Yes but Xabi is about to retire and Vidal is not. I meant if you put Xabi in his prime and current Vidal, Xabi was better in that holding role.
-
I know, Conte manages squad to win titles indeed, but there is probably no one better than Poch when it comes to creating young stars.
-
Unless we get decent replacement first, no way we can allow him to leave.
-
Well he is not playing much is he... He was absolutely brilliant in prime, he is piss for past two years, but that doesnt change the fact all the great things he did to this club. I fell in love when he scored two headers against Pool at Anfield in 2009 CL. Legend. Damn I still remember how brilliant we played back then, after going 1 down. At anfield and we completely destroyed that pool side which was better than today's one. But you wont see such good game next week.

Bats, Zouma, RLC, Chalo and Ake should all play. Maybe even Aina, he didnt play for a while after promising start. As for Kenedy, hmm I had realy high hopes with him last season. I guess if Pochetino was manager, he would be a starter by now, but it seems we will throw him away.
-
I will never get it why these guys move so quick. I know he wanted to play, but he is not playing in Pool, partly because of injuries but also because he aint as good as it was expected. If he sticked to us, he might not get injured so much, he might not be our leading guy, but he would be accepted by fans and he would get decent amount of chances even with Diego. And we wouldnt need to buy all these players like Remy, Ba or Bats. I think he would be more than decent for us as second choice striker. Its a shame realy. Back then it looked as if he made right choice, but I think overall he would of had better career if he stayed here and fought for place. We had awful strikers few years ago.

Far from what he once was. Now he is more of a Xabi Alonso (not as good, but similar role), than bulldog b2b he was at juve. He is still quality no doubt (and since we have Kante already, it would be perfect), but if people expect him to run week in week out, tackle left and right, they wont see that. Juve sold him partly because he was getting older. Even at his peak in juve, he got heavy legs, fatigue and injuries in late stages of season, and that was 4 years ago. Vidal was always one of my favourite players, but his role was completely changed at bayern under Pep. He takes half less defensive actions these days, runs less, but has better positioning and passing.

Mate I like how you post stuff about rumours, but come on, dailystar rumours are absolute horseshit. The dolphins will start invasionon humans sooner than we throw 63m at Bernardeschi
-
Liverpool losing left and right at Anfield, but when we come, they will probably play game of their season and then return to shit against hull.
-
Our kits from past few years were very decent, but people still talked they are always the same and too similar, nothing new...
-
Sponsor apart is as simple and plain as it gets. I love such designs without any nonsense. But if we had such kits every year, people would call them boring, plain, same as previous year, etc
-
Im more than happy we ended with Alonso too, despite first doubts, he did realy good job so far. But IMO I dont see Ghoulam as someone that will give us the quality in the long run. From physical perspective, he looks quick and strong who can run alot, but on technical level and intelligence, Im not so sure. Then again I cant remember much of him, I saw some Napoli games but he never realy impressed me I guess, thats why I dont remember if he was any good.
-
Is he that good? I dont want two LBs (LWBs) that would cost 50m combined and we would still need to replace them in long run. Just splash the cash on someone like Sandro in summer then.
-
It would be ok if Juve was playing in china. But for such big brand that Juve is, its against the tradition and football without the tradition is nothing. In general, many things in football is turning into shit. Sure it takes time to get used to it and definately it has alot to do with nostalgy, but I think older crests are nicer. Current City is awful, too plain and yet too much going on without any meaning. Atletico one is very similar to current, so it gets a pass. Then you have PL logo. The old one was much much better than new one, which looks as if it was designed by feminist.

I dont follow benfica much, but I read that even 30m is too much for him...
-
He cant handle the league in defensive sense. And our strenght comes from defensive stability. I do agree he could play games like hull, but overall despite how useful he is in creating chances, there is no way he can play in double pivot. Maybe in 3 man midfield, yes, but then Pedro must come off and we lose speed and his high pressing. And Cesc didnt lose spot instantly. Last year he was dreadful (most were), in summer Conte decided he doesnt suit the system and he benched himi. I have full trust in Conte when he picks the players based on his system and not by name or who and how they played before...so far, Conte used Cesc brilliantly. We have defensive stability, but he brings him in games where we need something extra and so far its paying off. What I dont get, we are first in league by nice difference, Matic for all his flaws is absolutely brilliant in defense and yet people talk shit of his contribution and want Cesc to start games who is proven that he is not mobile enough.
-
I think United might actualy be crazy enough to buy him (not that I believe this bollocks of a rumour, but you know hipotheticaly) But us, haha no way.
-
Haha this is soo underrated
-
Must say he is brilliant under Pioli. In current form would be addition to any team in Prem.
-
I think we will struggle against Pool, but wouldnt write anyone off. But IMO this pool side just doesnt suit us very well. Maybe we can get narrow win if we have a good day. And we play Arsenal at bridge, I think we will be pumped up to get revenge for that loss and Conte surely must come with good plan this time. Besides we now play with new formation, more confidence, its all about attitude. Mentality like we had against united, city and spurs home; we can easily expect at least 4 points. Mentality like vs pool or arsenal early and we have zero chance.
-
Come on, hull was playing realy well. Their new manager could be next Pochettino in prem. I heard he did brilliantly in portugal and olympiacos, and cosnsidering he has this shit hull side, they played very good tonight against us. We on other side, we played very reserved and still pulled win, two goals and clean sheet. Eden was poor, we were very static, but we had such days before, earlier in season. Comments implying we played this way because we were set up for Diego are clear nonsense. Once again he was the main man who saved our asses.
-
Well it settles it his celebrations try to say press talks bullshit to disrupt him, but he still scores goals.
-
I hope Pep goes for Stegen
-
If he ever leaves, I hope it gets clear soon enough so we can get Oblak as replacement before city or someone else snatches him up.
