  1. Ok. You are really exaggerating. Watford in our 3-0 victory under Sarri last season. I think from Deeney and made an excellent reflex save to keep it at 0-0. Please check that Then we went on to win 3-0 and that would later confirm our qualification for the UCL this season. The save from Mitrovic at Craven Cottage last season when we were 2-1 up. World class save. Another match winning save. Did you forget the double save he made from Van Dijk and Salah in the Super Cup game this season? Absolute world class saves (s). When we beat Frankfurt on penalties last season, not only did he make the saves in the penalty shoot out, he also made couple crucial saves in 90 mins to stop them winning the game. We would then go on to win the Europa League. When Sturridge scored that equalizer last season, Kepa made several crucial saves earlier on in game, most notably from Mane to keep us in front. Leicester beat us at the Bridge earlier last season deservedly. He made a world class save from Ndidi too. Also made a top save from Nathan Redmond this season when we battered Southampton 4-1 at St Marys. The angle which he saved that made the save even more impressive. All top reflex saves. When Kepa got dropped for a few games, he came back with a bang against Liverpool in the cup game and made several important saves to ensure we got through to next round and kept a clean sheet. DDG is also responsible for many errors but you still consider him world class right? Yesterday's goal was another pathetic mistake from him. I am not denying Kepa has made some glaring errors but just think it is OTT with you believing he is worst signing ever etc and to even compare him to Baka and Drinkwater is just ridiculous.
  2. He is only 23 too. Mark my words, a few years he will be regarded as one of the best LB around. Sarr would tear many FB apart let's face it. Look what he did to Liverpool. Chilwell is not bad defensively. Not excellent but his strengths are going forward.
  3. WOW! What a way to silence people.
  4. He got done by Sarr a couple of times by Watford's most dangerous player but going forward he has looked really good going forward.
  5. You mean Jamal Lewis? He is Norwich LB. Aarons plays RB for Norwich. Both exciting talents.
  6. So did Kepa. He has the same attributes as DDG. Are people actually forgetting some of the top saves Kepa made? Of course he has showed qualities. There is a reason he dislodged DDG as the Spain no.1 keeper. I think you have forgotten because Kepa certainly made some top saves albeit made errors also, hence why I say it is not an urgent position we need to upgrade.
  7. The issue I have is who is actually willing to pay that much money for him? Especially right now? The fee and then his wages. The top clubs don't necessarily need him as well. PSG? Maybe but with the wages Neymar and Mbappe are on, then will they even pursue that? He is a top player but I think this season has shown that we can cope without him and selling him would not be the worst idea if it strengthened other areas of the squad.
  8. Ridiculous statement. I have faith in him. Reminds me of DDG when he started. He will improve. He had a good first season. Not an immediate priority for me. However certainly not as drastic as you make out.
  9. We were linked with him. I am sure we didn't bid for him though, as did no one else and he has lived up to his fee. I think most clubs know Werner's qualities and it is not due to doubts about his quality. Similar with Aubemayang. Most clubs know he was a top striker but there may be other circumstances why clubs didn't bid for him bit did it surprise people to see him score for fun at Arsenal? No. My mere point is one club going in for a player without much competition does not mean that player is not top class.
  10. I don't recall Arsenal fans saying they signed Pepe for cheap but more the case that for a team who apparently had a limited budget ended up spending a lot of money on one player. They managed to do in instalments. The fee was very high and I don't see how any Arsenal fans can say £72m for Pepe is cheap, even at this point last season. They were happy with the transfer because he had produced brilliant numbers at Lille and I thought he would be really good there too. My point is right now it is a bargain. Ziyech has been brilliant for the past few seasons for Ajax. Also produced in the UCL for past 2 seasons as well against top teams. £33m for me is a bargain. If he does not live up to expectations then you can say the transfer week has not worked out but his market value is a lot higher than £33m. Werner too. We have bought him for around £45m which is a bargain. His current market value and considering other fees players have gone for, it is a bargain because at this moment in speaking, we have bought two players who have been exceptional for low fees. Pepe had one season where he was outstanding. Werner has been scoring goals for fun in the Bundesliga for what? The last 3 seasons. So even if that does not work out, at the time we have bought the two players it is for a bargain. Regarding your point about if a player was that why weren't bigger clubs after him, I disagree. You see this with top players all the time. Why did no other team compete with Arsenal to sign Aubameyang? Why did no other big team team apart from Liverpool put in a bid for Van Dijk? Why did not no other big teams go for Bruno Fernandes? Other big clubs not going for a player does not mean that they are not that good. It can mean that they are focusing on other areas or just don't need the player as much.
  11. It is not a mockery of them. I am making the point more to the fact that we have signed two top players for a bargain fee. If it doesn't work out it doesn't, however the fee we have bought both for is a bargain considering how good they have been for their respective sides.
  12. West Ham also paid the same fee for Haller....
  13. This one was funny too. Arsenal sold Gnabry to Werder Bremen. He scored a hattrick for Germany and they took a dig at Arsenal as can be seen above. Arsenal's response was funny though. They mentioned that on the topic of hattricks and followed it up with Parlour's hattrick for Arsenal against Werder Bremen
  14. Deep this. We bought Ziyech and Werner combined for less than United paid for Maguire at £80m
  15. I get the momentum part but I think this will benefit us. The Sheffield United game is one where they will put full effort into it and them another game against us who will dominate majority of possession and as the game gets on you would think that fatigue will show in their team. I see it as a positive for us.
  16. Sancho was awful on Saturday himself. Havertz was just coming back from an injury and was a doubt for the game which probably affected his performance also.
  17. Icardi for me is a goal poacher, but the rest that were named aren't.
  18. I remember watching this game on BT Sport. Leipzig won 2-0. What a brilliant goal that was. Keita scored the other goal. Was a really good game. Wow the speed is crazy. I find it weird when people say at Chelsea he will be up against packed defences. The way teams set up against Leipzig is no different to how they set up against us. Bar Dortmund, Bayern and maybe Leverkusen and Gladbach, most teams will be on the defensive against Leipzig. It is not as if teams are going gung-ho against them.
  19. I don't understand the objection against Chilwell. When Leicester beat us at the Bridge last season, he along with Pereira were the best players on the pitch. He was absolutely sensational. I have been studying him closely for past 3 seasons and I am surprised at all the criticism he gets. Open play, offensively, he is one of the best FB around. His crossing and passing is quite good too and seems people are forgetting he is just 23. In the few matches he has played for England also, he has looked very impressive. I think he is going to grow into a top LB.
  20. We have a lot of CM/AM but I still think Barkley is a useful addition. There has been a few games this season where he has played CM role and left me thinking that he should have played here more as he looked really good in the few games we played him there. Also he looks decent sometimes in the AM role when we play 3-4-2-1. I mean something has to give, but I am a fan of Barkley.
  21. That would be a grave mistake. Gilmour would benefit much more from having Jorginho in the team and learn from him. Experience is also important. If people think Gilmour is ready to start regularly, they have another thing coming. He still needs time. It is like with Willian last summer, when people were annoyed we did not sell him as they were convinced CHO was better and it turned out that Willian was actually needed and despite his inconsistencies, we probably would not be in top 4 had Willian not been around this season.
  22. Well I guess we can say that about loads of players. Why did no one try to sign Ziyech apart from us especially the deal we got him for? Aubameyang is world class striker with one year left on his contract. Why has no one put a bid in for him yet? In the end of the day, Boga has been a standout player in Serie A. The interest in him will be genuine. He is the real deal and getting better. Just because a club doesn't show interest don't mean the quality aren't there but as Killer said, big clubs are being linked with Boga. The interest from Napoli is genuine. More will follow too. Like I say this season he has been outstanding.
  23. 24 years old. He scores goals and creates for his team mates too. His stats back this up. Unless you are being sarcastic, his record is fantastic and he is still a kid really.
  24. Our present and future is so exciting. I know there are some doubts with people over Chilwell but I really like him and think he is only going to get better. We buy him and James and Chillwell is set for the near decade. Gilmour, Kovacic both at a good age. Ziyech at a good age then we have Mount, Hudson-Odoi, Pulisic, Werner and Abraham. Boga looks unlikely but say he came you can add him to the equation. A lot of people are going to say Werner went to us because of the money, but looking at it, we have such an exciting project. Young manager who is setting his mark on the game and the potential in the team is crazy. Exciting moments.
  25. Not youth, the report doesn't say that. But a good football age to have Ziyech.
