We're incredibly lucky to have him. Our board must use all its power to make him stay. World class quality and incredible passion. What more can you ask from a player?
-
Come on lads, don't make this the last European game at the old bridge. For a venue that has hosted so many european night thrillers, it would be a shame if we went down without a fight. Lets get behind the team and support them, no more shite about getting spanked. That's not the Chelsea mentality and shouldn't be our mentality, no matter if we're playing AFC wimbledon or Barcelona.
-
That was just an example. I would even sell him for 25m and wouldnt care where he goes.
-
Why would we hold Oscar as back up when we got the Chinese offering shitload of money for him and when we have someone like Musonda who can play that role?
-
Sorry can't delete quote. Oh my goodness. His 5th professional game and he is absolutely bossing it. There should be no reason that Oscar should be ahead of him in the pecking order. You just need to have the eyes to judge based on quality rather than fame. And I'm not even talking about the potential. He IS a better player than Oscar.

Willian never ceases to fill me with joy weak in weak out. His drive, his determination, his power, his skill, it's all brilliant. He is not just a consistent 7/10 player anymore, he is world class and he showed it against PSG.
-
Can't wait to see those brilliant slide tackles of his... not.
-
You know, for how much Southampton get praised for their beautiful football, they were proper dirty cunts today and just kept hoofing it. Van dijk is a diving cunt.
-
The more I think of it the more I feel he might be the first Chelsea player I've hated. Even the sight of him on the bench seems to make me angry.

I just don't see how Matic can be of any use for Conte. Given that he'll mainly use the 3-5-2, Fabregas will be playing in the Regista role. Matic is too immobile and poor on the ball to play in any position other than a pure cdm. If He is going to be play the Pirlo role, he's going to need power and energetic midfielders who also have a decent of bit of quality in them going forward playing in front of him, just like Pirlo did with Marchisio and Vidal or Pogba. He'll also need two complete and energetic full-backs on either side. Not only that, we already to know teams are going to man mark him therefore he will need ball-playing centre-backs playing behind him to carry the ball out. This is surely the end of Ivanovic, Terry, and Cahill.
-
It won't be 'just' a Fabregas-Vidal midfield, in a 4-4-2 it lacks positional discipline and in 4-2-3-1 it's the same. In a 3-5-2 however another midfield is need for Fabregas to occupy the Regista role and for Vidal + other midfielder to play in front of him. That being said, Vidal is the player I've been crying for at Chelsea. We have too many players he can do this but not that. Vidal can do everything, we should have signed him in the summer but whatever, I would gladly take him in the next transfer window.

I actually think that's his best game so far for Betis. His passing and decision making have improved a lot in these three games. He has massive potential and if he improves his final ball even more, he will become a great player.
-
These are not ordinary first few games by any means. These are his first professional games, during one in which he had his nume sung by the Betis fans because he was so impressive. Not ordinary at all. Anybody think he can get a starting spot at Celta Vigo? They play beautiful football and it would be a fantastic loan for him next season if the next manager isn't ready to yet have him in the squad. I really don't think Betis' style of football is ideal for his development for another 12 months.

For the love of god let Diego take penalties.

I know he has attitude problems, but he's so young and maybe with Drogba as a coach he can manage(They're both from Ivory Coast). This guy is an absolute tank and would work brilliantly in Conte's 3-5-2.

Best possible lineup. No oscar is nice. Very nice.
-
I would play cesc in the pivot too. Every long ball he sends seems to be extremely dangerous. Besides that, he's coping with the opposition's pressure very well lately. RLC is a tricky one. This is a game where our central midfielders will have to do a lot of running and closing down. Fabregas is an exception because he is our most creative player. I know it sounds cliche but I don't think RLC is ready for this sort of game yet. Without Matic, Terry, and Zouma we are really low on the defensive end so I think a very conservative approach to this game would be equivalent to an invitation to get ourselves spanked. I really want us do have a go at them because all of our attacking players but Hazard are in top form. Playing a Mikel-Fabs pivot would be suicide if all we're trying to do is park the bus.
-
Matic is suspended. A blessing in disguise?
-
Indeed. Allegri once again showed what a tactical genius he really is. He let them attack for most of the game knowing that their only threat beside counter-attacking is Higuain. His trust in Barzagli's and Bonucci's ability to contain Higuain, the best player in the league right now, really payed off. Those two were god tier, especially Barzagli who imo positionally and instinctively is the best in europe. Morata was taken off at a perfect time and Dybala>Sandro was a bit of genius. Sandro contributed a lot to Zaza's goal. Juve as a unit defend best in Europe. And it's crazy good how their backline played in an unfamiliar formation without Chiellini.
-
Those who are singing Mourinho's name should be ashamed of themselves. Pathetic. Great half.
-
Mourinho at United? Bring it on. He'll play the same shite football he did here, spend big money, might even win the league in his second season, but he will eventually fall out spectacularly with his players and leave them in a worse position they're now. Their fans are so desperate for success that they will forget the attacking philosophy and reliance on youth that has been established in the club for many years. If they had a single brain cell they would go for Pochettino. He fits the united philosophy and his plan would require much less transformation than Mourinho. It's even funnier when you see their fans rambling about how their plan is to go Lvg-Mou-Poch, implying that the team would have to adjust to Mourinho's needs and then re-adjust to Pochettino's. But this is very hypocritical coming from a Chelsea fan. We've had a winning manager in old mourinho, an attacking and winning one in Ancelotti, a revolutionary one in AVB, and then a defensive-minded Mourinho. Some need to realize that the basis of long term success lies in the stability of the club's footballing philosphy, and how the club chooses its managers and players based on that. We can bring all the top managers here if we want, but unless they all generally play the same style, we will never enjoy long term success.
-
Our best talent. Roman should use the money for the academy elsewhere if Loftus Cheek and especially him don't make it here. This kid has the mentality and is an absolute gem for a guy who just played his first professional game.
-
He was never bad for us. In fact he was very good. He is 10 times the defender Cahill is and he absolutely thrives when he has a leader beside him.
-
Quality and passion. He is by far my favourite player from this new generation of Chelsea players. Hiddink has not done a 'good' job by any means, but he has gave new life to Costa just like he did with Drogba in 2009. Imo he is so good that if him and Hazard are in top form they can get us past PSG. Wishful thinking against two top defenders in David Luiz and Thiago Silva and them being a good side as a whole, but we have nothing to lose so lets go for it. Next season with a competent manager and hopefully an injury free season, he will take the league by storm.
-
Hiddink is more concerned with continuing with the unbeaten streak than to actually win games.
