I don't really see that. Forest have invested heavily in their team in the last two summers, so it isn't much of a surprise. Blackpool and Preston with much less financial backing are in play-off positions. Gibson is one of the most loyal guys in football and definitely would have sticked by his man if he thought he was going to bring them up then he's taken an important decision to sack him. Whether that'll be the right one or not we wait to see...

Frank Lampard has never been the quickest starter to a season. The problem is partly positionally, playing at the tip of a diamond means less deep runs, and also means he's much easier to mark and reduce his influence on the game. Partly why Lampard is playing deeper in recent matches, with Malouda often playing at the tip. I have no doubts though he'll score 15+ this season.
