Obviously speed is not only factor. But two fbs with same skill set one fast and one normal, i would pick faster one every time. Alaba, Alba, Alves, Marcelo etc all modern fullbacks are quite fast. Lahm is exception, but he is on whole different level of ball control and distribution. We already have Azpi who is not the fastest. But for quicker play, we definately need a quick fullback(s) who can widen the play and overlap etc. But sure defending and crossing very important too. That said, RR didnt realy convince me yet and he comes from league that is entirely different than PL. Against the power and pace of PL, he doesnt realy have any other advantage. His skill set isnt that great to beat defenders. I just dont see him as player who would improve our attack and transition greatly. But for defending, I guess he is decent. If I was targeting full back now it would be from french or spanish league because they play at more similar tempo like PL and its useless to get a fullback who wont be able to cope with speed and tempo of PL.

Just my honest opinion, we should target faster fullback than RR. He is good but I want quick fullback because it works in PL. Fabinho would be my choice anyday over RR. But anything is better than Iva.

Shit performance. The passing, the movement. Everything goes too slow. Iva, Oscar have no place on the pitch if we keep on playing with Kante and Matic at same time, because they are too poor in attack. And then there is Pedro. You know quite many players get better in their second season even if they were flop in first. Just take a look at Arda for example. But here at chelsea, seems no player gives a single fuck to improve themselves and prove their price. Fuck off with such peasant mentality. Kudos to watford for their pressing game and bully play, but the ref was shit too. Amrabat or whoever that bald fuck is put whole arm over Eden to stop him and ref didnt do shit. Id like to go for younger quality, but there seems to be none available. In such case I rather buy good CB even if older, than average younger one. And we definately need another Cb.

What about Fonte? I know he is 32 or something, but he is realy good CB tbh. If Napoli keeps playing hard ball with us, we should look at alternatives and Fonte is one of better options IMO. Used to PL, had two realy realy good seasons and just won euros. If we dont sign Koulibaly, we will need to sign someone else and I hope we dont splash big money on some average CB or sign another Djilobodji.

I realy hope he bonds the team together. We have been playing like bunch of individuals with little connection between for a while now. If Conte can somehow unite the team, it would be all I want in his first season. Build pillars then bring in the missing pieces.

I heard Barca and United are interested, if we plan on keeping Azpi on left side, Fabinho should be our main target. He simply needs someone similar next to him. Maybe the idea of bringing James or someone similar isnt that bad at all. Obviously our attack needs to click, but Willian, Pedro, Oscar will never reach the level of Hazard and it would be sad not to see what Hazard can do along better team mates at Chelsea.

You all know Im not biggest Cesc fan, but unless we bring proper replacement, selling Cesc makes no sense. And with Gundogan and Pjanic gone, Im not sure who would that be.

Real has James, Isco, Kovacic, Asensio, not to mention even Modric who can all play the same position as #10. I would bet one of them will leave this summer.

Promising start, loved the celebrations from Conte and players. It seems they needed this win more than anything. The defence was surprisingly good, but when WHU pressed bit more, there was alot of uncertainity and we conceded. Hazard, Diego and Kante were realy good, the rest needs to up their level. Hopefully first win of many.

Im pretty sure number one thing Conte needs in his team is strong defence. If we wont have a good defence, we are pretty much fucked and Conte will get the boot before new year. If we however strenghten our back line by signing new defenders or if Conte creates a miracle and turns Cahill, Terry, Ivan good again, then we just might have a chance in upcoming year.

Imo the biggest signing of summer for us was keeping Costa.
