's Bayern? Any conclusion regarding this was drawn months ago. Juve, in a season where Conte himself said would even struggle for domestic dominance, went on to almost win Europe, a competition where Conte has been a massive failure at.
  5. So glad @CHOULO19 is here to silence the Serie A 'experts' who genuinely believe Conte is superior to Allegri. As someone who also watches a lot of Juve (always liked them a bit because my dad was a Juve fan), Allegri is a really good manager. He almost went to the extent of almost winning the Champions League which is something Conte can never dream of. His rotation policy and his ability to adapt to different scenarios is top draw. To add to that, he makes really smart substitutions in big games. For example, in the Home leg against Madrid in the CL Semi-final he brought on Pereyra, an attacking player, on for Tevez. Someone like Mourinho or even in some games Hiddink would have brought on a defensive midfielder into the game. This allowed Juve to be extremely dangerous on the counter to the point of being able to nearly score 2 or 3 more goals in the last minutes of the game Juve might have started the season terribly, but it was more or less expected given the loss of 3 important players in Vidal, Pirlo, and Tevez. Nevertheless, Max is a big part of Juve's awakening and is also building a world class team for the future.
  6. Allegri is a better manager than Conte. People can prefer Conte's more famous name if they want but even Juve fans will agree that Allegri is better. On a side note, we have become such a small-minded club haven't we? From signing players like Pato and Miazga to playing a pivot of Matic and Mikel against Watford! That right there is why I'm ok with not winning the league for 1 or 2 seasons if it is for the means of bringing in a manager who'll make us play like a top side again. The entire club is surrounded by negativity and conservatism, therefore positivity is what we need most. If some still want to play the underdog role then fair enough, but it won't get the club anywhere.
  7. From French to English, from English to French. This great story never has an end.
  8. When I get older, my greatest pride will be to tell my children about how in a 4.5 billion years old planet, I was born just in time to watch John Terry. From now till the end of the season, I will just watch and enjoy. Farewell, Mr. Chelsea.
  9. I just hope, for the sake of the squad, that this doesn't inflict a bad atmosphere within the team. We've just somewhat revived from a really bad half of a season, I don't want anything to destroy our progress.
  10. I just realized, Branislav fucking Ivanovic is going to be our captain next season. Tragic.
  11. This is fucking bullshit. Ivanovic gets a new contract with option for one more year and Terry gets none? Fuck off.
  12. If there is one thing this boy doesn't lack it's commitment. Some of Hazard's best performances in the Chelsea kit have come in games where we have been struggling, like Tottenham away last season. Cliche but the truth in this case: Form is temporary, class is permanent. Prince Eden shall conquer The Bridge once again.
  13. I bet this thread would never exist if Mourinho didn't get sacked.
  14. I've watched Juve a lot and IMO Allegri is easily better than Conte and Pellegrini. Pellegrini shouldn't even be compared to the two, as he's tactically terrible and has no plan B when things go downhill. Allegri on the other hand is not as defensive as Conte and is actually much better tactically. I also think Allegri will be much more comfortable with the pressure of the job as well. Lets not forget that when Conte left Juve he said that he felt Juve couldn't dominate domestically anymore. Much to the initial dislike of Juve fans Allegri comes and not only wins the domestic double with ease, but also takes them to the Champions League Final. Conte was the one who built the foundations of the great Juve side in 2015, though he never did or felt like he could take them to the next level. They were very poor in Europe and even started to question their future dominance in Italy. Allegri on the other hand took them to the next level. After their phenomenal success in 14/15, Allegri is currently building a team for the future while getting results. Everybody knew it was not going to be easy to lose three of your best players, as was reflective in the early results, but Allegri has built a new team very quickly. This Juve team is not only a serious threat to Pep's hopes of winning the CL with Bayern but also a huge contender themselves when they become stronger next season. Max Allegri for me has been the best manager in the world in past year or so. However, I wouldn't say I prefer him over Sampaoli as the Chilean has traits that make me favor him more, but he is clearly better than the two mentioned above.
  15. No disrespect, but how is he still playing for us? With the amount of childish mistakes he makes and overall how poor he is defensively he would have difficulty finding a starting spot in a lot of teams in the league. Chelsea can and should do better than him as a back-up option.
  16. Ivanovic has been horrendous since 2014.
  17. You can bring up as many individual examples as you like, but generally Simeone's team is a defensive and counter-attacking one, simple as that. With all the respect to Atletico and its fanbase, they do not have the expectations and ambition that top clubs like us should have, hence why they are content with the way they play. Atletico will always be an underdog, nothing more. We need to have a serious look at Sampaoli as our next manager. Chelsea at the moment are in a dire need of positivity. Sampaoli is a passionate guy and can bring us a Football with high pressing and a high defensive lane, with wave after wave of players supporting the attacking movement. He is also a tactically astute manager. Imo he should be by far our number one choice.
  18. I agree that my word choice of 'attacking' football was a bit vague and general. But yes, I agree that we do not have to have a Barca or Bayern sort of system where we dominate 80 percent of the position. A team that plays with urgency and will to attack can be successful in the long term if we have good managers who could go along with the philosophy along the way.
  19. "If you wanna get a woman, show her this. She is all yours."
  20. I said attacking football is better if you want to be a a top club for the long term. There are many reasons but mainly it's because the most talented players in the world refuse to play under this philosophy for a long period of time. Arsene Wenger is just a very poor manager. He lacks tactical intelligence and often lets his side down due to a lack of plan B. He also fails to adapt to certain situations in certain games.
  21. And why is that? Because Mourinho brainwashed Chelsea fans into thinking that counter-attacking football and playing like a small side is the Chelsea way? Btw 'should stand for' is just wrong. Many fans here including me don't want us to play like a small side anymore. Imo, In order for us to establish ourselves as a truly top club in the long term, we need to focus on attacking Football as a philosophy and choose our managers and players based on this philosophy.
  22. Look, I'm happy for all he has brought to this club and hope he enjoys a happy birthday, but saying how times are 'sad' and that we need him is just completely deluded. It's almost cult-like. We have made massive improvements given the context we were and that alone makes us happier. Some here are willing to go back to that rubbish Football just for the sake of Jose being manager. Chelsea is above any player, manager, or owner.
  23. I don't think it's that silly tbh. Let's say Costa stays on his feet. He still has to jump over Mertesacker's challenge which means he will have to slow down and that will greatly increase Koscielny's chances of catching up to him. Besides, referees these days don't call a foul if you don't go down.
