Been really awful tonight, must be said. Passing in particular has been poor.
-
WOW. That is a first to me. It is only now that I found he played for and supported Inter.
-
Now that would be taking the piss

Didn't want Falcao at all considering how bad he was at United. Still don't want him now and his invisibility in the Copa America has only reiterated this view. I just don't see this deal being successful. I actually believe if we bring him in at the expense of Remy leaving, that will hinder our title chances. That is how much I am against this deal, especially if it means Remy leaving. Would be a ludicrous peice of business imo.

Really hard to take and it does seem that way but unlike other times, we have been much more lenient because of the years Cech has offered us. He has won everything at us. A major reason we won the UCL was because of him and not only that he did not make much of a fuss playing second fiddle to Courtois last season. That must have been hard for him to take and yes he is a legend here and the fact that he is no longer no.1 at this club obviously indicated he was eventually going to leave. Ideally all of us would of want him here as back up or to move to PSG and ideally himself Cech would have wanted to be no.1 here, not Arsenal and although it may feel like a stab in the back to some of our fans, we have to understand family plays a key part as well. Our club and fans have a spot in his heart but his family are settled in London and children attending school. The only realistic other option was PSG and it would be difficult for Cech to move his whole family and unsettle his children. This move allows him to stay where he is and keep his family, most importantly happy. As much as he loves us, we have to accept sometimes that family comes first. He is a legend for what he has done at us and like I was saying the fact he stayed as back up last season, did not kick up a fuss and when called upon was solid as a rock, can only compliment him for. It is hard yet understandable to see why we have been so passive in letting this deal go ahead.

I was watching the game yesterday. Some are saying he was decent, nothing more. I thought he was excellent. His physical presence, his drive from midfield just reminded me of Yaya Toure at his best. He really improved them along with Ings. He dictaed the play, looked a physical beast and I was overally impressed. I was sitting along with an Arsenal fan watching the game who pointed out that we have a player in our hands there. Biggest player on the pitch but yet the youngest

So Petr Cech first game for Arsenal will be against us in the capital. Going to feel so weird

The reason why I will be angry to lose Remy and bring Falcao in as seocnd striker is because of the different style of play the two offers. Remy's pace, movement, ability to run the channels is always effective and useful to have as a game changer however Falcao is not fast and he seems the type of player to me that needs regular starts to get into form. However I don't see him as a gamechanger because of those aforementioned reasons. He was never fast and he obviously has lost some of his pace and movement that he had before. I just hope we do everything to make Remy stay because he is a real valuable player of the squad who proved his worth last season. Just imagine had he not got injured on the day against QPR. He would have added much more goals to his name.
-
You said to Choulo that our manager thinks the same too. So I replied and said that is not the case. It was like last season with Lukaku. When Drogba was brought in, it was obvious Lukaku was leaving. I just think I have seen enough from Falcao last season to think he will not be a hit at us. I hope I am proved wrong though but I will be very annoyed to lose Remy who offers something much different and will be a miss.
-
Remy has scored goals wherever he has played though. Could he do it at the big clubs? Yes, like he proved last season.
-
Maybe it is the fact that Mourinho wants Remy to stay however Remy has told him he wants to play regular football and in that case that is why Falcao may have been brought in?
-
Come of it. Do you really think Falcao would have had the same impact at us last season like Remy did in his limited appearances or vice-versa, Remy would have scored much more goals for United last season if he was playing. I would take Remy over Falcao 100%. He might of not been the level of Falcao of Atletico, but now that is just an absurd statement. Remy is a quality striker. You have seemed to downplay Remy's qualities because a 37 year old striker was played ahead of him. So does that mean KDB is worse than Oscar who you are not a big fan of because Mourinho chose him over KDB??
-
Apart from Petre, I have not seen one person saying he did alright. I cannot see how anyone think he done good. Guitterez, Falcao's strike partner was much better. Constantly linking up play and causing problems. As BBC put in the best words, he was a peripheral figure for majority of the game. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33085574

Another unconvincing game. His movement has looked more sharp but apart from that been poor again imo. No surprise he has been subbed off.

Well I genuinely believe Arsenal will pose a serious threat next season compared to others. Even last seaosn I did not take their threat seriously but I just have a feeling that they are going to get stronger. Wenger just made some silly errors at the start of last season by not getting another CB when he had the chance and not looking at the DM department, For instance when they lost 2-0 away to Southampton they had Chambers and Coquelin who had just returned from loan in DM. However whent hey got their best players back and Coquelin earned his place in the team, they were very efficient. They improved in the big games as well. Beating City away from home. Next season we will see but I certainly think they are going to provide a serious threat next season. They have excellent squad depth as well.
-
You have to take them seriously. When they got their best players back and Coquelin moved into the team, they had excellent second season form and were up there in the top form in Europe with Lazio. They don't look like they are losing anyone and with a couple quality additions they will be a big challenger. I really think people are underestimating Arsenal.
-
Sterling is better than Ferrera-Carrasco. Ferrera-Carrasco will be 22 in a few months anyway and while I like him, you can not seriously tell me he is better than Sterling. Even though Sterling is younger, he still has scored much more goals. While Sterling was contributing to Liverpool's title charge in the 13/14 season, Ferrera-Carrasco was in and out of the team for Monaco and sometimes an unused sub. Not even comparable.
-
He needs to work on his finishing but the way people go on is like his goal scoring stats are like Willian. He has got into double figures two seasons running. Although it is acknowledged he needs to work on his finishing, have some of us really forgotten that some of his goals for Liverpool have been of top class. His goal against us this season was fantastic. Same against Bournemouth, Newcastle and his goals this season against West Ham home and away were fantastic goals. And the thing is he is only 20, yes 20. Just look how good he was season before the one just finished when he was constantly playing with Suarez and Sturridge. He was outstanding and got 9 league goals despite only getting into the team, late December. That is an excellent achievement to do at the age of 19. That shows to me that when he is surrounded by better players you will see his best qualities. I already mentioned the quality goals he scored last season. What about the season when he was playing with Suarez. That 30 yard strike against Norwich away. The left footed volley which he struck at an awkward angle against Norwich at home in their 5-1 victory. Liverpool 3-2 City. The composure he had to dummy Kompany then stroke it past Hart. They were all fantastic goals. If people don't remember them then search it up because some people act like he is not capable of finishing with excellent quality. He also proved how much of a big game player he is when it counts. He had MOTM performances against City and Arsenal and everytime he has played us has given our defence tons of problems. But with Suarez leaving and Sturridge having recurring injuries, it is normal for his performances to be inconsistent. But as showed in his real breakout season, when he is around players with similar and better quality you will see the best of him. His rise to being in Liverpool's first team and England's at such a young age has raised our expectations of him which is understandable however, like I said we really need to remember that he is just 20 years old and is one of the best talents if not the best talent of his age group. He will turn out into a top, top player. On a sidenote it is amazing to see what he has achieved so quickly. I don't just mean in as where he is in right now but I remember seeing this kid play from the age of 13 in secondary school with Reece Mitchell who plays for us and he was fantastic. The ironic thing is many people from the school or who played locally in Brent would tell you there was not much difference between Reece Mitchell and Raheem however Sterling has completely made it whilst unfortunately Mitchell has struggled with injuries but is still with us but will probably be released this summer if not next one. Then, no one knew of him but he was fantastic to watch and I remember people asking about him and we were just told he plays for QPR. It was only a few months later that he was playing in the victory shield for England U16 live on T.V. Especially like me, him being a Jamaican and from a very tough area, I am proud of him. Never seen a story like his where I can say I knew someone from a personal level who has reached those heights in such a short space of time. He is really a story of rags to riches. I would love it if he came to us. He is tru

Highly doubt it. If Arsenal make their interest in Cech firm with a formal bid, Szczesny will rather move to a mid-table club than us. Especially with the Euros coming next year and Poland look on course, he will definitely just want to play. So even if we did ask for him, I doubt Szczesny will be willing to make the move on that behalf. Would not even be surprised to see him at Southampton for cover for Forster whilst he is out injured.
-
I doubt Szczesny will move from one club as back up to another club to be back up. Furthermore it is in our hands to play hardball with them.
-
Was a handful all game and got a deserved goal. Only 25 as well.
-
Did he even touch the ball today? Yes Colombia were poor but that is no excuse for being non-existent for the whole game. It was the same at United. He just failed to make those runs or make those movement he is known for. I just don't really have any faith in him being a success here.
-
Whatever happens we cannot lose Remy instead of Falcao. The Falcao of Porto/Atletico would make a goal out of anything. Now, he is almost invisible every game I see him.
-
It wouldn't make sense if he wants to move now imo. He already signed knowing he would be back up to Costa when he had loads of clubs wanting him last summer to be no.1 striker for them but he chose to come to us. Maybe he would of envisaged more starts but either way he contributed with goals in all competitions and knows Costa has injury problems and will definitely see game time. He may not like it but can see him staring out wide next season too. He will be a valuable member. I hope he has no intention of leaving.
