  1. You know, Mou told Sterling to push for a move and he is clearly pushing to leave
  2. Latest free kick maestro of old era is leaving. While he was never a part of Chelsea, he is one of those players you cant do nothing but respect. Kinda feel empty we wont see his magic anymore.
  3. I think its more like 50m and Perez might actualy pick up the phone.
  4. To think again, if we are actualy talking about impossible buy of a Real Madrid player, we should get Modric and change to 4:3:3 with Matic, Modric and Cesc in middle. If we do that, Im sure we will win PL again, regardless if City buys Pogba, Sterling, De Bruyne and Chuck Norris. Modric is one of players I would kill to have here. Sadly he is not youngest anymore, but neither were Ballack or Maka when we signed them.
  5. Been thinking about that too, but its same on our official website, as well yokohama site, so its not wrong. But anyway they are paying us 40m per year, best sponsorship only behind United in whole europe, can say we pulled quite amazing deal there.
  6. People never said we should target Turan because he was targeted by barca, but because he is quality player.
  7. Pedro under Guardiola was indeed better player than Sanchez now IMO, but Pedro was so good because of the system and players around him, tiki taka, Villa, Messi and barca midfield suited Pedro perfectly. Sanchez on other hand is good player regardless where he plays. Pedro would be interesting adition, but he would be more of an impact sub, good player, but not as decisive as Sanchez is for Arsenal. I always rated Alexis back from Udinese days (that was some team with Alexis, Di natale, Inler, Benatia, Handa, Isla,...), more than Pedro. But Pedro is realy a team player, world class when team is running well, but can be also frustrating when things dont go easy, while Sanchez can do more alone.
  8. It doesnt look bad at all on these pictures. if you add our old badge and old adidas logo, plus remove sponsor it gives you nice little vintage kit.
  9. THIS: Mourinho vetoed Demba Ba's loan move to Arsenal in the summer of 2013 after deciding the Gunners were potential title rivals, but he said: "Petr Cech is not a player - he's an institution. "Ten years in goal, going through everything he went through, great moments and sad moments, dying on the pitch. "Chelsea gave him a lot, but for what he is giving to the club still, he deserves a special perspective. I think he won the right to be part of a discussion and a decision. Everyone should think about this before blasting Cech. You have attackers that win games, we had Cech in Champions league. I dont think a goalkeeper ever had such influence and importance in winning any title as did Cech. We had quite shit team, but Cech was absolute world class in that tournament. Our best player without a doubt. No disrespect to Drogba and co, but without Cech, we wouldnt win that year in million tries. He deserved to go wherever he goes and even if Arsenal, I will always respect him and like no matter what. Its football. Even if he performs well for arsenal, it should not be forgotten how much he gave to this team. Relationship goes both ways and we moved on first. Im just happy the breakup wasnt bad, but ended in good terms and respect.
  10. Like skipper said above, here is the link http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/9893838/chelsea-will-not-bid-above-16340million-for-liverpools-raheem-sterling Take it with pinch of salt, but sky is usualy quite reliable.
  11. Nah, he is using his hand during the games all the time to fix his haircut. In past he was focusing on scoring goals
  12. Neither Costa or Falcao have the technique and even bit of playmaking ability Etoo had. Diego and Falcao did play together in atletico, but they were both more out and out strikers than midfielders. We are already weak in midfield, no way will Jose take one more midfielder out for a striker and make us even weaker in middle unless we will be behind or in need for a goal.
  13. He needs to get his former haircut back. Looks like a diva with this new one.
  14. Yes we did brilliant in last couple of years with the new policy indeed. But FFP is now even less important than ever and all teams will pay whatever money for players they want and if we wont be the same, it will cut us out in signing races for majority of best players out there. What I dont want is to sign a world class player every year just for the sake of it because he is available or sth. But if Mourinho clearly wants someone specific, then we should not limit our offer. Try to playing bit of hard ball with them, if works good, if not pay full price before someone else does. Mourinho was splashing big in past with Essien, Carvalho, Drogba (back then those were some heavy prices for them), but it worked well. Because we were ready to get the players he wanted for any cost. And we had great success. I dont want us to fall out of every race for players that we are interested just because we are not ready to pay. We should never go crazy for some 100m bids, but if player is available and Mou wants him, then try to get him, money should be least of problem atm. The main problem is that we dont want to pay 50m or so for single player, but we pick alternative that we still pay 30m for and he is even more overpriced (30m for Willian, 20m for Scurrle, 30m for Cuadrado, while we could just go all out and offer 50m+ for someone who was actualy top back then). Willian is still here only because he is a great worker, and decent at everything else, but thats it.
  15. Lol 12m. He is not worth 42m, but 35m would be reasonable considering his potential and resale value. But hopefuly we keep him for one more year. Maybe a proper rest and full season will do him the world of good and he turns out great or at least consistent next season.
  16. What difference does 40m or 50m present anyway? Both is already big overpaying for current Sterling anyway. If Sterling performs well, 50m will be well spent. If he flops, then 40m what we are ready to pay is already too much in first place.
  17. We seem to take FFP too seriously. While I admire the club work in recent years, it will bite us in the ass if we will continue to respect FFP this much, while barca, real, city, psg, united, etc will continue to not give a shit.
  18. Hazard-Isco-Sterling Mou plan revealed While I like ''do not overpay'' policy at CFC, seriously with bids 6m for Begovic, 20m for Isco, 40m for Sterling, while their owners demand more and other clubs are willing to pay, we wont get anyone anytime soon. Isco wont happen unless we fork 50m and even then Real just might keep him because he is young and spanish. And Isco probably doesnt want to leave spain anyway.
  19. My only concern atm would be that if we dont bring any quality player for CB/fullback/RW/midfield and squad options for certain players, we might have big problems next summer when we will need to find Terry/Iva replacements, better player for RW, backup for Cesc, backup for Matic, potentialy new #10 if Oscar underperforms etc... I dont care if we dont bring any revolutionary players here, but for example selling Rambo and Mikel, and bringing Moutinho and Witsel (or similar players) would solve our rotation problem in midfield for sure. Im pretty sure we will make a few signings, I just hope these will be good signings, either for bench or first 11, regardless of price, name etc, as long as they do their job. I dont even want Gotze, Isco, etc, but just make sure we adress at least half the issues we have: 1, back up GK, 2. third striker, (done) 3. Proper backups for Matic and Cesc 4. More creative right winger 5. Terry future replacement; either young or experienced CB 6. Iva future replacement ((depends on Azpi position), or if Luis leaves; new fullback 7. Optional: if Mou wants some more balance and switch to 4:3:3, top box to box CM 8. Optional: If we sell Oscar, a new top AM If we dont solve half of these problems now, then we will have hell of problem next year and thats what Im more afraid than. Not worried about next season, but season after. We wont be able to get all these players in one window and that will bite us in the ass.
  20. My only real concern is that he never played in europe, and PL is probably physicaly most difficult league, even more so to play for Chelsea with high work rate, pressure, etc. He wont be a starter here, but will sit on bench and will have to give impact everytime when he will get on pitch. I think for someone who didnt play in europe could be very difficult situation, because he wont even have opportunity to get a run of games and adopt to PL and CL, just my thoughts. For 10-15m I dont see why not as Mikel replacement, but he is quite a risk. That said, I only saw him in Copa where he did great, but that is alot different quality of tournament compared to CL or PL, and on top, those two last whole season, not just one month.
  21. What about Domenico Berardi? I thought he is playing as striker, but he is actualy playing RW only. Juve sold him, Sassulo now has 100% ownership of him. Might be worth a punt if no one else is available. 15 goals, 10 assists. Young, italiian and wears #25 Anyone knows him better, @CHOULO19 perhaps?
  22. So our bench options next season will be Mikel, Ramires, Aranguiz. Brilliant.
