I hope he stays and the news are not true, as in hindsight it would have been a massive mistake to get rid of a club legend in favour of someone who isn't comitted to this club at all.

If anything we should have gone for Gotze last summer, who is superior to James. But in truth both of them don't fit our current system at all, because we need a workhorse on the wing, like Alexis Sanchez.
-
Would have him much rather here than James Rodriguez. PL-proven, better workrate, scores more goals and in comparison to Rodriguez he would fit our system as he is actually a winger.

Enjoy the meltdown.

We have Christensen to come back next summer, I don't think we need to buy another young CB. Zouma will hopefully play himself back in the starting XI soon to play alongside Luiz and Azipilicueta, so our defence is settled in my opinion.

Up to this point it´s not really his season. One year ago he was by far our best player, which didn´t mean much that time, but still showed he was in decent form. Today he was the worst player on the pitch again, his mistook passes drove me crazy. It didn´t surprise me at all that our general play got much better when Fabregas came on for him, as the Spaniard is in much better form currently. I know tragedies off the pitch distracted Willian so far this season, which is understandable, but he was always a very inconsistent player. I think the competition with Pedro for our RW spot might spur him to better performances from now on. Next summer we can look if someone of real quality is available to replace Pedro/Willian. I mean our RW isn´t our highest priority, as both players are decent, but we still can do better. With Conte as manager and a good season finish we should be able to acquire star players again like som years ago.

As our quality of performances has gone down a little bit, we still dominate games or aren't even in danger of conceding a goal or two. Now we have to sit back and look what City and Arsenal do tomorrow. I think a draw would do us nicely, as we would be 8 points clear on both of them.

No suprise that Conte left Cesc on the bench as Palace is a physical side and he doesn't want our midfield to be overrun.

Thanks a lot!

We need more good passing in the final third, our passing accuracy is far from title contender standards today. But I am confident that Conte finds the right words at halftime to motivate them again.

Stones is a poor man's Cahill. So glad that we didn't get him last year, he is just completely out of place.

Unfortunately no one from the staff seems to care about this problem, altough tapatalk-integration would mean a much more lively and active forum.

Loved how he celebrated and kissed the badge in front of our fans.

From Bluemoon. The first statement is a disgrace. Makes it even sweeter to win against this lot.

Ok, thanks! I must correct myself, both Chalobah and Fabregas were booked, it was a really messi fight in the last few minutes so I overlooked that. Sorry.
-
Straight red for Fernandinho and no bookings for us.
-
They are so mad hahahhaha
-
Alonso has been very poor too.

Imperious performance. Today he won everything against Negredo, hope he carries on like that. Best defender in the league by a huge margin currently.

Please fix tapatalk.. Many members like myself for example would participate much more in the discussions on this forum.

He needs the right manager to really show his class. He never thrived under Mourinho, but he was head and shoulders above every other defender in the Premier League under Benitez, especially in the last three months of the 2012/13 season. Then under Mourinho he lost his self confidence a little bit, he couldn't really play his game with all these instructions. Now under Conte it seems he got that hunger back, which shows in his late performances.

I said in the summer that Eden needs a coach who tells him to be more decisive in the final third, because we all know he has all the tools to score goals from everywhere. It seems like Conte is the right manager for him. Hazard isn't as shy when it comes to shooting as under Mourinho, not to mention that he can concentrate on playing as an attacker like he should do. This is what I really like about the 3-4-3 system- our wingers get protected by two workhorses who are also capable of scoring goals and creating chances, so there is much more fluidity in our game in comparison to the last few years. Hazard and Costa are starting to link-up much better than in the last two years, which is really helpful against defensive teams. I have always thought they don't really like to pass to eachother but this also seems to have changed.

If Jose made the players play a level above what they are capable of, I wonder on which level they are now. I am so glad that we got Conte this summer.

Unbelievable player. What a beast.
