  1. The more I think about it I would like for us to make a bid for RVP. Him and his wife are settled in London and children love school over here. Take the hint, he may just want to join us. Yes, it may cause a rift as Torres would not want to be benched but look at Real, 2 brilliant strikers in Higuain and Benzema. Why can't we do the same now Drogba has left. Torres hasnt proven himself at Chelsea and most people if you had to have RVP over Torres, I would say yes and we could get him for cheaper than other players like Hulk
  2. He is off to Borrusia Dortmund, not Bayern pal
  3. That doesnt mean he is leaving. He said a few weeks before that he would like to stay on at Atletico and honour his contract
  4. He has not said he wants to leave. He has said in other words, "no comment". He will return to training and wait until an official bid is made by someone and then up to him and his club if he wants to move
  5. We don't need a guy who has been a Tottenham reject for his whole time there and there fans chanting "Tottenham reject" when we play them so no to this transfer as there are much better options available
  6. Quality player but this is an untrue rumour and is not going to happen
  7. I think that is why they are bringing in these new under 21 rules. Apparently gears young players up for the big stage and so on. However whilst a loan would benefit him I still believe he can learn a lot at us first. I would not mind seeing him play in the next gen series.
  8. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1248849-chelsea-fc-assessing-piazon-blues-youngsters-futures-under-di-matteo Nice read this is for anyone interested. Agree with most things said, particularly about Kakuta. I have always seen the ability in him but just seems his time may be coming to an end which would be sad. I hope he is given a crack or haves a good spell at another Premiership team has if we end up selling him, I believe he will flourish at another team which will be a kick in the teeth. Discussions welcome
  9. It doesnt matter about what they have done, if we are we might as well be talking about signing Owen because of his goals for Liverpool way back or even buy Alan Smith and hope he gets his goalscoring records back. Cavani is hot on form right now, that is the difference and I think he would take the premier league by storm. Torres is clearly not the same player as he was at Liverpool anymore
  10. I don't want us to sell Torres and it will not happen, I just support the idea of signing another striker to compete with him and show he has to perform so I trust RDM in whatever he decides to do
  11. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/7881048/Torres-offered-no-guarantees I am happy RDM will take this stance. He is the manager and I hope there is no player power like the reported when AVB was in charge. Which is why I still support Torres but would support any move if RDM wants to buy a striker. Tbh I give Torres credit for the hattrick in the game against QPR and the decisive goal against Barcelona but for a whole season, hmmm still doubts
  12. He was not "shit". Just got found out a bit and did not improve on his performances. He is very young of age and has time to improve which I believe he will if given the chances, I actually believe Sturridge would have made a difference if he was at the Euros. Ramires struggled when he first came but after a few months turned out a brilliant player for us, so have faith
  13. Off topic but Cahill is a quality defender. Ever since the Napoli game, he has been solid and think he is going to end up being a Chelsea legend. I actually think Cahill as a burst of pace in him and has been a very good signing for the small fee that we have got him for. Barcelona, Arsenal and Tottenham, in these three games he has shown why he is a quality defender and will only improve, but as you say back on topic
  14. Don't no where to write this so I will write it here. The season review overall was decent. As I said already we need the Skysports and ITV based commentary and sometimes, maybe longer footage of games. I think it is also quite disrespectful that there was no mention about the youth team who won the youth cup this season. When we last won the youth cup there was footage and mentions. There should of been footage of this and how one of the key players of the youth cup team in Piazon, won the young player of the year award. Disappointed in that tbh, these players are the potential future of Chelsea.
  15. Well the good news is as we now have a permanent manager in RDM he will know how he want to use Moses if he buys him. Only thing is we originally made a bid for Moses when we did not even have a permanent manager which maybe means that Abramovich or someone else in that tier is sanctioning the transfer which I would not like the idea of. If we want Moses, I hope RDM wants to buy him because he can identify his talents. Regarding Moses, I have never seen a winger like him who has completely raped Sagna the way he did before
  16. Increasing reports are that we are closing in on a £10m move for him. While I feel he is not needed, I will welcome him with open arms and hope he becomes an even better player if he joins here
  17. Well I will be fed up if Torres does not hit this season running, we had two quality strikers in Torres and Drogba last season and certainly wouldnt mind seeing RVP here. With all respect to Torres, RVP is a better player and the club's needs should come before a players needs
  18. Well if we test their resolves who knows? They said they would not let go of Fabregas or Nasri but they did in the end. I doubt we will get him but I think he would consider us. Well we are the Champions League winners. I hope we do gather some interest in him
  19. Thinking about it, why not try and make a cheeky bid? Who knows, he may like the project building up at Chelsea
  20. You have a point, I don't want to overhype him but judging what I have seen I do believe he will be a success but you are right, there is a big leap and he still has a lot of developing to do. That wasnt a dig at Josh but just feel Chalobah has the pyhsical skills to go along with his all round general play which could be benefical in future
  21. Victor Moses agent has reportedly said that he will try to make Moses move to Chelsea as much as he can. He also is stated as saying that it is nothing do with money reasons. He says that he advised Moses from moving to City few seasons ago to ensure he stayed at Wigan, before anyone says he is just looking for money. Wouldnt mind Moses but he would benefit with another season at Wigan, especially if we get another winger even though the facilities are not that great he will improve there. Mceachran has been touted as a possible exchange (on loan presumably). Would not be a bad move but if it is a Swansea situation with Josh I would advise against it, although I do see him making a few starts if he goes there but as many others have said I reckon getting a solid season at a Championship club would be beneficial either way. He has age on side
  22. Out of our youth, Chalobah is the one I am looking forward to see progress to the first team the most. He is the youngest representative for the England U19 at the championships and is a permanent starter in the team and scored against Croatia today. He has been playing above his age groups for club and country for some time now and truly believe he is going to follow Terry in being a rock at the back, even though he can excel as a DM/CM. Maybe he will be captain one day but although I am excited for the likes of Piazon, Feruz etc Chalobah has been at Chelsea his whole career. His anticipation, balance, possesion of the ball is world class. He has been playing with our reserves even at schoolboy ages and has always put in a shift. Would be brilliant to see him make an appearance soon, even if it is a brief apperance in a cup game but he deserves it. Will be interesting to see what RDM does with him. He will learn at Chelsea but he trains with the first team quite often and maybe a loan to a Championship team would do him good as experiencing first team football will enhance his game. He is playing for his country 2 years above his age group and is a consistent performer, even though being the youngest there. It is a matter of time that he starts pressing for the first team because his reserve/youth team plays have been astonishing. IMO he is going to surpass Mceachran at Chelsea. But just for anyone who is unsure of him we have a star in the making at us
  23. They dont't have that much strikers apart from Piquionnne (who probably will leave), Carlton Cole, Baldock and Vaz Te who Allardyce liked playing on the wings so looks a decent option to go West Ham, hopefully if they don't buy other loads of strikers
  24. People can't prove that Torres scoring at the Euros means, he is all of a sudden goalscoring hero at Chelsea. He has been poor with us. If he manages to get in a good goalscoring spell with us and get over 20 goals I will begin to accept that he finally is adjusting to his £50m transfer fee. He got he golden boot at the Euros yes, however their were spells last season where he looked like he was getting the hang of scoring again but then was inconsistent. For instance scoring against Swansea and working brilliantly with Mata then going on another poor run of form. Scoring 2 against Genk then losing form again. He scored an impressive hattrick against QPR then has a poor game against Newcastle and Liverpool in the league so I still have huge doubts. But as TorontoChelsea said I have nothing against Torres outside football, it is purely football reasons. I am behind every single Chelsea player and hope Torres is a success here, especially as we are going to need him to stand up much more now we don't have Drogba but looking at his time at Chelsea so far, I have every right to have my doubts
  25. I would 100% like Torress to succeed at Chelsea but I have high doubts and will continue to. We saw Drogba come up big for us when needed last season but Torres just doesnt turn up in these sort of games. He hasnt proven himself at us and how many chances are we going to give him. Hopefully we do buy another quality striker do provide competition and keep Torres on top of his game. Against Arsenal home and away last season he was just invisible in attack as was he against Liverpool as well. People may want to back him now but come next season if he does not hit off, many people here may have to change their words. That is why I am fully supportive of the move for Hulk as he can step in up front if Torres is not on form. He was very sharp in games against QPR and Genk but he did not deliver on a consistent basis. He scored 2 well taken goals against Ireland but their level of calibre is quite low and next season we don't have Drogba to turn to if Torres is misfiring. I am excited of what the new season brings ahead for us but we need another striker for sure IMO like the situation at Real Madrid who have 2 quality strikers. As Justin said he will not be the same player at Liverpool, he will get goals but do I have trust in him for a whole season? No, he has had many chances and not turned up. He was very outspoken of the signing of Mata claiming that he would help him score goals but after that Swansea game it just dried up. What will be the difference next season? That is why with the absence of Drogba we should look to buy another striker as Sturridge is not a proven striker for us and other teams, no matter how much he wants to play there Hopefully he does kick on next season though and score much more goals because it is about time you served us with a 20+ goalscoring season
