  1. ridiculous from luiz again. and cahill cut open at the back. what a soft goal to concede.
  2. luizz himself has admitted that his role in the team is to be the joker in the team. not the leader of the team. the players won't take him seriously and have you seen luiz try to defuse a situation during a game? no because he gets carried away with his actions on the pitch. classic example - van persie against manu,. plus, he doesn't speak english fluently. the only point people are attributing to luiz is passion while completely ignoring the other points.
  3. http://www.carefreechronicles.com/2012/10/pointing-fingers-goals-from-luiz-og-and.html not sure if posted already but that's an analysis of united's first-half goals. doesn't tell the whole story about our defence but analyses what went wrong in the 2 early goals conceded
  4. Disagree with that. I agree with the part where the public bashes Luiz but that's no reason to say he's a good defender. the reason for the public bashing on luiz is that his mistakes are obvious to the naked eye. i don't agree with the public opinion of luiz but i certainly don't agree that he is a great defender. looking at luiz objectively, he improved considerably at the back end of last season and had continued in the same way this season but he has made a fair few mistakes this season. weird tendecies to play Hollywood passes and also to drop very deep to a "blocking" position. you can't say he is a good defender based on the fact that RDM prefers Luiz or that the public marks him. as @CHOULO19, mentioned, Cahill's mistakes are less apparent. cahill is often caught on the counter and also has the tendency to back away as in the case of the first United goal where he didnt dare challenge Young for the ball. what we have to accept is that our defenders are no beasts. they are nowhere near the best in the world. Luiz has a better potential but it has been around 2 years since he arrived and he still doesn't look reliable. you can't make a case for Luiz being better than Cahill or that he will turn into a world class defender. both luiz and cahill are Good defenders but i fully expect the club to sign a new CB once Terry hangs up his boots
  5. f*****g hate how all the reports read "Chelsea claim" "Chelsea allege" etc. did anyone read a report where it read - "Anton claims"? no, they dived straight into Terry last time and vilified him
  6. TorontoChelsea seems to be a popular choice, so I will go for Muzchap
  7. terry can't handle the pace of di santo now. let alone rooney, tevez etc. tactically he is the best but his physical limitations are overwhelming now cahill's tactical errors could also be a result of shortened gametime. he hasn't played much .. only 4 games in the league. i would go for cahill-terry rather than luiz-terry
  8. true. Cahill is not a beast of a defender but sadly he's the best in the squad right now. terry is getting old and his movement has reduced considerably while luiz gets flustered when the heat is on him. goes braindead. it's happened far too many times now. every time we think he'll improve and he plays a few good games against qpr, stoke etc but then when we face mancity, arsenal or manunited again, he is bypassed easily. cahill's errors on the other hand are not closing his attacker down. he is easily turned and doesn't have good organisation and positioning like JT. but he is the better defender among the 3. quick, calm, strong(ish) and reliable
  9. nah. they don't work well together is what i meant. one goes after the ball (luiz) and cahill prefers backing away. i mean they look disoriented in defence
  10. poor game in the second half but it was always everton doing something with the ball not liverpool. shame mirallas had to come off.
  11. nah. hazard played in a low fizzing cross and yet he didn't have anybody in support. plus mata, oscar have excellent control of the ball eventhough their aerial ability is next to null. we need to pressurise the opposition defence more. otherwise we did everything else well yesterday - attack i mean
  12. our problem is when our primary tactic doesn't work we don't really have a backup game plan. when our movement and passing is not getting us behind the opposition defence we are stuck. before we would lump it up to drogba, he would knock it down and we would power through. we no longer have that option
  13. One thing we do lack is a proper PLAN B Manchester United - unbelievable firepower up front now with Chicharito, Welbeck, Nani warming the bench Manchester City - Edin Dzeko. proper Plan B execution at The Hawthornes where 10-men ManCity came back to win with Dzeko's goals. counter Tottenham - Emmanuel Adebayor - hasn't fired yet but a good target man option when they have to throw the kitchen sink at the opposition Chelsea lack a Plan B when our system doesn't work. this will only hurt us in the title race. hopefully it is remedied in January either by getting Lukaku back or signing a new striker.
  14. true. defence crumbled once united got into that space between the defence and midfield. between luiz going after the ball and cahill backing off away from it, we conceded 2 goals
  15. doesn't help when he's got a ticking time-bomb for a partner in defence
  16. u saw cahill reacting like that? nah. the captain should be more responsible than that. that was a needless foul near the touchline and the reaction was unnecessary. the only plus point was passion and he got carried away yesterday. i have nothing else to say. the evidence is damning
  17. F*** THIS SHIT. F*** MANURE. F*** CLATTENBURG. F*** THE FA. F*** ALL Had to get it out of my system
  18. ref had a shocker. i hope the racism allegations are true and Clattenburg is relegated to Blue Square Premier League. still seething
  19. 1. charged from the defence and got turned by van persie 2. charged from the defence and united sprayed the ball wide and and got it into the box with luiz still trying to get back 3. bad position for the own goal. almost as if he was standing so deep to block the shot 4. horrible long balls early on in the game + the needless push on rvp after the red cards. i'd have loved to have depth in the CB department.
  20. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Manchester-City-claim-ref-Mark-Clattenburg-was-gunning-for-Craig-Bellamy-article255615.html In December 2009, Clattenburg took charge of a tie between Bolton Wanderers and Manchester City. City personnel alleged that at half-time, Clattenburg asked members of their bench: "How do you work with Craig Bellamy all week?" In the second half that followed, he booked Bellamy twice, once for dissent and then for diving, although replays suggested he was actually fouled.
  21. his passion is his undoing. clearly caught up in the heat of the game yesterday. his frustration showed in the fouls he committed. not captain material
  22. Yesterday was evidence of the fact that Luiz is not captain material. watch his frustrated push on van persie after the red cards. needs to keep his head together. plus his defending was pathetic. headless chicken
