All down to Conte's intense training regime. Christensen picked up a hamstring injury (the 7th hamstring problem suffered by a first team player this season) and arguably the main reason why we have looked so flat in most games this season.

Decent against big teams. Rubbish against small teams.

For someone who prides himself on winning, Conte is sure doing a bad job at finding solutions to our problems and making tactical adjustments to ensure we get the win. You can practically copy and paste the general comment on the team's performance from one match to another. It's always the same. Flat, uninspiring and clueless most of the time.

You know, given how we've played for most of this season, not even surprised this has happened. Not even a fucking 3-0 loss to Bournemouth at HOME. We are essentially a rudderless, clueless and spineless team.

Urgh! Don't think I'll be able to watch the match.

I used to believe that at some point, Arsenal will become a force again under Wenger because they surely can't be stuck in mediocrity for so long? Turns that I was wrong because they are still stuck in mediocrity. Unless they sack Wenger and bring in a new manager, I'm sure next season will be the same story for Arsenal again - will look good in matches here and there but ultimately suffer failure over the course of the season. That won't be a concern. Each of the first 4 nations in the UEFA Country Coefficient get 4 automatic spots into the group stage and England currently sit 2nd in that ranking. So, even if we finish 4th, we'll still go straight into the group stage.

Whether Palmieri is gonna be better or worse than Alonso remains to be seen, but I can't understand why people continuously describe Alonso like he's a world beater. Sure, he has scored a number of goals since joining us and some of them have been key to us winning but if we put them aside, what does he contribute? For someone who plays in a key position in the 3-5-2 or 3-4-3, his general contribution in open play is non existent. Can't win 1-on-1s because of his snail pace, link up play is average, hardly provides telling passes in final third when given the chance to do so. Has only 6 assists in 68 games for the club. Even Azpi has matched that number in the league alone this season! Not to mention, Alonso is hardly the most solid defenders around either. Can be caught napping at times and will definitely lose any foot race if he's being forced into one.
