john obi mikel - u r a f***in CDM you are supposed to transition our attacks. not sit back and be the 3rd CB
-
should sustain pressure. we are playing like a mid-table club now. Mikel has seen the game fly-by around him. has done f*** to stop wigan midfield. Oscar for Mikel and control the game please
-
exactly. can't believe people are having a go at rdm before the season has even begun. he doesn't have fuckin options as well. sturridge doesn't count. he doesn't want to play there and is a shite crosser. bertrand was the best option once ramires was injured
-
probably because its wigan away and because he is short of options. i wouldn't play malouda and i think sturridge is being kept on the bench to be brought on as ST also i dont know how much the defensive winger argument holds though. united have valencia while city dont necessarily play wingers but do play yaya toure and de jong or barry who are defensive midfielders. barca and real may not care but remember 1. they are in the la liga and 2. they are much better than us
-
i see u didnt count the super cup. anyway, there are 3 games this week. i would rest him. he has barely had time to rest
-
mata maybe rested for the start of the season according to di matteo. oscar debut looks imminent atleast from the bench after meireles plays his farewell game for Chelsea i hope
-
"LoopyLatic" anyway, i think we have to be wary of the 3-4-3 today. if they overpower our double pivot, we are in big trouble
-
to be fair, they looked good and created enough chances. cathorla was great in the middle going forward but they need a genuine finisher and CDM now. Yann M'Vila and Edin Dzeko spring to mind. if they get them or players of their level, they will get 4th easy
-
chelsea on the opening day - lukaku looked pro while he ripped apart hopeless liverpoop - steve clarke will do well at albion. yacob was a smart signing and a front three of brunt lukaku odemwingie is dangerous - borini made a bad choice - joe cole's career maybe coming to an end - damien duff's still got it - scott sinclair need not leave swansea - good to see sidwell is still playing in the top flight
-
we need a striker because we have only 2 first choice strikers now - torres and sturridge. if both are injured, i think rdm will play piazon up front but i think he would rather play behind the striker. also, with 3 strikers, it gives us the chance to rotate for capital one cup, fa cup, ucl etc.
-
Wigan fans say Moses has very little intelligence on the pitch. even the guy who did the opposition views mentioned that. otherwise he seems a good pacy winger Ayew, Damiao and Remy are good options given how pricy Lewnadowski, Cavani and Hulk seem to be Azpi is done i guess and i agree we need a CM but that wont happen without selling few. would like to see us sign Moutinho or someone but it probably wont happen
-
Reus wouldn't give depth up front. we were priced out of jovetic. another player mentioned is Hulk. he provides directness and power to our attack but i would no way in hell pay anywhere remotely close to 40 million for him. we are short of options and schurrle at 20 is a good deal imo. but knowing chelsea we will probably sign moses and be done with it
-
seems weird - the start of this season.. not really much enthusiasm after the olympics.
-
depth in wing with about 60 games this season. powerful striker if torres flops. better suited to the team we are building. and last but not the least, more germans
-
Schurrle and Azpi for me. Fuck Hulk, Moses and Modric
-
the heat is on di matteo for the next few months. he has to get the team to gel and put points on the board. united and city look far ahead of us atm
-
we will have to wait and see the new signings we will make in the next fortnight and also see how sturridge and oscar fit into the system but yeah, as of now 4-3-3 seems better than 4-2-3-1 inspite of the dreadful performance against Brighton We had no passer at Brighton and Hazard was cutting infield way too much. There was good pressure in Brighton's half and if we replaced Ramires with Marin and Meireles with Mata, the 4-3-3 will be much better
-
nope. not for the wigan game. too early for him. he should start by rotating with lampard and ultimately replacing lampard. lampard should do a "Scholes" this season and accept that regular football is not a given
-
"Oh Of course you would do that Drogba"
-
then Ramires is not good enough to be in the team. he runs into blind alleys as a winger
-
Cech Ivanovic Cahill/Luiz Terry Cole Ramires Lampard Marin Mata Hazard Torres Bench: Turnbull, Luiz, Bertrand, Mikel, Essien, Benayoun, Sturridge, this is the team we have to start putting out. the flair players in the team need to be behind torres and ramires should move back to the pivot. I have put Lampard there just because di Matteo won't drop him. Imo, Lampard is still good but not World Class anymore.
-
looking at ivanovic right now....no. i am not. of course rdm wont change now and yeah ivanovic will mostly get back to his usual self but if he keeps this up, then the new signing (if there is any) has an opportunity to make the right back slot his own ivanovic has been good since his chelsea debut but his time here has been riddled with such mistakes. maybe not as much as luiz at the start of his chelsea career but certainly branna has not taken legendary status at chelsea.
-
yeah hopefully that's the case. and also with 3 good cb's at the club, he can concentrate solely on the right back slot and thus get back to his best
-
the question is, if cesar azpilicueta is eventually signed, does he replace branna? unless ivanovic improves, i think it's gonna be azpi at right back for us this season
-
Bingo but Ramires instead of Mikel in midfield. its time to go dynamic. Mikel and Essien to be brought on when we want to hold onto a lead, not when we want to breakdown a stubborn defence
