Another player that Mourinho completely ignored for no reason. We had the best LB in our squad but Mou insisted to play Azipilicueta out of position so he can play Ivanovic at RB. We all know how well that worked out this season. And if we just kept him we wouldn't had to overpay for a 21 year old unproven guy from a german midtable club.

Sorry for late reply, very much to do currently. Yeah, like you stated, it's obvious that Courtois is more talented that Begovic and hopefully he will stay with us for many years like Cech did. But I just don't like it when players can't be touched even when underperforming. Look at some our players (for example the guy in my avatar) after September 2010, when they played very bad for months and rested on their laurels but Ancelotti didn't rotate them which ended in a catastrophic season. So I think we should give Begovic some games, so that Courtois starts to realise that he has to deliver in order to start.

He owes that to the fans after that many spiritless performances this season. I hope someone from the club will observe and control his eating habits over the summer. Can't be real that a professional player comes to every pre season with a big belly.

If he continues to play like this I wouldn't be against him staying here. I think with Costa, Traore and Pato (if we play with one striker next season and Remy leaves) we have a good set of strikers with different qualities.

I think Begovic shouldn't be our permanent number 1, but he definetely deserves some games. It's not like Courtois didn't make any mistakes and Begovic wasn't too bad when he actually played, was he?

He still should show respect to his teammates given that he wasn't really better than them this season. I doubt you would tolerate it when Cahill would say : ,, I hope we get a new goalkeeper because the current one can't defend his near post to save his life". Talk about double standards. I hope Thibo stops with this behaviour, because it would be a real shame to ship out a real LEGEND like Cech for an idiot that pushes for a transfer to spain two years after the club gave him a free card for our starting XI.

He had his bad games in autumn 2011, but he wasn't as bad as Courtois (whom i rate highly btw) is now and didn't concede ridiculous goals every game. I can remember Cech had really good games at Valencia for example or kept on playing 70 minutes against Blackburn with a broken nose. It's almost five years ago so I went back to the thread and many praised him for being the only consistent player under AVB.

Yes but Cech didn't go to the press to badmouth our defensive line when our defense wasn't any better in 2011/12. And in comparison to Courtois, Petr still performed at a world class level despite having the likes of Luiz and Bosingwa in front of him.

Benayoun looks like a world beater next to him.

Please stop the excuses and just bench him. He embarrasses himself week after week. When Begovic was our GK he also conceded goals, but that was more due our weak defensive lines. Asmir still made good saves unlike Thibaut who is very error prone currently.

And still he would affect the atmosphere of our club with his attitude in a bad way. I personally had enough of the media sagas when Mourinho was in charge. What we now need is a couple of calm years where we can rebuild the squad and hopefully the club as a whole.

I would rather sign a young striker like Dybala. I really don't like Ibrahimovic, he is similar to Mourinho and likes to speak garbage to the press.

This guy is just completely useless for a whole year. I was a big fan of him in 2014, but in 2015 his limits and weaknesses (weak right foot, one dimensional, bad stamina for a cm etc.) got exposed. Sometimes it seems like he doesn't even care anymore. Don't understand why RLC isn't ahead of him in the pecking order he can't be worse than Nemanja. If we are able to get a very good dm I wouldn't be totally against the idea to sell him to say the least.

His constant backing off gives me headaches since 2012.
