Why 'could'? Article seems pretty certain. He's a very mature player for his age, so i'm not completely surprised by that. There's other more obvious and experienced candidates as BlueLion has listed, but long term Mikel is a player who can take them forward. Pleased for him. Might be CFC captain one day... you never know.

I'd like to keep him here. Belleti is set to depart this summer, and Mancienne's a player who can definitely take up his role. Was very confident in his two right back performances at Upton Park and against Wigan, and hopefully he'll make progress next season here. Centre back wise Bruma is far more talented, but that doesn't mean MM can't become a squaddie here for the next couple of seasons.

Sorry if I don't think we'll beat Liverpool, United and Spurs away. Usually three points from those three games would be good enough... and that's what I predict we'll get. But we'll have to completely exceed all expectations and aim for 5-7 points. If you're very, very optomistic then fair enough. From the stuff I've seen from Chelsea recently I can't say I share the same view. Now, take you and your closet buddies and run along.

Mourinho was manager here for the small period of three seasons, and we all respect him for his acheivements. What i'll say is those singing 'Jose Mourinho' at the start are as bad as those singing 'Fuck off Mourinho' at the end though. Emotions were high, so if you weren't there it's very easy to say omg look what he's done for us, but after seeing his Inter players roll around on the floor, with the referee giving them every single decision, it's fair to say everyone absolutely hated Inter, and it was the only way to vent their frustration at their dirty (sadly effective) tactics.<br><br>But yes, the atmosphere in mhl was one of the worst all season.<br>

Malouda third? Can't help but think you're all being very influenced by his outstanding performance yesterday in that decision. Terry, Ash Cole and Anelka have all been more regular, more consistent and quite frankly better.

Best has been Drogba... Ivanovic and Anelka coming in second and third though.<br>
