  1. He was in form. Being in form doesn't mean you're amongst the top players in the world, but means you're at what's typically considered your personal best at that time - which Torres has been recently. Since joining us, it's been rare that we've seen him play at the level he has been in our past few games (this Liverpool game aside). After being in good form, today was dreadful from him. That doesn't mean he's out of form though as he could have the game of his life in our next match. Form is based on a string of performances and isn't a game-to-game analysis to sum up whether a player did well or not on a particular day. He's now in the neutral zone for the most-part (or you could say that today he was off-form, not out-of form), and his next game should reveal to us whether he's again out of form (hopefully not) or if today was just a hiccup in his slight revitalisation which all strikers get. We've known from day one that he's a confidence player; A player who relies on good morale etc, so it should be no surprise that he gets a mental-block which prevents him from performing well when against his old club. I believe the pressure was just too much for him today being back at Anfield (again). I'm sure it'd be a slightly different story had Ba started and Torres come on late on to run circles around Carragher.
  2. The moment he put Benayoun on I exploded. Guts flew all over my room and my brain leaked out of my ears.
  3. Yes you were. You were influenced by which teams get broadcasted in Brazil no doubt, thus you are influenced by those at TV Networks and the likes; where-as I was born into it. Aren't we like your second team or something? Isn't Palmeiras your first?
  4. Like that one instigating Brazilian on here who encourages the mocking of other members? indeed.
  5. Will I, a 3rd Generation Chelsea supporter, be gone? No, what I assume is a 1st Generation Chelsea supporter, I don't think so.
  6. Finishing 5th can only make us stronger, separate real fans vs. the ones who just like to enjoy the ride when we're winning, and see who really does want to be at the club. It'd (hopefully) create a unity. Much like how Juventus being relegated then promoted has quickly lead to them becoming an incredibly strong unit.
  7. Finishing below 4th or in the top 4 is probably the difference between Pellegrini and Mourinho now.
  8. Cech is a problem. Doesn't mean he has to go, but he is a problem. You know that attack which Liverpool built up at the end, leading to their 2nd goal? Cech had kicked it up to the invisible Drogba, it went out for a throw, then they applied pressure from there. Why can't he just pass it to Luiz and build patiently from the back to wind the clock down I do not know. Why he insists on giving the opposition the ball back every game I do not know (Maybe he's just a nice guy?). Why this hasn't been addressed yet I do not know.
  9. Can this thread just be deleted and burned to ashes?
  10. I bet Suarez and Mike Tyson are best buds
  11. "Carragher is as honest as they come" says the shit commentator. 2 minutes later he lies to try to get a penalty. Good one.
  12. Wow Hazard don't throw the bottle so hard! You could've hurt Eva's soft hands!
  13. This is the quietest I've heard Anfield i think
  14. ffs, stop walking around so casually
  15. I forgot we were playing Bertrand. He's really doing fine filling in for Cole isn't he.
  16. 'Pool fans are far more quiet than normal. Unusual.
  17. Mikel has had the most touches on the pitch. #Respect
  18. The main reason I want Mou here is simply because he gets the best out of players. It's not really to do with sentiment or the fact he was successful here before. He can take players we already have to the next level, thus allowing us to spend our money a bit more wisely when it comes to transfers. My dream is for him to arrive and not bring anyone from Madrid (bare with me). I want him to sign Benat for nothing too costly and partner him in midfield with Romeu who I genuinely believe can be amongst the top 5 DM's in the world under a coach like Mourinho. Create a bit of a Spanish spine. Benat + Romeu in the centre acting like Alonso/Mascherano, with Mata ahead of them and whoever he wants up-top. No need to buy a new DM this way, we get a cheap but top-class playmaker who already plays like Xabi Alonso who is the vital clog in Mou's current Madrid team, and then the rest of our funds can go towards someone like Lew from Dortmund who I believe Mourinho is a fan of and squad players etc. That'd be ideal. Cech; Azpi, Luiz, Terry, Cole; Romeu, Benat; Whoever, Mata, Hazard; Lewandowski Fucking. Jizz. In. My. Pants. That'd be unstoppable under Mourinho. Then we can either have Lukaku still improving out on loan or providing adequate cover to Lew (I'm sure he'd get enough games!) with Ba (or even Torres possibly still) waiting as 3rd-choice should we need them.
  19. We'll do it. I think. I hope. Maybe. If we're lucky. Fuck. Scared. Help.
