I dont remember you (or anyone else) saying that about Kante when we were on 13 match win streak. However now after average game or two, all the doubters are coming back. Its a knee jerk reaction and a bad one. Im all for listening peoples opinions and make conversation etc, but when peoples opinions change as the wind goes, and making conclusions when someone is doing well, he is best player in the world, then when he has poor game, suddenly some get idea that he should be replaced eventualy. And we all know same people wont be saying that when he puts few worldie performances again, which he definately will. Eden, Costa, Kante, Azpi are arguably best buys we made in past years and sure they will have bad games. Every player has bad games. But that doesnt mean they are not good enough and need to be replaced eventualy. And for your info, Kante lost like 4 games since he came to PL, I dont know what you call consistent, but he is as consistent as it goes (and yes, he played well against big sides too). And to continue about Kante, he is primarly a defensive mid. He can act as b2b, but his first task is to break attacks, intercept and tackle and he is nearly world class at that. He is not Pirlo, so I dont expect him to have such technique, then again his passing in general has been very very good. I wonder what you would say about someone like Makelele if he was here now.

Im all in for people saying their opinions but there needs to be a level. Saying Kante aint good enough for our side is like saying Messi will never be as good as Kalou. My point is, its ok to have your opinion, but never go full retard.

As far I know, Matic is one of top tacklers/interception this season. He aint always at best and his ball control is weird often, but generaly he is one of main reasons why we have such strong defence. Last year he was poor, but this year he deserves more credit.

Well its not just the defenders. Its midfielders too. Only Spurs have decent amount of good english players in Kane, Alli and Rose. Maybe you can stick Dier and Sterling to that mix, but thats about it. However none comes close to Terry, Ferdinand, Lamps, Gerrard or 2004 Rooney. How can you say that? Midfield is as crucial as is attack or defense. We got overrun in middle by spurs and we lost 2:0. And we defintely have better attack then them and at least equaly good defence based on form. Yet we lost. Because their midfield was too quick, strong and at same time technicaly brilliant to give us no chance. Against such midfield all you can do (if you want to control game) is to hide the ball. And players like Verratti are best. Madrid won two CLs with Modric-Kross. But obviously they would be stronger with Vidal since they already have playmakers. They dont need another one. We however only have destructors in Matic and Kante. Vidal would improve us, but Verratti-Kante-Matic sounds alot better than Matic-Kante-Vidal. Besides you aint gonna get full of energy Vidal these days. His time of being allround runner are over. He is now much more composed and tidy player. Runs alot less. If we were to buy Vidal, we should have done it 3 years ago. He aint Yaya or Dembele to use sheer strenght either.

Vidal is going to his past prime relatively quickly. Besides why compare us to Real and Bayern? They already have Modric, Kroos and Xabi, Thiago. They dont need another playmaker. We on the other hand do. Even when Vidal was at top, juve had playmaker in Pirlo. If we want to rule, we need playmaker. Kante-Vidal/Bakayoko is strong, but you need someone to pull the strings and dictate. Psg is shit as whole this year. Unfair to say Verratti is poor. Same was us last year, but you would still take Eden in heartbeat because of his quality. If we pull Verratti deal, we will have top 5 midfielder for next 10 years if he stays here.

It was his first game, but realy he has a long long way to go. He was quite slow, bad reactions and poor ball control. I also miss his agresivness he had back then, but I guess mentaly its very hard after year long injury.

If Tibo was ever to leave, we better get replacement before that. As long we get GK ala Donnaruma or Oblak, I wouldnt mind who is better; Tibo or those two. Chelsea have by far the best schedule for festive period. By far. No other team gets that much rest in between games, so hopefuly we take full advantage of that. Bournemouth are no pushovers, they play well. And I think we will miss Kante more than Costa. There is no one as quick, energetic and dynamic as Kante. Hopefuly Cesc and Matic get the job done or maybe we will even see Nate who is still quicker than both. Bats needs to take his chance, but we will also need the best of Eden.
