  1. i expect we sign a striker in january. the title charge won't last with only torres and sturridge as our forwards
  2. our attackers don't attack the ball when someone crosses. united swarm the penalty area when valencia is drilling a cross in but chelsea had only torres lurking in the area when hazard crossed in. our players need to attack the ball and give the opposition defence something to think about
  3. @Shogun, Everton were brilliant. unlucky to not get the win. Chelsea were onto something similar before Clattenburg happened
  4. i hope clattenburg is relegated to the championship Welsh Premier League
  5. i'll look past the absolute disgrace the game turned out to be and analyse the game now. the horror start - united swarmed us and david luiz was again a headless chicken in a big game. pathetic decision making and was beaten 4-5 times in the first 20 mins. unquestionably our worst defender and not captain material if you look at his frustrated push on RVP later in the game. united gave us a lesson in counter attacking and off the ball movement. notice how when valencia crossed there were atleast 4 red shirts in the area and when hazard crossed at the other end there was only torres and even he didn't attack the ball. but then, i was proud of the team. brilliant stuff to claw our way back before Clattenburg took over. unrelenting pressure on united's goal and forced de gea into a number of saves before Mata's glorious freekick. this chelsea side is not just style but has the character and substance that helped us become Champions of Europe last season. I am sure now that we will win silverware this year.the team is brilliant and united's luck in the chelsea and liverpool games will even itself out over the season. no point moaning about clattenburg. We all know which was the better team yesterday
  6. yeah. seeing as they are dumping balls in for fellaini. an extra man to attack and challenge the ball will improve their chances.
  7. yeah but Liverpool playing 3 cb's doesn't help
  8. reminded me of drogba humiliating benitez in the CL by celebrating in front of him after benitez' comments about his diving although this turned out humiliating for Suarez rather than Moyes
  9. Yeah but took it too far today. disgraceful celebration. it was an own goal as well!
  10. talented player but an outright cunt. no point feeling sorry for him
  11. GET IN!!!!!!!!!!!! F*** LIVERPOOL. F*** THE RED CUNTS! COME ON EVERTON!
  12. everton always somehow screw up the merseyside derby. whether it be a distin backpass or a gerrard hat-trick. i don't know why they shoot themselves in the foot in the derby
  13. 2010-11 jersey though. A friend bought it in the UK a year ago but couldn't give it to me. on the bright side, the Champions badge is there
  14. Saturday early kick-off is at 5pm here. not exactly a good time to be home and watching footy plus the fact that a loss would ruin the whole weekend
  15. very differnt from cahill as well. alex was a beast. cahill's other con is he can be shrugged off as he is not exactly huge. alex on the other hand was a tank
  16. goals conceded while on pitch is hardly fair. it depends on the opponents, the situation etc. cahill was not at fault if cech mishandled guthrie's freekick. cahill was not at fault when luiz was blindsided by lennon's cross, as far as i remember the only goal you can hold against cahill is the pogrebnyak header. apart from that he has been solid and i fail to see how luiz is "better" than cahill. that is not adequately backed up. luiz has started more games but defending tottenham is different from defending qpr or stoke. luiz was tested in the games against tottenham and arsenal and both games he was flustered and gave away cheap goals. i'm not saying luiz is bad. he has improved a lot. but i don't see how he is better than cahill
  17. going forward he's doing well, but he has struggled in defence. Moses, McAnuff etc turned him inside out with ease. his main problem is that when play is forced wide, he doesn't try and block the cross. instead hangs back in the penalty area instead of going at the winger and blocking it.
  18. true. cahill is a good defender but no Ricardo Carvalho. ricky's reading of the game was impeccable
  19. he's not superb, i'll give you that. but he's easily the best defender at the club now. him and maybe Cole have been consistent since the start of the season. just because he was at Bolton doesn't mean he's not great. just because he doesn't figure in the discussion of "best defender in the world" doesn't mean he is not a good defender. he is no-nonsense in his approach and reads the game well. "more exposed to counter attacks, opponents with skills can easily pass through him"is a generic excuse to underrate him. actually the same criticism is more suited to luiz and terry. terry has trouble handling franco di santo now and luiz gets clumsy around tricky players. he gets drawn in and players like suarez (see below) get past him with ease. He has struggled to defend against Suarez, hernandez, lavezzi. gary cahill on the other hand was excellent against Bale last season when he had to cover for Bosingwa struggling on the right. i'd say overrated defenders in our squad are terry, luiz and ivanovic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aIMPrUJ81w
  20. Bertrand was played in the wide mid position - the left side of the 3 AM's. don't think he's in for a CM role. has to wait for his chance at LB i think. Mikel, Ramires, Romeu and Oscar are over CM options now
  21. yeah. this throws off our hectic december schedule. thankfully the game in hand after the CWC will be Southampton. so i think we can manage
  22. the growing consensus is that torres is just a waste of space at chelsea. well, unless he does something spectacular tomorrow, i'd say time's running out for him. if he doesn't kick start his chelsea career now, he never will
