Why would Cavani join a club that won't play in the CL(not even in the EL) and have no coach? He would probably earn less money too. He's 27, i don't think he wait 2-3 years till United get their shit straight.

What if they think they need a change? They didn't have a chance to play a CL-final in the last two years. They were fantastic between 2009-12, but now other teams know how to play against them. Maybe they want some power and dynamism in their team instead of short passing 600 times every minutes.

I don't understand it either.. If the buyout clause exists we don't have to reach an agreement with Atleti, just put the 32M pounds down on the table and negotiate with Costa. No bargaining, no involving Courtois. It's a good price in my opinion.

There is a 35 M pound buyout clause in his contract. Atletico could do whatever they want, if we(or any other team) pays them that fee we can negotiate with Costa. They can try to extend his contract, but if he wants to leave he will be available for 35 M.
