And he is much better defender compared to most CBs we have, so when we are being countered, we wouldnt look like a fucking joke every single time.
-
As long as we play Sarriball I think he wont suit us. He is made for counter football with his speed and finishing. But he is very average in link up and hold up which are crucial in Sarriball.
-
Yall realy think about Pool too much. Surely they are rivals and even I want them to lose as many games, but the only thing I care is that we qualify for the CL next year. Spuds losing to Pool gave us much bigger chance to overlap them in top 4 finish, yet many here were dissapointed to see pool win over spuds. You want Pool to lose the title or Chelsea to end in top 4? Only thing connected with Pool I wish for is that we rape them in upcoming match and gain 3points. If it dents their title chances on the way, even sweeter.

Yeah I should word myself better. He has big status at the club and for the fans, but I dont see him being viewed by our current team as legend/idol like Terry or Lamps or Didi would be. He played in completely different football era. Pele is massive legend for example too, but Zidane and similar players hold much bigger status for current generation to learn from.

In all the time I have been watching chelsea, I havent seen a manager so distanced from the players. Sarri is here to do his job and manage the team and there is where it ends for him. He doesnt have fans connection, nor player management. Jose for example surely spoken in portuguese ocassionaly, but he was very connected to most players at the club on personal level. Maybe I said it wrong by pointing out Sarri and Zola language alone, because obviously they talk english to the players when instructing them. But my point should be that their language is definately one of many reasons why they are not as connected to the team. They dont have quality player management and they dont share same culture, its hard to connect with the squad then other than being a part of the job. But in the end, that wont make you a champion. Conte created great spirit (at least for a while), so did Jose or Zidane, Pep, Klopp. Obviously they dont speak in one language all the time, but they have other qualities to connect with players. Sarri and Zola looked cut from the rest of the team on many occassions. For that reason, someone in the middle like Terry would be better suited to connect the team and managing staff, since Sarri definately isnt player manager type. That was my main point, I just worded it wrong. And as for Zola, I agree he was a massive player (I remember him play very briefly, but I have seen many highlights of his games), he is a big legend. I didnt mean he doesnt have a status here. Obviously he is beloved by fans and the club. But what I think is that he doesnt have that power to inspire, motivate or lead the players like Terry, Lamps or Drogba could. Despite he isnt that old, I just dont see him as someone that this new generation of players would appreciate as much as someone like Terry or Zidane at Real. Surely Zola has big status at the club, but I dont see the players giving him that same respect tbh. They know he was good player, but I dont think they would take him as serious inspiration. Times nowdays have changed big time compared to Zola prime. Thats obviously just my opinion, but so far from what we have seen on the pitch, its clear Sarri and Zola are doing bad job in motivating the players, player management, consistency and many other things. The players dont look comfortable. From the starters to the bench. I dont think that Im that wrong with my observation, althrough I wish I was. That said I already mentioned Zola commenting on Odoi and thats the one thing I was realy dissapointed. Zola being club legend and apparently the one to connect with fans went on to talk about CHO but it turned out to be a bunch of shite just to back Sarri. From a club legend you would expect some honesty or club-benefiting thinking, because CHO being massive prospect, you would expect Zola to comment on him in order to "make" Sarri play him more, but it turned out he was just trying to back Sarri comments, while knowing the kid wont play much. Both are full of shit mate.

IMO Terry would have much bigger presence compared to Zola. He just doesnt strike me as someone that can make entire team listen to what he says and then transform that on the pitch. Even at half-times for example. I can imagine Terry shouting to the team, firing them up and considering his status in PL, everyone would appreciate his talks. Zola not so much on the other hand, he doesnt have that motivational power. For example, he looked completely hopeless in that Kepa situation in final. I almost felt sorry for the lad trying to be relevant in that situation and shout at Kepa, but to no good. Also, his comments about CHO were realy bad for his reputation, because now I (and many others) dont believe anything he says. He is just Sarri yes man. Zola was magnificent player for us, but he simply doesnt have that massive status at the club. Terry here is like Zidane at Real, when these legends who won it all talk, everyone listens and tries to be like them. Regarding language, they obviously know English, but they certainly talk in italian about stuff that is more complex because they can easier discuss about it in italian.
-
We probably cant loan them to a new club, but we can loan them back to their current club since they are already registered there. There could be also pre-agreement/pre-contract done. So definately options to "buy" players exist. And on practical level, I think there is a bunch of players who would be ready to spend another season at their current club to develop more and at same time have a guaranteed move to a bigger one next summer. The competition will be huge, but there are quite a few quality players that will be moving soon.
-
One dimensional player and his wife agent trouble aint worth it. Great poacher but thats about it. Real is probably looking for a more versatile and dynamic striker.
-
As much I like Zola, I think we made mistake by appointing him as Sarri assistant. Neither has strong experience with english system. And both being italians, I dont think they can connect with the team. They probably talk italian about certain stuff which definatelyputs non italian speakers in odd situation. IMO it should be Morris in similar role to Holland with Conte. Integration of youth would be also better IMO. But it is what it is. I wish Terry joins the group soon because his presence, passion and knowledge about club is much required. He can also talk to players and share his experiences at club.
-
Thats why he needs to play. Give him the same amount of playtime that Willian or Pedro get and he will be twice the player. People forget he is 18, english and our own academy and that could not only give us a winger for next 10+ years, but a player that will actualy fight for us like Lamps or Terry did unlike Pedro or Willian who had many games when they didnt give a flying fuck about this club. Money doesnt give you trophies. Just look at psg. But passion and desire to defend the crest you are wearing are. And we dont have many players right now that could be described like that. The club has ideal chance to make a generation of blue blood with CHO, RLC, Christensen, James, Ampadu,...maybe others forming core of the team. But I dont think anyone at the club sees long term sadly.
-
There is bigger chance Messi will be starting that game.
-
Emerson and RLC play and we win comfortably and play cool. But wait next game Sarri throws Barkley and Alonso back in and we will play like crap.
-
I like lineup alot. Hopefuly Emerson, Odoi and RLC deliver.
-
We can sign players but we cant register them. At least that was case with Costa and Atletico or Arda and Barca. Technically we could sign Jovic or whoever and keep him in training for entire season but he wouldnt be able to play matches.
-
I think its actualy very possible we sign someone this summer and loan them back for the season.
-
Yeah pretty much. The board would never pay lets say 50m for Bissaka who is actualy great prospect. But they would happily throw 40m on some average lad. As for Reece, next season with ban and current options not good enough (Azpi in decline/not fitting for this system while Zappa is simply not good enough), it would be best chance to get in the team. Same applies for other youngsters too. Rotating for Azpi with around 20 games or something would be great to prepare him slowly for top level. There would always be Azpi who despite not being at best, is reliable option, so no pressure on Reece. BUT knowing this club, I have zero faith this will happen. They will keep on playing Azpi and Zappa. And thats it.
-
Maybe they want manager to play Alonso and other crap hoping to turn good. And if they dont play good, they sack manager since he couldnt make them play well. Because otherwise it would be board fault for signing such shite. Same applies for extending contracts, in case of Alonso. Can you imagine how would board look if they extended Alonso and then he doesnt even get to play because he is so shite, yet the board didnt figure it out sooner? This board has done beyond awful football releated business yet they are never accounted responsible. 1.) Losing De Bruyne 2.) Losing Salah 3.) Signing Drinkwater for 40m 4.) Extending Alonso deal til he is 33 5.) Overall beyond shite transfer deals since 2010 with couple exceptions. Any of these 5 fuckups alone would make anyone fired on spot. Yet the board lives punishment-free and will continue with similar crap. I am believing Pulisic for 60m will be another in the line of "great" board deals. Signed because he is american, but cant get even close to starting 11 of BVB, being injured all the time in the past year and worse of all, he is apparently the player board thinks will be good enough to replace Hazard. Pulisic for Hazard. A kid who did fuck all for best player in the league. Chelsea board, ladies and gentlemen.
-
You are absolutely spot on but I dont remember a manager so clueless as Sarri is. Why didnt we pull that shit with Conte then? Because he actualy had balls to stand up for his demands? Sarri is throwing same shit players on the pitch over and over and over. At this point I dont even care about results anymore. When I see his lineup with Alonso Im already pissed. As is the 90% of Chelsea fans. Some will always say manager is always right. If manager plays Iva, so be it they know what they are doing and we are just stupid fans to say otherwise. But it was obvious Iva was done long before, the managers were wrong. Same is going on with Alonso and I dont believe Sarri knows better than me or any other fan to play him over Emerson. He is just stubborn and plays someone absolutely shite. ANY decent manager would play CHO by now. I cant imagine a club with such ineffective options and still not play young hotshot like CHO. But Sarri keeps on benching him and even downplays him every time he gets the chance. OR chats about one thing and then does something else, like saying CHO is equal to other wingers we have but everyone knows Sarri was full of bs about that and lack of starts prove it. Lastly his comments ala '' I dont care what fans think''. Ok, sure the boos must not get into your head, thats for sure. But to say something like that in interviews? Chelsea manager who doesnt give a shit what Chelsea fans think? He can fuck off for those comments alone. If the board is seriously thinking of giving him some sort of long term chance, then the first step is to get along with Chelsea club, fans and players. And this old fucker says he doesnt even give a shite. If we were in 2005, we would throw this old fart out of the club 5minutes after he says shit like that about the club or the fans. But like I said, this isnt even about the results. He is simply wrong in so many areas on and off the pitch. I dont know if we had a manager so disconnected to the club like this one. How can you plan long term then?
-
Lol Barkley. Our season in a nutshell.
-
If the fucker actualy played RLC, Odoi and Emerson, we wouldnt be behind in first place.

Chelsea banned for TWO transfer windows

Christensen is another one who seems to be unhappy. -
Wise business? I dont think paying 90m for Sancho would be any less wiser compared to paying 60m for Pulisic who is warming bench at bvb. In 6 months, Sancho shown more than Pulisic did in his entire career. Neither is great player and both would be giant risk, but I can understand splashing big money on Sancho who is english and had superb 6 months. On the other hand what did Pulisic do to make our board chunk 60m, apart from being american with big potential to bring huge fanbase. Obviously Pulisic isnt bad player and is actualy decent talent, but he is extremely raw talent, we suck at developing those, so it already makes little sense. And he is never worth 60m either. Its same old story. Pulisic is decent talent but we still forked out huge money. But we will never add 20m more and go for the best talent which makes no sense. Similar story was with Sterling/Stones for who we didnt want to pay 50m, but we did pay 40m on Drinks. Laughable board and I have no doubt Pulisic was bought with idea of getting onto american market, not for being superb player. Because for 60m, even today you either get great player or massive talent and Pulisic is neither. I will support him once he becomes Chelsea player, but honestly I dont have big hopes on him. I dont remember when we had a talented player away on loan that I was this unexcited about coming here.

That video is perfect example of what will never win you games. He stalls on the ball, beats a man and then loses it.
-
But thats the case in almost every big team in europe. And I dont see them implement such policy. Neither are we any more successful because of it. Smart clubs simply dont buy aging Alexis and get rid of Maloudas at the right time, they dont implement stupid over 30 policy. AND if they get a Malouda or Alexis, thats once every couple years, not worthy enough to implement 30+ policy on every single player. Back then when we didnt have this rule, we signed Ballack and Makelele. And we couldnt get rid of Malouda indeed. But Id rather have another Malouda here if that was the price to have Ballack and Makelele. The real problem with this club is that we are buying average players. If we had quality, I dont think anyone would mind 32 year old Terry, Ballack, Makelele, Cole, Lamps here etc. Dont forget that more and more players still plays at high level in their mid 30s because of much better training and nutrition compared to 2000 or 2005. And that will only go up with these kids being professionaly nurtured since they are 16. You cant have a world class squad anyway if you demand every 30+ player to sign a single year extension or they can fuck off. Where is the club loyalty to players there? You just dont extend to shit players, ala Malouda, thats it. Not implement 30+ rule. And if we were so strict to this rule, why the hell did board extend with Alonso till he is 33? 33 mate. Alonso. He is shite at 28 already. This club is simply clueless. What we needed is to get rid of this excuse of a board, not implement 30+ rule. Any competent board doesnt need such rules because they have knowledge and experience to decide themselves.

We will win this one and brighton at home IMO. But after that I dont have much faith in our team. West Ham, Burnley and Watford even at SB can easily surprise us, while we also have United, Pool and Leicester away.
