  1. Thanks I could t have done it without the help of folks like you...
  2. Reps? What are you twelve? I asked the question because you appear to know an awful lot about everything.
  3. I have.... No disrespect but just how many football matches do you watch? Because you appear to be an expert on all the major european leagues oh and Brazil.
  4. You mention a winger but talk of signing Cavani and Falco. Which would cost a chunk of change and leave us in the same position as last year; no way Torres would want to stay to play second fiddle. So in effect we would need two strikers. Great, only problem is this is real life not FM. Sign a winger, sign Navas but don't sign a winger then say he can play as a CF. Nonody knows I hulk could step up as a genuine CF and yet another attacking midfielder is just over kill. Well that's my logic anyways.
  5. Arse!!! I can't think of any viable locations. Anywhere else in Hammersmith?
  6. Guys you've suggested would cost us 70-80 million over five years (with wages), would also mean Torres would have to leave (he won't stay to be scond choice) so we would still be short up front. This guy would cost half that, is younger and would probably (can't say for sure) be happier to play second fiddle to Torres. Don't see the logic in buying those you've mentioned.
  7. If the price is right I'd be happy with him. Cavani would be too expensive and would leave us with a similitude problem to last year. Get the feeling he would be willing to wait for games. Hate this hulk can play as a striker crap, guy plays out wide, he is not a CF.
  8. Funny, he started out as a RW, still don't let facts ruin a valid argument.
  9. I agree, we need a player who is willing to step in when needed. Buying Cavani of Falco simply means we would have to sell Torres, as he won't want to stay. Which is going to leave us short up front still. Advantage to the guys you have mentioned is age, think there 22-23 right? Cost (less) and less of an expectation to start every game.
  10. The bids for Willian means this is dead, not sure we are spending £40 on this guy whilst also buying Moses and an additional RB. It's a shame, but I'm more than happy with what the board have done this summer.
  11. Are Olympia / Earls Court still viable? I know they are due for demolition but not sure if the site is available yet.
  12. Rofl... Who has these almighty expectations? Im expecting City to win the league, they have the best squad. But we, we have a wonderful bunch of talent at a young age which needs nurturing and moulding. I'd be more than happy with a top three finish, a cup win and a quarter final in the CL. This team is one for the future not next season!!!
  13. With regards to your youth team comments, couldn't you argue that other clubs actually give them first team opportunities? Against the poorer teams / league cup we should be playing them, never going to develope without first team opportunities.
  14. Little harsh better than average but way way over priced.
  15. Last year? Drogba was pants, yes he baged in some vital goals towards the end of the season but in the league he was poor. Oh, snap, so was Torres, perhaps it was because the service was poor, he was rotated and the team struggled. Cavani great player that he is was the focal point I a very attack minded Napoli, comes as no great surprise that he managed to bag a hat full of goals.
  16. Personally think he I doing a great job, since his appointment out transfer policy has shifted from established stars to youth prospects. They have drastically cut the average age of the squad (expect it to drop more when Paulo, Benayoun and Malouda leave), and along with them the huge wages. Leaves us in a good position for the coming years and FFP. I hope they pursue this policy and provide these youngsters with the opportunity (yes first team) to flourish. We have invested tens of milliins in facilities, coaches and players, it's about time we started to show some faith in our youth.

  18. Have to agree with that, Roman has gotten over his kid in the sweetly shop period (can't blame him) and is now investing in quality players under the age of 24. Our future is looking very very promising.
  19. No disrespect but I went to those games, all of them. We were by far and away the best team in the league an he was our main striker. Nando was in a team struggling for form, suffering management changes and rotating with a second striker. Not sure it's a fair comparison, Drogba missed so many chances, in that particular game I remember the collective groan as he was one on one for the third time in the match. Ps - Drogba also had a few very poor seasons for us... class is permenant, Nando has it, I've faith in the club coaches and RDM, they know what they are doing.
  20. For the money Shaktar are asking we would be better off bidding for Lucas Moura... Younger with bags off potential. Clubs are asking silly money for players these days.
  21. Guys done a great job so far.... Frank Arnesen was useless!!!
  22. Nahh I'll go Spain, hard to beat them if you dont have the ball.
  23. Honestly believe Lucas is going to be an outstanding player. Is he first team material now? I'm not so sure, but United, unlike us would give him those opportunities. If his end product improves he is going to slip into that class of player that I would pay just to watch play on his own.
  24. Live in Liverpool or move to New York.... I know what I'd do.
