  1. Good to see Cahill have another strong game. So much people feared he would be skinned by RVP but was solid alongside Terry.
  2. He definitely has improved his defensive work rate which Mourinho has helped him with. Had a couple bright sparks going forward and although was not at his best going forward it was United. As the season goes on I am sure he will start playing at his electrifying best. No doubts about it. Has balance, speed, passing ability, just a bit more improvement on finishing/shooting and he will be a complete player.
  3. Looking back at the recorded game once again yes 'parked the bus' is the wrong term for people to use. We got forward much more times than we did against Bayern but we maybe could of shown just a little more bit to win. We got forward a few times and had some nearly moments but ultimately not one team done enough to win the game and in our case just feel we could have won if we pressed them more and kept going at them consistently.
  4. Agree with you about MVG but on Friday night live he stated that he is trying to aim for a spot in the Netherlands team for World Cup. I can understand that is not started yet because is still young and learning but if he has limited action he will not get picked. He was picked for the national team because he was playing week in week out at Vitesse and impressing.
  5. I am not sure about that because Overmars actually stated that MVG chose Chelsea over Ajax and as much as Ajax tried convincing him to come he rejected the move and wanted to move to Chelsea. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23178229
  6. When Lampard signed a contract which was a relief for most people as we thought he could leave, I don't think anyone would think he would be starting our first 3 games which he has done. Did not see at all. Mourinho needs to rest him sometimes and rotate IMO as much as a legend he is. He has started every single game. I think he should be used as Giggs does but a bit more obviously as he has more legs than him. What an ironic turn. He looked like he would not be offered a contract and then you see him starting our first 3 games
  7. Don't always agree with what you write but I am 100% with you on this. Even though Arsenal are a much inferior side I can see Mourinho doing the same type of play again and sitting back when we play them even though it is quite certain we can destroy them with 11 men home or away.
  8. Anyone know the fare for sitting on a parked bus for 90 minutes and not looking to move forward?
  9. Good to come out with the point but I hope Jose does not resort to these tactics every big game. Looking at it, 7 points from your first 3 games is not bad but looking at the attacking talent we have here it would be encouraging to see Mourinho actually set out to attack teams. When we beat with Bayern and basically 'parked the bus' it was a bit more understandable because the team compared to now was much more inferior. People may be shocked of the fans reaction who are giving the team stick but part of being a fan is also identifying things that you would like to improve in your side and with me that is Mourinho's tactics. Yes, happy with the point but I feel we could of had a real go at United this match. Not even bringing on Mata, I think was a bit ridiculous. I just wish Mourinho could have the mentality of thinking we have a strong team who can beat United. The other day a member posted on this forum a quote from Mourinho which was something where he was stating with the attacking talent the team has he is going to attack teams but 3 games so far and lets be fair have been rather laid back. Even we got the point, Jose's plan was "we want a draw" and clearly did not do enough to try and win the game. I was at carnival anyway and missed the game and was disappointed the two events clashed. Turns out I did not miss much. Watched the full replay of the match and have to be honest the way we set out to contain United did not impress me. I just don't get why people get so angry when other people criticize. It is not as if we are judging where the team will finish based on the one game. People, (well especially me) would just like a bit more attacking intent because I am sure we could have possibly won if we had shown that. We neutralised RVP quite well and that is pleasing and got a point at OT but like I said the intent to not win the game was disappointing. A point suits both teams, a bit more us at this stage however a little more intent and this game could of been ours IMO.
  10. You do realise you are contradicting yourself? I think you were the one who started calling me names. You are not really a smart person are you?
  11. Please stop with these suggestions he earned a move here on merit. He was Wigan's best player by miles.
  12. LOL, another idiotic post from an idiotic person. I will say no more. What an absurd reply. Because I think he is a good keeper that means I love United, yeah, yeah whatever , I will not even reply to you from now on, not worth it. Anyway to the game itself I really hope Lukaku starts. I know he came off the bench last season against United and scored a hattrick in 45 mins but I believe it is time that he gets a chance to start up front. Especially with the possible signing of Rooney, it would be nice to see Lukaku get a start like Torres and Ba have had so far. I hope Cole can neutralize the threat of Valencia as much as possible because that will be United's game plan. Dominate possession, get the ball down that flanks and get it into RVP who only needs one chance. It is quite weird how every time we play United they always dominate most of the first half or first 30 mins and then we come out of our shell and fire back. I hope we put them on the back foot this time as I believe if we can score the first goal, Moyes will have a lot of thinking to do. I also can't see Rooney starting at all. I reckon that is Moyes ploy of 'mind games' back against Mourinho. Feel confident though and reckon we might make a statement this Monday night.
  13. Why don't you shut the hell up with your bullshit? You know nothing and your so called United friend obviously watched United less than me last season. You really don't have a clue and still was not able to answer when challenged on why DDG was included in the team of the year. Tell me what he done that was so bad last year compared to the ratio of saves. Rather than keep posting the same old crap about he is "shit", "crap", etc whatever you want to call him why don't you actually come up with a reasoned argument.
  14. Who would have guessed that we would end up signing Willian then? The way the tables turned
  15. http://www.chelseafc.com/under21s-article/article/3435710/title/under-21s-report-chelsea-5-leicester-city-1 That is 4 in 3 for Brown now. Can see the fuss over him and why he already has made his PL debut. Got 4 in 3 for us in the U21 league so far and plus the numerous amount of goals he scored in pre-season and he is only 16. Skipped past the U18 level and already looks too good for the U21s. Our team for the youth cup is going to look quite menacing with the likes of him, Boga, RLC, Feruz, Musonda...
  16. What a goal! Every time he steps on the pitch you just know he will score or come close
  17. Turns out he was playing for our U21s today.
  18. Whether the source is reliable or not, must be referring to outfield players.
  19. Yeah no Fergie but it will not be "easy". Hopefully we will win. They drew with Swansea for instance 1-1 last season but with Moyes at the helm won 4-1.
  20. OK, so the PFA are "blind fools" because they chose him in the team of the year. Your post shows complete biased. You judged him by his mistakes but you have not actually realised he has made improvements. Similar to Ramires when he came. He struggled and now is one of our key players. Similar to DDG. I hope you can look at some stats of his last season and see why he was voted into the team. I would rather not derail this thread on DDG but when I see posts like yours that state he is "shit" etc I must reply to posts like that. Your opinion yes but it shows a lack of understanding really. He is the undisputed keeper at United now for a reason. Alright, compare his errors last season to his saves and yes you might know people who disagree with his inclusion in team of the year but I am sure most United fans agree that he was excellent last season. Also like I agreed with, you keep pointing out games of DDG over 2 seasons ago. That was when he was vulnerable like I said but since then has pushed on.
  21. That is such an oblivious and biased post. He struggled when he first came to United but to say he is terrible is beyond ridiculous. He was excellent last season and there is a reason why he was named in the PFA team of the season. He has improved by miles and made excellent saves last season. His saves from Mata in the FA Cup game at Old Trafford in the 2-2 game was magnificent and kept them in the tie, (fortunately they lost the replay). He has made brilliant saves and after a shaky start which can be expect of rookie keepers, he is improving and I have read that he was voted United's player of the month more than any player last season which compliments how good he was. I would say Cech is the best keeper in the world, I would not exchange him for anyone as I believe he is fantastic and what he has done for us over the years is unbelievable. But to blab on that De gea is "shit" is wrong on so many levels. You really did not see the amount of times he saved United sometimes. If it was not for DDG, Real Madrid would have won that first leg at the Bernebau last season by about 5 goals.
  22. I was referring to BlueMourinhoKing who made that comment. I partly agree with you but ignore the Villa game, when Mata is out wide right for instance, he will not necessarily stay there. He will roam all about the pitch looking for the ball, dropping into holes and I think Mourinho still sees this in him and once Mata is fully match sharp I believe he would do a good job out there. Like Ozil, he sometimes will start off there but gradually interchange positions within the game.
