I wonder where will Estupinan end up. Electric fullback...
-
Well you never know. Haverz could start farming and leave football.
-
Gladbach is in CL and they will unlikely sell Ginter.
-
Osimhen wasnt as good as David, yet he started the games for Lille. I doubt they paid 30m for someone who wont start. David will IMO be a stiker. A versatile one, but still. They already have Bamba, Ikone and Renato as their AMs. Unless they will sell Ikone I dont see David being their AM.
-
They already bought David. Why they need another striker when they are selling CB?

Prem is great because a random Watford who eventualy fell in championship can buy one of best prospects from ligue 1 in Sarr. Last PL team can afford more than most top teams in europe. In Spain, you have Barca, Real, Atletico who can spend. Others have to sell to buy. Valencia finished among top, yet they are in complete destruction sadly. Any team that stays in PL, is financialy strong to build a better foundation. That means while teams like Valencia have ups and downs every season, if you can stay in PL, and if you buy well, you can become very good and stable team, ala Leicester, or in past years Everton, Southampton, Watford, Aston Villa years ago etc..in spain, its always all about Real and Barca. It gets boring unless you are big fan of either. For neutrals and people who like entertainment, thats a no go. Bayernliga or Juveliga are even worse. Imagine Leganes or Mallorca fork this kind of cash on such player? And they wouldnt go there anyway. And while Watford suck for most of the season, and would get thrashed by most La liga sides, they have this kind of players who can bring couple of surprises like win vs Liverpool 3:0. And thats all what PL is. Entertainment. Last team gets more interest and fame than Sevilla on global scale because you have neutral followers. PL fantasy is most popular fantasy football league in the world. EA has PL as the only fully licenced league in their game. Because money. Because popularity. Many people dont follow football, but they follow PL for the entertainment. Same is with NBA or Superbowl. You have shitload of "fans " who know jackshit about basketball or american football, yet they watch some games because of entertainment that is provided with loads of cash. And PL is same. Its the most entertaining league in the world. Sooner or later it will become most quality once again too.

What people dont get? The issue with Chiwell was never that he isnt good or that Reguilon is suddenly better etc. The issue with Chilwell is his price. He is never ever 50-70m player because then he would not only have to improve but improve to be best fullback in the world. And thats unlikely. Not to mention, money saved from Chilwell fee could be used for CB or GK. There are several alternatives like Telles, Tagliafico or Reguilon. Each would cost around 30m. Even in the crazy crazy world of football and money, only Mendy and the other Mendy cost 40m+ when it comes to fullbacks. Now its corona time when every player is a bit cheaper. We will have to sell Emerson, Bats, Baka, Kepa, Alonso, Jorginho etc for even less than usual because corona. And then comes Leicester demanding 50m for Chilwell in todays climate. Bottom line, Chilwell is good, maybe even very good LB. Maybe better than Reguilon or Tagliafico. Maybe. But he isnt worth 50m upwards. If he was actualy super talented ala Davies or if he was the only option, but there are alternatives. And thats what bothers many people. Because you can get Tagliafico and realy good GK. Or just Chilwell. And what if he flops? Who will pay that for him? Just another player ala Bakayoko we cant get rid off. Reguilon or Tagliafico is easly reselable because they excelled in european football too. Marina did some great work, but lets not forget 40m Drinkwater, 40m Bakayoko, 40m Batshuayi, 70m Kepa, 70m Morata, 25m Zappacosta etc...

Its the most entertaining. Many players from smaller clubs however are overrated as hell.
-
Haha he needs big pace upgrade though 😄
-
😂 Edit: Pope is 28 already?? Wow I thought he was 24 or something...
-
This was pre corona, but probably not since its from sky Edit: just checked out PL site, Jorginho is 4th now with 16 (kdb 32, maddison 19, buendia 17). I guess he was 2nd then, but sky made a mistake...
-
How much would Pope cost?
-
I dont think he is as bad as people make it out. He isnt that super creative midfielder that will be racking up chances every game, but more of a man before that man. That said, he is realy poor when holding the backline. Any stronger or quicker players just stroll past him on regular basis and break the midfield, that has been the standard for a while now.

Patience is the biggest virtue...

Manager should never make these decisions. Torres is great example here. You need a sporting director who picks the best choice. Manager can tell what kind of player he wants and maybe suggest, but then its up to director to find suitable option. Lampard, Ancelotti or any manager can observe players in matches and they impress them. Then they might say, yes get Torres or Chilwell or whoever. Their role isnt scouting entire europe. Meanwhile sporting director can set up entire system actoss europe to find the best possible striker or lb or someone else. If you have biased manager towards PL players or director who has little clue, you get Kepas, Bakayokos, Drinkwaters etc. Every team makes such bad signing from time to time, but we did many many bad signings. Thats why we need someone like Kenyon, Marotta or Edwards to build us a team, not Lampard or Marina.
-
I also remember he didnt like at the time some argentine best GK, so they played Romero instead. Not sure which world cup and which gk...
-
Its now official; So Alonso is no longer #3?
-
No one denies he isnt good midfielder. Problem is with him as holding midfielder, we dont have midfield when defending. Our backline is poor and Jorginho is no better.
-
Thiago at 36 is no slower than Dunk. And miles better defender and leader.
-
We still have this guy on books? Jesus when people say we havent been spending that much in recent years...infact we spent it alot, but mostly on crap and average players...
-
Bold prediction, Psg has better defence and will win the final. Neymar is also on fire, then there is Mbape and AdM. Bayern is ruthless, but also realy lucky. Their back line is nothing special, excluding Neuer.
-
Rennes would be perfect for Tomori development. If he doesnt get playtime like he did in last season at the start, either loan him or sell him with buy back clause. Tired of watching players on bench not getting chance. Same with Odoi. Game every 3 weeks is not enough for them. They have to play week in week out if they want to fullfill their potential.
-
My prediction is City winning the title comfortably. Liverpool will fall a bit if they dont sign anyone, but their quality gap is still too big for the rest of league, so 2nd. Chelsea and United could surprise, but very hard. 3rd and 4th place. Next season however, we could be in for the title race.

Tbh I dont want us to become another city without known starting 11. Its always best to have 11 starters than rotation that city is doing. Because it creates a better chemistry and players give it all. Why would Mahrez give 110% if he knows he will get benched next 2 games? And thats exactly what is killing City in games like Lyon. If we plan to buy Chilwell, then stick to him even if he hits the hard run. Support him and let him improve. He cost 65m, he has to be trusted by the board, no? Otherwise why would we pay that if we dont have faith in him. Meanwhile if he hits bad form and we play Reguilon, why would Chilwell give a damn when he returns if we are picking players like its just business. It creates bad chemistry and we should stay away from such tactic. Chilwell/Reguilon as first option and Alonso as backup is fine.
