  1. If we realy cant get Vidal or Verratti, Dahoud would be realy good alternative.
  2. Idealy we would need to replace Cahill, Alonso, Moses, Matic and Pedro to complete this squad. But first in summer, I think new CM and either Moses/Alonso replacement would bring us to next level, that said both new players must be top quality. To bring Eden to next level, I prefer we get new LWB instead of RwB simply because someone in mould of Sandro would make Eden better. Alonso and Moses both have some advantages and some disadvantages tho. As for midfielder I hope we get technicaly very sound player, but at same time someone who can defend. Verrati, Rabiot and Matuidi worked perfectly because all three are great on ball with good passing, same for Kroos and Modric. Thats why I would rule Bakayoko out. I would be happier to throw around 100m on Vidal/Verratti and someone like Alex Sandro than same amount on 5 players of Alonso quality.
  3. To lighten up the dark mood in this thread; Haters gonna hate, potatoes gonna potate
  4. Partly because PL clubs look only at money and they cant use resources. Take a look at Boateng at City and Bayern. Or Luis at Chelsea and Atletico. Day and night. City and United can create damn fantastic team with their money and they dont need to sell to Real/Barca unless for 100m plus, which I doubt those two can afford atm. But they wont because their management is on same level like Real was few years ago. Throwing money around but no results. Real changed alot in past few years buying smarter and you can see how successful they are. Its true that Real Barca is more appealing to most players, but England is at its own fault. PL doesnt produce enough quality players like spain or germany do. For example; Neuer, Vidal, Lewandowski were designed in bundesliga, making them prefer german clubs over others. All PL is doing is throwing shitload of cash at foreign players who have absolutely zero loyalty or affiliation to england (with very few exceptions). I mean United had Evra in past. Now the best they can do with all their money is Shaw? Blind? And I think we have alot of improvement before we can take on CL. Unless we go full park the bus with lot of luck approach, which I dont realy want. Balanced football would be more appropriate.
  5. This. People play too much Fifa these days. Yes, because we can find a better striker right? Talking about Dybala who is at 5 goals or so this season. Talk about Griezmann who has just about same chances to flop in PL like Pogba. Or Aubameyang who did shit outside of bundesliga. Or Belotti who didnt even complete one top season. Or Lacazette who did shit outside PL. Man you do know Chelsea in last 18 years, repeating 18 years had only Hasselbaink, Drogba (maybe could throw Gudjohnsen to the mix) and now Costa (who you say is average) who found their feet in our club? And about 10 supposed world class strikers who absolutely failed here? Who knows how would those strikers do here and we would pay shitload of money to get them, not to mention its not exactly easy to get Dybala or Griezmann. Why change things when Costa is in top scoring form? Yet you find a striker who in 3 years, brought us two titles (hopefuly 8 points is enough), a striker who scored like 40 goals in 70 games average? Because he doesnt dribble like Eden and because he doesnt have work rate of Kante? Well then... Talking about out and out quality, there are only Suarez, Lewandowski and obviously Messi/Ronaldo to have equal or better striking ability than Costa. We cant get those players can we? And even if we could someone like you would begin to complain they are average strikers because they dont show up in pyjama at party.
  6. Arsenal losing big time again? Lol I rather not play in CL than watching that shit every year.
  7. Some bayern fans are fairly confident Vidal will leave Bayern (and most possibly join Chelsea). If thats the case, he would replace Matic.
  8. Going by his profile pic he is from 12th century and doesnt know the germans started two WWs.
  9. He is having superb season so far. Those who say he should be one of candidates for player of season are not so wrong. He has been a real leader and warrior for the team. But its just funny how he has been doing fantastic whole season, but the real praise only came after the goal he scored vs pool. He is a defender, and he did damn amazing work there. Then scores a free kick and suddenly media goes crazy best cb in league etc etc.
  10. Well Barzagli has been Juve best defender for past few years. Fuck what media says and their wank on modern CBs, when based by pure defensive actions, Barzagli is lot better than Bonucci or even Chiellini. That said, people have different criteria when it comes to best CBs in world.
  11. Only players Christensen can replace are Luiz who at the moment is top material and also leader or Azpi who is one of best defenders in world. Cahill on other hand, gives us some height and no way will Christensen replace him because we already look weak in crosses. Zouma on other hand can replace Cahill. While Christensen is promising, I dont see him anywhere near first 11 because he aint better than luiz or Azpi and not tall/strong enough to replace Cahill. But he can make fine backup. As for Zouma, if he wants to play regular football, he has to prove he is better than Cahill. Simple as that. If he leaves tho, I bet he will be pushing to United and Mou lol.
  12. Icardi? Off all the young strikers, he is without the doubt the most limited one and arguably a very lazy one. He is a good poacher thats why he gets those goals, but even inter fans would replace him with Kun in second if they had chance.
  13. I agree. Mourinho is now a United manager and thats it. I understand there is no love for him while he coaches that squad, but all that hate towards him is ridiculous. People here talk shit of him whole year now and use excuse that its because he is coaching a rival. Right. Most of the jibes are pointed at Mou himself, not United as whole. I know he talks shit and people here hate it. But he did the same damn thing when he was here. And people loved him then. For his personality too. Thats such a hypocrite thing. Right, people wont come here to praise the man, after all he is now our rival. But coming here week in week out talking all kind of trash for no reason is ridiculous. Some jokes tho are indeed funny, but most just wish him to achive the biggest possible shame. Why? Because he fucked up last season? And how do you know it was not the players who didnt give a fuck? Because he didnt play youth? Lol give me a break, most are simply not good enough. Even so, there is no real reason why he gets so much stick. The man is after all one could say a fucking father to what Chelsea is today. Perhaps if you cant respect him for the present, respect him for his past. I chuckle after reading his comments this season, he is indeed silly. But he is getting his treatment with that poor league position. There is no need I must now comment every week about this and that shit. Its like people are obssesed with the man. But then again, I dont know why Im even wondering this. Half of the forum wants Costa out and trash talks him after every poor game, despite the man is #1 reason why we are first. Says all realy. I remember how Chelsea fans were one with having the most respect for their current and past members, including those who did questionable; ie Cech or Lamps. Nowdays all I hear is complaint left and right. Show some goddamn respect for past and support for present players and coaches.
  14. I must say whatever the design will be, that nike hook looks much better next to Yokohama than adidas logo. Samsung and adidas looked perfect, but yokohama looks better with nike. While all of these designs are fake, home shirts look realy neat and I realy hope real deal will be something similar.
  15. This. Its all cool if you have 10 Hazards in the team, but if you defend for 80min in every bigger game, 10 Azpis will be more useful. We are still hoof and pray kind of team. We might have more individual talent than before, but as far as team goes, we are far cry in attacking sense compared to Barca, Real or even Atletico. And while our players can withstand more pressure from opponent constant attacks, I think if we just go defender vs attacker, our defence isnt as great either. Real can play offensive football and still get away with clean sheet, while we need to park 8 players deep to stop Liverpool side. Not that Im complaining about this season, for PL we have been excellent. But we have a long way to play against top sides in same fasion as Barca or Bayern does, playing normal attacking football and controling games. And we have been the same 10 years ago, only difference is that squad could turn up and completely overpower the opponents if we realy needed the goal, while current one has yet to prove that.
  16. If we sell Diego, I wouldnt settle for anything less than Lukaku-Morata. Both young, experienced, quick, can score with both feet or head, but while one is target man, the other is second striker and I think it would be deadly. Maybe we could get Hasselbaink-Gudjohnsen mark II in those two. That said, I still hope Diego stays here for next few years.
  17. Just saw a tweet from scouser from 3 days ago; We drop points to Chelsea. MUFC drop points to Hull. The difference Now take a look at Hull:Liverpool result hahah
  18. He has hunger to score and be top on goalscorers list. Good for us he had bad finishing when we got others to score. Next time he gets these chances, he can score two, easy.
  19. He is brilliant player on his own, but a very frustrating one too. His passing and link up sometimes is awful and makes you frustrated soon. He dwells on ball too long instead of releasing it. But as long he plays the striker role in Arsenal where he is the main guy, it works. But on the wing and if he played next to Costa and Eden, he would need to adopt to become more team player. Him and Costa, I can see plenty of chances wasted because those two would try to do things on their own. One player, it works, but two I dunno. I would still prefer someone more creative and quicker thinker, with a decent shot. Besides looking at Alexis not giving a crap when things go south, we dont need such character.
  20. Take a look at his ratings on whoscored and compare to Pogba I noticed it few times already, but that settles it, that site has become absolute shite.
  21. Silva is doing realy well with Hull so far.
  22. Alonso could be our next Ivanovic if he keeps banging these goals
  23. People keep bitchin about Costa... The fact we comfortably won 3:1 and everyone contributed to victory seems to be of second meaning today.
  24. Its the kind of player I take any day of the week ahead of flashy guys like James, Pogba etc. Being footballer myself when I was still in highscool, I know that core and heart of team comes from good midfielders. The sad part is that players like Kante, Gabi, Koke, Parolo, Matuidi etc get so little praise compared to Griezmann or Pogba and the likes. Yeah people say these midfielders are all muscle and power and no brain or technique, but man, when you are playing there in the team, that midfielder will have the bigger heart, motivation and determination than whole team. Shame that this kind of players is slowly but quickly getting replaced by the new generation of wannabe midfielders who are so fucking spoiled. Old school is nearly gone...there are however some exceptions, mainly from south america in poorer places with less technology and strict parents that help making a strong character. Downside is that education is missing too and there you get brave guys but also bit loco. We should be exceptionaly happy that we got one of these rare old school midfielders in Kante.
