  1. With some players the effect of overrated english players is slowly getting against them. Rice indeed is nice talent, but many will dismiss it because he must be just another overrated englishman. However at the end, he is still a mid-lowtable club player with no experience. If that was in france, he would go for 20m to Lyon (lets say Leicester in PL), improve, perform in europe and then move to a top club. However with him being in PL, he is suddenly rated at 60m+ and headed only to a top club. Sadly thats not how a young player should progress and thats why many english players ultimately flop. The system is complete crap here. Richarlison is a great example of how 90% of talents usualy move in other leagues. Weird that such move was done in PL. He went from Watford to Everton and eventualy will go to a top team. Or Sancho, althrough to another league, but still to a good club thats not above his level; he is now getting steady progress. Thats how most talents in PL should be going. But no, lets inflate and overrate everything. Zaha being great example. Not so much better than Rich, but Crystal wanted 60m for him lol. Literaly all thats wrong with PL. Yes Camavinga is linked to Real too, but hey that happens once every blue moon. In PL everyone thinks they have the next 5 Ronaldos and Maldinis in their squad every season.
  2. For as much I dislike Pool, they built a nice team with clear vision and not ridiculously overspend. The fact they brought some homegrown talent like Gomes and TAA, bought Robertson for peanuts and turned them into top LB, bought Salah and Mane who were good, but now world class. And lastly, they played fantastic football. In a world where City spends so much only to bench their stars, same with Real or Barca and then they complain and go buy even more, I admire Pools philosophy of building a squad. Yes they bought Dijk, Alison etc, but they play them all the time. Same for the front 3. And thats what football is about. Not buying Mahrez, Bale, James, Griezmann, Coutinho and then bench them, killing their careers and stopping the chance for their previous clubs to reach something. The idea to need the hottest fruit just so that others dont even if you dont need it and then keep them on bench or loan them out cuz they dont fit. Like fuck that, this isnt what football is about. We could have a top team in Atletico led by Griezmann or Mahrez, Cout could actualy be a star in their team so we could enjoy the show every weekend. But no, the big rich clubs want everything even if they dont need it. So yeah, as a Chelsea fan I dislike Pool, but as a football fan, I respect that and like it that they buy players they need and build a team. After all Klopps Dortmund was my favourite non Chelsea team in a long time. They played some brilliant footie too with no superstars. So them winning CL wasnt the end of the world for me. They were the best team last year. Credit where its due. And they shat on Tottenham who I hate even more along Arse and Barca. With the title now they got cocky. I dont like that anymore. And Fabinho has always been such a cunt.
  3. By that I meant even if we sign a big name (that Werner and Ziyech defo are) doesnt mean they are gonna be big players for us. They might flop, so I will wait first to see how they play here and then judge if the board did a good job identifying and buying them.
  4. What about Bruno G? He is gonna be maybe the best of them all that are still available
  5. Doesnt entire germany hate Leipzig for how they got to the top? They were created 10 years ago...like its against tradition etc. And anyone who isnt a Bayern fan probably also hates Bayern. So it would be fun to see a german final and neutral germans who they would want to win๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„ It would be like being Chelsea fan and Arse-Spuds play in final...Id hope for a dinosaurs to attack the stadium.
  6. are u from manchester or liverpool? If you were I guess you would be supporting homeclub, thats where DDA was coming from I guess. Anyway you still support Chelsea which is english, so he proved his point๐Ÿ˜
  7. i hope Lamps gets this. If not he will be unpleasantly surprised when 65m will be gone from the account. ๐Ÿ˜„
  8. Lets wait to see how Werner, Ziyech and others adapt to PL. Then we can talk about great deals or flops. Even Jorgi and Kepa ultimately proved they were flops and not worth the money and time. Since Torres, Morata etc I prefer to wait even if a big name is signed.
  9. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Soon Ronaldo will be advising Messi to join Chelsea right? ๐Ÿ˜„ I mean how could they make that up haha? Neuer is german, Chelsea is english and Onana plays in netherlands. Neither has any history together whatsoever.
  10. 1 ) PL got completely schooled this season in Europe. 2.) That is, the very best teams of PL. 3.) On technical, tactical level way below other leagues. 4.) There are however lower clubs in PL too. 5.) The players from those smaller clubs cost about 2 times more than players from leagues that schooled top PL clubs. 6.) Im convinced we should splash extra cash on them. 7.) Get Chilwell, Rice, Dunk, Foster, xyz for 300m and maybe Drinkwater will finaly have buddies in the clubs. ---- Seriously, Chilwell and Rice arent even that awful, but when will the teams learn to simply just refuse paying that much money. Then clubs that demand these ridiculous prices will either lower their demands or have unhappy player around and get relegated to championship. Boohoo.
  11. Problem with Reguilon is that RM wants to include buyback clause. If thats true, it makes no sense to develop LB for 2 years and then RM snatches him back.
  12. All Im saying is we will likely have speed only on one flank. People say Giroud stops all our movement. It will be the same with Ziyech. He will be great asset against parked buses, but on counters, he is simply not fast enough. And you usualy need both wingers and striker to be acceptably fast for that. Ajax was level above in holland and they could dominate possesion as they did in CL surprisingly well. It was great for Ziyech. Thankfuly Lamps wants to play similar football. But when we will be playing against quality sides like City, United or Liverpool, we will have to rely on possession and creativity instead of the good old quick movement. For example, Liverpoo has 2 quick wingers which gives headache to opponents. Bayern will have two in Sane and Gnabry. City doesnt always because Silva plays RW sometimes but you have to be absolute boss in possesion for that to work and Pep often played Sterling/Mahrez. Wonder what kind of football Lamps wants to truly develop here, but if he is looking for prime efficient Chelsea or Klopps Liverpool, he aint getting that with Ziyech on wing. Thats again what I have been saying in another thread. We buy players who are not complete. A winger has to be quick, good in tight spaces and efficient. Ziyech is 2 out of 3. Just like every other player on this team, he has a major weakness. Fabregas was amazing creator and passer, but awful engine and terrible in tight spaces. He just wasnt a perfect midfielder, needed a bunch of others to cover up for him. That is no way to move forward. Hopefuly Ziyech surprises me, because as a footballer, he is absolute joy to watch. Just not sure about his adaption to PL on wings
  13. Also Im wondering how will Ziyech fit on that wing. He is not quick, neither is Azpi or James. It will be fun to watch turtles walk on that right flank ๐Ÿ˜„ He better be either in the middle or have end product like Kdb/Bruno, otherwise people will start shitting on him quickly.
  14. They finished there because the team knew they aint winning ligue 1 and often just didnt turn up to win games. If the league wasnt cancelled, maybe they would climb eventualy to europa spots too. They are however a fantastic team when they have motivation. Came to french cup finals and only lost on pens. They were realy good last year in CL. The cool thing is they lose Lacazette, Tolisso, Fekir but always find replacements and get even better.
  15. Who is dropped then? Kova? Kante? One of Puli/Werner/Ziyech/Kai? ?
  16. Well obviously. But they signed Davies for 13m. Pool signed Robertson for 8m. Not 65. For that cash, you expect Chilwell to be next Ashley Cole at least. We also signed De Bruyne and Salah for almost nothing. And where are they now? All in all, our board has been catastrophic to say the least given what we could have with just tiny bit more faith and brains. I mean Im not a scout. But these clubs are showing its possible to spend wise. Chelsea, along with United and Barcelona have the worst board of the last 10 years.
  17. Its just crazy we are on brink of making all these transfers, yet our squad still has a bunch of players that are so uncomplete. Kovacic, entire defense, DM whoever it is. Even the rumoured Dunks, Chilwells, Rice etc...are they realy a high potential players? Can they actualy deliver in big PL and CL games like Davies or Aouar? Up the clutch? Not talking about today, but does Chilwell actualy have potential to go that extra mile in few years? We keep chasing these maybe one day good players for extra ridiculous prices because they are overrated PL players, meanwhile teams will track players like Thiago, Aouar, Reguilon, Telles, Party and get complete player there. One purchase and they are good for a few years in the spot. Kovacic is great player, but very limited. When we purchased him, he was a bench player for RM, not consistent enough. Didnt have that extra spark. Aouar is bossing city for two years now. Why dont we wait and target players that deliver at biggest stage and have good allround quality not just one standout ability and being average at others. I remember when we were signing Carvalho, Essien, Drogba...they all came from superb seasons. Its like getting best CB from Leipzig or midfielder from Lyon now. Because they have actualy shown they are quality. They have shown they have the ability. Reguilon is key to sevilla defence that ended in CL spots and is in semis of EL. Yet we are desperate to go for Rice, Chilwell, Dunk and we will end up paying even more for them. Overrated unproven. Then people will complain again next summer. If we sign Chilwell etc I hope they come good, but the risk is massive. Its not like we dont have english players in our youth if we want to nationalise the club a little. Or maybe one single player like Rice/Chilwell. Not all of them ffs.
  18. Why would Bayern sell Thiago? They have incredible team and he is one of key players in midfield. Not old either. Unless they are getting someone like Aouar, it just doesnt make sense. They can sell Tolisso and few others if they are short on cash after Sane buy.
  19. Dunk is ridiculously slow CB. Sure, sign him up, throw 50m away and then look for another upgrade next summer.
  20. What? Yes Fekir has suspectible knees, but his last 3 seasons were absolutely amazing. Also Id rather have Guimares and Aouar than Rice and Havertz. Would make us 10x more balanced.
  21. Its also the body language of Guardiola. As soon lyon scored, there was desperation in him already and he started bitching onto players to do their job. Garcia on other hand, or other managers from previous days were calm and composed, kept their shit together till final minutes. I guess he is very passionate for CL, but this adds unneccesary pressure and nervousness on players.
  22. Yes but mostly refs fucked us over. I mean Terry slipped but barca, liverpool games should be ours. City and psg are choking on themselves with their pussy like performances. Kind of dissapointed atalanta didnt hold for a bit longer and kick them out.
  23. Best english team ever๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„ I predicted Pep will choke again this year, check old comments...They are never getting this title with Pep. The dude actualy went with bunker against lyon. Mahrez, Silva on bench haha. City, real and barca are disgrace to football. Having all these star players on bench.
  24. A fullback can also be a bit lightweight. But a DM, striker or CB must be strong or either very gritty like Aguero (who is also strong, not the best example but yeah). Find me a small striker who isnt strong enough that is sucessful in PL. A winger or fullback, maybe even attacking mid can be a bit of lightweight and still pull the tricks.
  25. Well yes having more of these attributes makes you a pro footballer. Strength, speed, stamina, technique...if he didnt have any he wouldnt be a good striker at all. He already has speed; stamina and strength can be achieved eventualy if he decides to improve. Salah got way better in this compared to his Chelsea days for example. But it all falls down to mentality. Does he want to push forward or is he like nah Im fine... If you look at Goretzka in bayern, he is almost twice the size now because he trained during the corona break. Christensen is still a weak boy despite he could take advantage and train. Its all about getting better. He is weak clearly and yet doesnt do anything about it. Now dont go Micah Richards levels, thats too much, but improvement can be done always.
