  1. Look it is clear that most of (including me), would prefer Lukaku over Torres, and during the summer I wanted him to stay with us however the loan works for both us and the player. Had he been here, he would have stalled due to not being a prominent fixture in the team, like last season. But he got his loan to West Brom with a good manager who has helped him develop. Lukaku is getting regular football with lower expectations and he has proved himself. While it is annoying to think he is outperforming our strikers, he is going to come back a much better player. Imagine we had kept him here, like last season, would have been awful. He did not manage a league goal last season and going out loan was a good choice. If you asked me who would I prefer as our no.1 striker right now I would want Lukaku, but would I want to abort the loan? No way, he is improving down there and will benefit him to return in the summer, providing we have our long term manager and transfer plans sorted out.
  2. Has guided Watford to 2nd place in the table. Yes, he made tons of loan signings but to gel a team of players who do not know each other into a team of winners and chasing promotion is excellent. One of the youngest managers around and is over exceeding expectations at Vicarage Road. Just hope he can guide Watford in the Prem.
  3. Why Tottenham beat Arsenal? A draw is the best result for that game.
  4. Not only is he scoring, he is a nightmare to defenders, never letting them lest on their laurels like Drogba was, complete powerhouse. He will thrive here next season if given the chance, I am sure.
  5. KDB scores for 10 men Werder, nice once!!!
  6. Deserved a thread of his own, finally someone has made one
  7. He also was one of our top scorers last season from an unfavoured position out wide. All his goals was from the wing and now he is upfront for Liverpool, he is still showing he can score. How it itches me that Liverpool are going to have a prolific goalscorer for the next few seasons. ARGH!
  8. About time we beat them away from home. Ever since they became an elite force with the money (bar Robinho debut) they beat us every season at the Etihad and it is doing my head in, especially as they always seem to win by the odd goal. Time to change that. I hope that Kompany fails his fitness test as that is a huge boost to our chances of winning there. If he and Barry pass their fitness test, both teams have pretty much, there strongest teams available. Should be an entertaining game with a lot of stake on it.
  9. No, that is rubbish and rightly so. Imagine the conspiracy theories that would be claimed if that was allowed? Teams would be accused of purposely trying to fall out from the UCL to qualify for the Europa League the following season. Especially if their league form is vulnerable.
  10. Hurt my eyes watching that first half, atrocious game and crap atmosphere. Liverpool one is a much enjoyable game, shames me to say.
  11. Just hanging on, this reminds me of that epic semi final with the first team last year. This is same thing but with the youth. Alex Davey is excellent, no wonder he plays for the U21 on a regular basis.
  12. So irrelevant. What makes you say that and that is quite offensive. This idea of buying players and loaning them out may not work out. He will only join IMO if he knows he is guaranteed to be a part of the first team. Our record of loaning players then keeping them in the first team is not very good, we usually move them on. Even when they come back and perform they leave eg Sturridge. Personally, I think it is best he stays at Hamburg and develops in a continuously improving league where he starts week in week out. No need for him to move here at this stage of his career.
  13. Undeserved lead I would say as they should be in front but it is the goal that matters. Brilliant from Boga, IMO best talent that will come through here in a few years. Has done amazingly for the youth and U21 and still only a schoolboy.
  14. I see, I see. I thought he would start as well, I think it maybe was to do with a slight niggle somewhere. Also I presume Ake is with the first team squad. Shame he misses out on sunny Barcelona. At least he gets to train with the first team though.
  15. Lol, Pires was running his mouth off stating that Arsenal will progress past Bayern, "not like the Chelsea way but the Arsenal way" now look how funny that is now, been made to eat his words
  16. He is I think because we were desperate to beat off competition to sign him so we offered him a huge salary. A dream to earn that much at his age, good that there is no reports of unrest in the club over the players wages. Also, the loan players as well, Lukaku is on around £40k plus I believe. While Chalobah is on around £15k.
