Can someone elaborate on this pathetic and immature reply/personal attack/whatever he's been doing all day to Skunk and now myself?
-
Yeah, but at what point was that even being discussed before you brought it up? No one was or is having a debate over work-rate. You're nit-picking out little bits to try and start arguments in yet another thread.
-
And Ramires helps our team and does the 'dirty work' more than Iniesta does at Barcelona. What's your point? You keep insulting people and people's posts. If you can't comprehend or accept something as fact or opinion there's nothing I can do about that. It's not random though. Saying that Coutinho is better because I prefer his hair is random. You bringing up the distance they travel is random, for example. What? Schelotto, Palacio, Kovacic, Alvarez and Cassano have all been rotating in that position (Cassano less-so than the others) this season. That is full of competition. Should I now call your post shit?
-
The amount of distance you cover has nothing to do with whether you're good or not. If that were the case, Ramires >>> Zidane. I presented the stats which are often used to reflect an attacking-midfielder's abilities.

In 10 Premier League games, he's directly contributed to 6 goals. I'm impressed by that considering he's 20 and it's his first season in the league. Just because you don't agree with something doesn't mean it has no merit or substance. I'm not arguing, and I specifically said that there's other ways to judge other than stats at the end. Most people on here like to go by stats, so I presented them stats. Stats often go someway towards showing how good/bad a player is. You know, how you were using stats in the Neymar thread? Not much better. But we're not comparing how they both did in their 1st seasons in a top league or anything. The debate was simply "Who is currently better".

No I haven't. I'm not talking about today's game Kalou has scored a couple 'wundergoals'. Should Hazard 'come back' once he's got the same amount? IRONIC.

Hate to interject, but during his time here (including Europe) Oscar has played 19 games in the middle in his preferred position. Granted, not all those games were him playing as a starter, but Coutinho has been coming off the bench too.. and even playing out wide like Oscar has. If we take Europe out of the equation, Oscar has played (and started I believe) 11 times through the centre in the Premier League - 8 more than Coutinho (3) has. Oscar (30) has played 3 times the amount of Premier League games that Coutinho (10) has. They've both played around the same amount percentage-wise of games through the centre as opposed to other positions on the pitch. Coutinho has played as second-striker 5 times, left-attacking-midfielder 2 times and through the middle only 3 times. Yet with him being swapped around positions so much it can still be argued that in his short time here, Coutinho has impressed more than Oscar. This seems to show that Coutinho is more versatile than Oscar. Oscar has 2 goals in 30 Premier League appearances, while Coutinho has 2 goals in 10 Premier League appearances. Oscar has 4 assists in 30 Premier League appearances. Coutinho has 4 assists in 10 Premier League appearances. Oscar has contributed with some "wundergoals" and some welcomed pressing of the opposition which is admirable from a player in his position, but he's really offered little else. He averages under 2 shots a game, where-as Coutinho averages just over 2 shots a game. In conclusion, it would seem that if we go by stats, Coutinho is currently equal to if not better than Oscar at club level. If we simply go by what we see, it's all wide open for debate since everyone's perception is different.

I think he'll be the next Jo.

I HEARD A RUMOUR THAT STURRIDGE USED DROGBA'S CELEBRATION TODAY. IF HE DID SOMEONE SLAP HIM.
-
I believe around 11 (I think that's it) are penalties though, meaning that's only 15 league goals from open-play - the same amount of goals 19-year old Lukaku has in a much harder league.
-
Kalou scored twice last night vs. a full strength side. Falcao just scored against a mix of Madrid's 1st/2nd/3rd team from an offside position. Needs to do more to convince me.

Read this. 2 months old and it's about a possible transfer to City/Liverpool but it's worth a read: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/alexis-sanchez-transfer-manchester-city-1736673

If we don't win I'll be furious and probably punch the first child I see.
-
IF he gets loaned out again (just forget whether we think he's ready or not for our squad) and IF Watford do get promoted, do we want him staying at Watford for another season so he can make that position his own in the Premier League? Or do we want him in a new team with a different style who'll likely give him a different role, thus expanding the possibilities for when he eventually ends up here?
-
fuck sake that was close

Tbh even if this ends a draw it's still a fine result for us. Doubt many of us would have predicted much else than a Tottenham win before the game.
-
Predictable.

I hate Di Santo.

I've always secretly wished Dawson was our player. He's more our level, Cahill is more Totty's level.
-
If Wigan win I think it'll be yet more Europa League action for Spuds next season assuming we win vs. the Sheep Shaggers
-
FINALLY! What a delightful goal. Despite his missed opportunities earlier he's really composed. 1 more goal and he'll be 5th-joint highest scorer in the league with Ba and Benteke.
-
He's good enough to be a back-up option here for sure. In his short time at Blackburn he's already been hailed as one of the league's best right-backs which is not easy at all considering how defensively-sound lots of Championship teams tend to be. He's also quite decent at playing in midfield and even on the wing. (Much better than Bertrand anyway!) I doubt we'll ever see him play for our senior team regularly unfortunately but I'd love it if we do. He's Chelsea through-and-through and one of our more genuine talents.
-
Just checked out some stats and Watford have the best goal difference in the league I had no idea. I understand Cardiff City have run away with the Championship but I'm adamant that Zola deserves Manager Of The Year down there.

If he's fine about leaving us permanently already despite not proving himself in Europe yet and only actually properly being with the club for 1-year (and we did the very best thing for him by sending him out on loan) then I say good riddance. I know the majority on here love De Bruyne and think he's the best thing since sliced bread, and yes, I'll concede that he's very talented, but any player who doesn't care whether they play for Chelsea or not or is willing to leave so soon should have the door held wide open for them in my opinion. I know that's not an opinion which will be shared by many, but that's just my view regarding this situation if the rumours are indeed true. He'd have a better chance at Dortmund, I have no doubt about that, but I do not care if they have louder fans and cheaper resources - We have smarter (from what I gather) fans from all over the world from every different nation and the best resources football can buy. We are a bigger club than Dortmund, and the fact that they've just let go of Gotze (yes I know he had a clause) and seemingly Lewandowski too shows that they're a German Arsenal punching above their weight.
