I like Azpi alot, but he is steadly going in the wrong way. Almost the weakest link in defense bar Alonso on number of ocassions and as a captain he is far from being a great one. No one can blame him for being average going forward, but his defending and captaining have gone down big time. He had some great games, but unlike previous seasons he doesnt look half as secure in defence. And loses his shit so often when we are down, just look his performance vs United. Awful behaviour for a captain. He acted like a rookie, not a seasoned player. What happened yesterday was unbelievable. Zero communication between him, Kepa and Sarri.

Hundreds of times before gk signaled he is ok to continue and the manager put the backup gk back on bench. Sarri just went livid. He even started shouting on Willy to get back the fuck off the bench right before he stormed to the door, who the hell is he to just leave the entire team? And then changes his mind in a second lol and goes back. What was that for? Just to put on a show? I totaly get human emotions but at this level our fricking manager has to be more collected no matter the situation. Because of one player he was about to fuck the entire team? You do that shit behind the doors, bench Kepa etc. What he does at press conference? Excuses that it was misunderstanding which is bs. The entire club lack balls to clear up this situation. If it was tactical, preplaned decision Sarri should know better to inform Kepa about it prior to the game. Kepa doesnt have excuse if he was called to be subbed, he should go, but the level of incompetency from both sides is unreal here. This is top level football and you dont let tactical changes to last minute because tensions are high. And please before calling me delusional read the whole posts I wrote. I blame both Kepa and Sarri for being two kids who cant do the basics of communication.

When we were prepping for penalties, players alienated away from Sarri, while every City player listened to Pep in circle. Also when we lost, Sarri stayed far away and didnt communicate with players much either. At break between ET, Sarri gave Hazard instructions and when they walked away, Eden turned around asking something, but Sarri walked away which left Eden quite furious. One has to wonder what the hell is going behind the scenes because it looks like Sarri is just a puppet. There was zero chemistry on pitch tonight between him and players after regular time. And then after the game everyone is friends again, but thats clearly BS.

Apparently his wife is mad because he still doesnt want to leave the pitch.

You know if they had their shit together behind the scenes, on training ground, etc... this situation would never happen. If those two were friendly prior to match, they wouldnt make such a scene. He almost abandoned the team along with the outburst. I remember Conte and Costa being in similar situation when Costa didnt want to leave the pitch. Conte was pissed but he didnt create the scene. Also where was communiction? Kepa was pointing he is not injured and Sarri/Zola kept shouting something back. Was this sub tactical to bring Willy on or Sarri thought Kepa is not fully fit? Im sure neither had any idea what the other side story was. Thats why I blame all of them for being dicks and hurting this club right before pens.

I blamed both. They both acted like children. Players did too for not sorting it out. They just stood there like dicks and kept patting Kepa instead of dragging him to Sarri to talk like civilized people.

The one player you would think is completely level headed does this kind of shit. Is there a spot in this team that we dont have issues with? Maybe Rudiger and thats it. This is getting better and better.

Even after such good display they manage to fuck it up with drama that will now drag our crisis even further and make it bigger than it is already. A manager doesnt lose cool unless its for the team benefit. Any manager would understand Kepa decision to stay on and continue with game. Sarri got offended and he had to explode just to prove a point and completely destroy the mentality of team. Kepa should leave the pitch if that is manager decision, even if that decision is completely wrong. This shit goes all ways, from manager to players being absolute turds instead of benefiting the club. Also where the fuck was comunication? Where was our captain in this situation?

If GK isnt injured you dont sub him. Kepa isnt injured. Not sure why Sarri started bitching about. I mean surely if he wants sub, player has to go, but he shouldnt call for sub in first place.

Our players love to post all kind of crap on instagram/twitter/... but when we lose they all go into hiding for couple days. Seeing other teams captains or key players, they always bring positive messages to fans evem after losses. It goes to show how weak mentality our players have.

Whatever this board is going to do, you just kno they will fuck up. Either we will sell him and he will develop in quality player, or we will keep him and bench him until he is too old.

Neves is good player but again someone who isnt quick. I want more dynamic in our midfield if we ever decide to sell Jorginho. Ndombele and Aouar any day. Then we would have 3 french midfielders with great chemistry, good work rate, dynamic and techique. Ndombele and Kante could cover up for each other well, while Aouar being in advanced position.

I think Telles and Grimaldo are too lightweight for PL. Chilwell, Firpo and Mendy should be our main targets.

Saying Sarri has better win percentage compared to Guardiola is like saying we had 70% possession but still lost. Its a nice stat that means nothing. Results are one thing, the way he handles youth, doesnt rotate, has no tactical approach and is very predictable is something else. Im all for long term coach, but Sarri (unlike some previous managers we sacked in past) is showing that not only results but the way he is managing is not the best. And thats a bummer. At the end of the day, even if he manages us to play Pep style barca; take a look how long ago that was working and also take a look how many times Pep got completely destroyed or tacticaly outplayed in europe since he left barca. Zidane's real and Klopps pool are successful because they know tactics, when to attack and when to defend. Just playing offense doesnt win you trophies. It might make you flat track bully but any solid team will spank your ass nowdays. We always play possession football. We would won at least a couple more if we surprised the opponent and played on counter. This team is very capable of counter football and if Sarri had any tactical ability, he would teach us the possession football and then play either that or counter football, depending on opponent.

Completely agree on this. Though limited resources or not, Id say they are way more ambitious than us. They provide Simeone more suitable players than we do to our managers. They had star player in Griezmann, but went on to bring Lemar for big bucks who is touted as big talent. Not to forget Gelson Martins who was massive talent too. We havent bought winger of real quality since Hazard.
