Guarantee Nathan Ake would be a regular for the senior Feyenoord team by now had he stayed in Holland. Really hope we don't fuck him up.
-
He seems to be in Tendido Cuatro (restaurant) every other week. I need to start going once I move and see if I can get a signed shrimp or plate of paella from him . Apparently he goes here for most family celebrations or after big wins. 3 weeks ago:

Did... did this presenter just say Ake is a... deputy in the youth team? R U MAD?
-
This 1 youth game has attracted the same average attendance of a Wigan Premier League game :blue scalf:
-
Chelsea: Beeney; Aina, Davey, Ake, Wright; Loftus-Cheek, Baker ©, Colkett, Kiwomya, Boga, Feruz. Subs: Killip, Dabo, Conroy, C. Musonda (!!!!!), Swift.

If he can get back to that form he was in vs. Newcastle United/Manchester City (I think?) and sustain that I firmly believe we don't need to buy a new defensive midfielder. His understanding of the game is incredible. He's the most intelligent DM I can think of in the league from what I've seen of him.

I miss him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abKiETRRcJE

If De Bruyne joins Dortmund on a permanent deal and thus costs us the Schurrle deal I will buy his Dortmund top and burn it. I'm slowly becoming less keen on Schurrle anyhow, but I don't want to end up with neither of them.
-
The topic isn't - "Who are the 2 most realistic options to join us from Real Madrid?". The topic is about personal preferences if we could choose which 2 players we'd have join us with the exclusion of Ronaldo & Casillas :banghead: Of course Alonso wouldn't play for us given his Liverpool ties and of course the club wouldn't go for him due to his age; just like of course Real Madrid wouldn't give up Varane when they don't need the money and he's part of their future

I actually care more about winning the Supercup than the EL. I really, really want to win the Supercup since so few clubs will actually ever have it amongst their trophy collection. I know it'll be odds against us to win both the Europa League and Supercup, but I hope we can do it.

Wow, look at how many words he bolds in his new blog! Clearly attention seeking http://blogs.grada360.com/juanmata/en/2013/04/29/los-anos-pasan-volando/

I know it's unlikely, but if Newcastle really trip up now and Aston Villa overtake them, thus sending Newcastle into relegation, they have a plethora of players we could really use and probably get on the cheap. Cabaye as our new playmaker (Which'd make me cream myself), Sissoko/Tiote to be a back-up option for defensive midfield, Santon (can play left and right side of defence; good squad player and also had success under Mourinho who may be coming back), Ben Arfa (could be handy for the right side; a more flair-version of Moses who can also play behind the striker), even Coloccini or Mbiwa
-
Is he even a playmaker? From what I see, although he's a good passer, he's much more like a robust, slower, more decisive Ramires. He's constantly running backwards and forward in pretty much a straight line, winning the ball and also playing neat passes; but I've never seen him as a player who dictates play.
-
Xabi Alonso + Varane. X. Alonso is picked simply because he's the best playmaker I've ever seen. He may not have the best passing in history, but the fact that he can pass at such a high level and tackle & intercept so well is a mouth-watering prospect. Varane is picked to eventually replace Terry and partner Luiz. I see him as one of the best in the world one day.

I got choked up seeing him today. I'm sad that I'm too young to have seen him play live, but highlights and clips (the very few ones that I can find ) make me feel that had I seen more of him, he'd always pop up rather quickly in my head when asked - "Who are your favourite footballers of all time?". I always feel odd (again, sad for some reason) when I watch interviews etc. from him nowadays, maybe because in the back of my mind I feel he doesn't have much time left, but he's a player who has and always will define Chelsea. Here are some pictures of him from the Swansea City game, both during half-time and after the final whistle:
-
Sell Torres. Sign Remy. Boom.
-
Here he is watching the game:
-
Luiz has been better than Ferdinand IMO, as have Kompany (just), Nastasic and a scattering of defenders from 'smaller' teams.
-
Just go all out vs. Tottenham and try win. Then do anything for the wins vs. Villa & Everton, even if it means diving for a penalty or whatever. Do that and we shall be safe.
-
Does Van Persie suddenly have grey hair?
-
What about Diego Alves!?
-
Luiz has complete the most tackles on the pitch and the 2nd most complete dribbles behind Hazard. That's impressive
-
I'd bring on Marin for someone now. No idea who. Just feel like we need more pace since Swansea are starting to look tired. Should exploit that.
-
WE SHOULD SIGN JULIO CESAR AS BACK UP. Or Chris Samba. Or Diakiti. Or Taarabt (think about it... against the small teams he'd be a good back up option. Unless of course his ego poisoned the club.) Or Remy (!!!!!). Surely they'll all be leaving now.
-
Really hope we kill this off. It'd almost be heartbreaking to drop points at this stage.
