Are Olympia / Earls Court still viable? I know they are due for demolition but not sure if the site is available yet.

Rofl... Who has these almighty expectations? Im expecting City to win the league, they have the best squad. But we, we have a wonderful bunch of talent at a young age which needs nurturing and moulding. I'd be more than happy with a top three finish, a cup win and a quarter final in the CL. This team is one for the future not next season!!!

With regards to your youth team comments, couldn't you argue that other clubs actually give them first team opportunities? Against the poorer teams / league cup we should be playing them, never going to develope without first team opportunities.

Little harsh better than average but way way over priced.

Last year? Drogba was pants, yes he baged in some vital goals towards the end of the season but in the league he was poor. Oh, snap, so was Torres, perhaps it was because the service was poor, he was rotated and the team struggled. Cavani great player that he is was the focal point I a very attack minded Napoli, comes as no great surprise that he managed to bag a hat full of goals.

Personally think he I doing a great job, since his appointment out transfer policy has shifted from established stars to youth prospects. They have drastically cut the average age of the squad (expect it to drop more when Paulo, Benayoun and Malouda leave), and along with them the huge wages. Leaves us in a good position for the coming years and FFP. I hope they pursue this policy and provide these youngsters with the opportunity (yes first team) to flourish. We have invested tens of milliins in facilities, coaches and players, it's about time we started to show some faith in our youth. -

Have to agree with that, Roman has gotten over his kid in the sweetly shop period (can't blame him) and is now investing in quality players under the age of 24. Our future is looking very very promising.

No disrespect but I went to those games, all of them. We were by far and away the best team in the league an he was our main striker. Nando was in a team struggling for form, suffering management changes and rotating with a second striker. Not sure it's a fair comparison, Drogba missed so many chances, in that particular game I remember the collective groan as he was one on one for the third time in the match. Ps - Drogba also had a few very poor seasons for us... class is permenant, Nando has it, I've faith in the club coaches and RDM, they know what they are doing.

For the money Shaktar are asking we would be better off bidding for Lucas Moura... Younger with bags off potential. Clubs are asking silly money for players these days.
-
Guys done a great job so far.... Frank Arnesen was useless!!!
-
Nahh I'll go Spain, hard to beat them if you dont have the ball.
-
Honestly believe Lucas is going to be an outstanding player. Is he first team material now? I'm not so sure, but United, unlike us would give him those opportunities. If his end product improves he is going to slip into that class of player that I would pay just to watch play on his own.
-
Live in Liverpool or move to New York.... I know what I'd do.
-
If this is what you choose to believe then that's fine. I'd argue that players only move to these places at the end of thier careers, and not neccessarily all of them. Don't see many genuine world class players going to china for the big bucks during the height of thier careers.

If and it's a big IF we bought Cavani we would have to sell Torres. He won't play second fiddle again and I'm sure his £175k a week wages are something the club would be looking to off load for a bench warmer. "In Nando I trust", think he Sturridge and Lukaka are good enough to cover the one striker spot in our squad.

This lad reminds me of Ronaldo (actually think he is a better dribbler) pre united. Lots of amazing skill but very little end product. Having said that I'd bite your arm off for him. Fast, low centre of gravity, not easy to knock of the ball and skill to burn. If you could develope his end product think you would have a CR7.2 on your hands.

Not sure I agree, the location, climate and success of the club would play a major roll in any decision. If it was all about the wedge everyone one be playing in China or the middle east!
-
This is a done deal, but it makes sense for us not to sign until after the Olympics. Can you imagine if he broke his leg and was out for 9 months? It's just good practice to wait till he is available to train and play for us.
-
You realize people can develope friendships with ppl whilst working together don't you?
-
Why is it that when ever Chelsea come a calling clubs add 10-15 million to a players fee. Podolski was half the reported 30 million price!!! Just look at the Modric farce, RM won't spend more than £27 million yet we were offering 40!! I'm glad we are starting to tell clubs where to go.
-
Do you remember Drogbas first season at Chelsea? I do, I remember him being through on goal three times in one match and missing all three. Look how that turned out for us. I'm backing Nando because of his ability, ability he displayed for the best part of a decade with Athletico and Liverpool. And I'm backing our youth because they deserve the chance to actually play a few games and develope.
-
Don't be a donut, Mata performs at the highest lvl of club football, Oscar though talented plays in an inferior league. It's not a fair assessment.
-
WOW!! Stop buying into the media BS. If you believe everything there saying we have bid for at least a dozen players this summer. I mean at the moment media are reporting: £35 million fr Cavani £27 million willian £25 million for Oscar £7 million for Cesar Last week it was £35 million for Modric £38 million for Hulk £6 million for Maicon £20 million for Schurle It's crap, it's crap designed to sell rag papers.
