Grit, physical, rough. 

My guy is gone. Strangely enough I'm fine with this. I've been ready for this moment. Seven years is a long time. I did not expect him stay this long when he joined and I'm glad I got to watch him play in Blue for that long.
He came with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Most crumble under that kind of pressure but he never let the pressure get to him. I was always highly impressed by that.
His fitness always astounded me. Rarely missed a game and completing the full 90 min pretty much all the time. And the amount of fouls he would just absorb, including a ridiculous number of nasty fouls, yet he would just get up and play on. Never complained, never got angry and never sought to get some sort of (physical) revenge. That level of self control... I've never seen that in all my years watching football. Very inspiring to say the least.
And he's such a likeable guy. Funny, chill, humble but a bit brash still, and very warm and inviting. Oh yeah, and happy. My kind of guy.
I'm grateful for the memories. Not just a Chelsea legend but a legend of English football. Thoroughly enjoyed watching him play.

Even at our lowest low, the very best teams were afraid of us because of you.. It was a pleasure to have you in Our Team, really. So many great skills, goals, trophies, memories.
I just hope you enjoyed as much as we did and I hope we won't have to face you as an opponent.

Eden's season in review   

My response was objective. I stated 3 facts. Hazard has got the most goal contributions in the PL this season, Hazard has been directly involved in 49 % of our goals and Hazard has been a key player in our last 2 PL titles.
There's nothing to dispute there which is probably the reason why you decided to go with cheap sarcastic digs instead of actually trying to dispute them. 
 
How is it Hazard's fault that the quality of the squad has been declining over the past years because the board continues to spend money on shit players like Drinkwater and Bakayoko ?
Yes and next season we'll be back in the CL again. Hazard played a major part in that. You do realize that right? 
16 goals and 15 assists in a team where all our attacking players ,apart from him, struggled to deliver any end product.
I mean 31 goal contributions with the closest player having 9 yet he's the one we can't rely on ?

Are the likes of Salah, Mané, Sterling, Silva, Aguero, ... so shit that an inconsistent Hazard, that apparently regularly doesn't show up, still manages to be directly involved in more goals then all of them ? 
That's so weird because i remember some people on here talking about how amazing all these other players were. How much better they were then Hazard yet they can't seem to beat an inconsistent Eden Hazard in goal contributions over an entire PL season ?

No idea. I'm skeptical tbh but the twitter account it came from does seem to be a legit chelsea fan account with a decent amount of followers so it would be kinda weird if he made it all up.

Unbelievable how Hazard managed to extract 15 assists from this lot

Sort of a preview of what we'll be like post Hazard if we don't get a freeze on the transfer ban. Average players like Willian, Pedro, and Alonso running around being totally ineffectual. We simply have a whole bunch of players who turn up once in every 5 matches. The rest of the time they're midtable standard.

The appreciation, or the lack of it for Hazard on this thread just because fans are butthurt that he might leave (when he has all the right because the club did nothing to get back on top) is laughable. One might think this is Real Madrid fans page with their zero respect for the players.
If you want to be pissed, be pissed at our board. Hazard is the best player in the PL for years now and we are on decline for years now. 
He did amazing stuff for this club, something every Chelsea fan should deeply appreciate and respect. 

Not his most spectacular performance, but after setting up Ruben for the first goal and scoring the winning penalty, that's hardly abysmal.
