  1. Surely it's a midfield double of Ramires - Luiz with Lampard behind Torres with Hazard and Moses out wide? We did similar vs. Kazan did we not?
  2. I'm not fond of the guy but I think Marin would be good for this game but only if Hazard and Mata start also. He seems to only play decent when he's surrounded by good players. I'd personally put him on the right and tell him: "LISTEN UP MOTHERFUCKER. DON'T CUT IN AND SHOOT. THAT IS HAZARD'S JOB ON THE OTHER SIDE. JUST CROSS TO TORRES OR MATA AND LET THEM DO THE REST U LIL BITCH." and have the rest of the players performing their usual duties. I say this because I believe we'll have to play a counter-attacking game tonight and that's what Marin was originally good at when he was at Werder Bremen. He never performed too well when his team had the majority of possession. He likes a quick counter where he can just get the ball into the striker or take a shot himself. I understand we have a big game vs. Swansea City coming up but Hazard and Mata are no slouches; they can handle a congested fixture list. I actually think Hazard plays better the closer games are together. It seems he likes to get the ball rolling with one game and then transmit that to the next game where he turns it up a notch.
  3. Torres didn't have 3 Barcelona defenders chasing after him while playing in a significantly weaker team. Falcao did.
  4. I think he's the most composed striker I've ever seen (I'm only 17 ok). In fact, no, I'm positive he is. I keep replaying his goal against Barcelona and I can't imagine any other striker being able to do what he did there:-
  5. Nice little graphic from WhoScored.
  6. He's like Benzema.. maybe even Inzaghi; He scores goals. It starts and ends at that. That works fantastically in the correct team. I have no idea whether we are that team or not.
  7. The source reporting that Mourinho + Falcao to come here is a 'done deal' is the same source which reported Gotze to Bayern a few days before it was official and reported Pep to Bayern before most people had even had a sniff at that possibility.
  8. Yep. Confirms it. Bundesliga >>> Everything. So what do we think - Jose to get sacked?
  9. Gundogan makes me think of a more agile Ballack with better passing. Mmm.
  10. First player in Champions League history to score a hat-trick vs. Real Madrid? Well..
  11. Imagine De Bruyne in this Dortmund team...
  12. Best striker in the world (if you discount Messi) from the best league in the world as proven this week.
  13. Subotic >>> Luiz >>> Hummels (in general, currently, IMO) For our club - Luiz >>> Hummels >>> Subotic
  14. If Dortmund reach the final it's something incredible for football. You have to admire their club. I believe they have 7 Germans on the field at the moment (unless I'm shit at maths). Good for them. Gotze is a dickhead for leaving though I must add and Lew too if he's pushed the move to Bayern at all. They could have created a dynasty.
  15. I just laughed harder than I should. You bastard
  16. Alonso is the most handsome footballer in the history of football. I envy him.
  17. I actually think he's a better passer than Xavi. Xavi will always complete more passes and make more passes in general, but the amount of accurate long-balls, long-passes, switches of play etc. which Benat often does far surpasses that of Xavi. Only Xabi Alonso has the same range from what I've seen.
  18. This guy is a leader (not Terry-esque, but a leader nonetheless) which is what our defence really needs. Pepe plays better when Ramos is partnered with him at centre-back as opposed to his original right-back position. This makes me feel that either Ramos makes the players around him better, or he does actually have decent leadership and communication qualities. I get the feeling the same would happen with Luiz; a young(er) leader beside him with more stamina and agility than our ageing Terry would probably do him the world of good. Luiz - Ramos would be quite an attack-minded centre-back pairing, but a very scary one for the opposition too. Ramos loves scoring from set-pieces while Luiz loves taking set-pieces (which he seems to be improving at game by game.) Sure, we'd all love a playmaker to be deployed deep, which is why as soon as "Jose will bring a Madrid player with him to Stamford Bridge" popped up almost everyone thought "Modric", but even if that deep position is a concern, I've had fears for a very long time about our defence and Ramos would go a long way to lowering my fears and tightening up our defence-play in general.
  19. Looking at this from a neutral view and pretending he bit someone else not associated with Chelsea, all I've been thinking is the following:- He was found guilty (if I remember correctly) for racial abuse towards Evra. The F.A. are clear that they have NO TOLERANCE towards racism. He's now clearly been found guilty due to undeniable video proof from several angles that he's committed assault on a fellow professional. The F.A. are clear that they have NO TOLERANCE towards abuse & assault. So my question is; If the F.A. have 'No Tolerance' like they claim, why is he just getting a slap on the wrist and a 12-game ban? I assume Liverpool will still pay him his wages throughout that time unless they specifically try and make an example out of him to try and prevent their club's image from falling any further, meaning he'll basically be getting an extended holiday!! After 2 high-profile incidents in this league already and the Premier League clearly slowing down in terms of quality and being quickly caught up by the Bundesliga, surely, as harsh as this may sound, Liverpool should be forced to either sell Suarez to another league or release him from his contract? He is single handedly bringing down the league with; 1: Racism. 2: Assault. 3: His well documented diving. (Oh, and a few deliberate hand-balls along the way.) That would be 'No Tolerance' and prevent other players from doing as he does as it would cut-short their time in the most watched league in world football. As we all know, I guess the F.A. are just a joke, aren't they?
  20. Sanchez is an absolute spitting image of my cousin. Cool fact. (Or a shit fact, rather.)
  21. Alba is now a player I despise more than any other.
