We may have lost to 2 stupid deflected goals but Conte really made some stupid decisions tonight: 1. Why bring Barkley on for Willian when he hasn't played for 6-7 months? Did his best tonight but looked a little lost. Why not just bring Batshuayi on? 2. Wenger may have switched his formation in the second half but why oh why, did we switch to 3-5-2? Think that system has worked only against Atletico this season and it's been awful otherwise. 3. Why did we stick with the back 3/5 all the way till the end? Doesn't even matter if we lose 2-1 or 3-1 since we were already losing at that point! 4. Why the hell did Conte, again, bring a RWB for a RWB? (Benitez would be so proud of that!) Were already 2-1 down by then. Why not bring Bats on for Moses instead and put Pedro to WB or something? I remember Conte used to be flexible with his formation in games last season. This season, he has stubbornly persisted with the same formation. It's always 3-4-3 or 3-5-2. Why not play with a back 4 when we're chasing games?

I swear some just like to moan for the sake of moaning. Barkley just came back from injury and hasn't played a single competitive game all season and you expect Conte to start him in one of the biggest games of the season? If Conte started him and he performed badly, you would be sitting here complaining about why did Conte start an unfit player!

More conflicting reports... Standard said we are ready to relax the 1-year-old for 30 y/o+ policy but Matt Law said the age is still an issue.

Would rather the club make the decision on the contract length on case to case basis as opposed to imposing the strict '1 year contract for 30-year-old+'.

Let's not pretend as if world class players don't go through some kind of lean spells. They are all human, not robot. Not to say Morata hasn't been guilty of some nonsense so far in his time here but at the same time, there are also factors as to why his form has dipped after a bright start. But if you're so insistent on branding Morata as useless or another Torres, then be my guest.

My point is, Morata started well and people praised him to the heavens. But after a couple of bad games, people just wrote him off and in some cases, even abused him. With some of the positive comments about Dzeko here, it will not be a surprise to see people take the same route after a few bad games.

Best scenario would probably be 2 1/2 years with an option to extend. In any case, this stupid policy is really a proof that the board is running like the club like a business. Why is age the main factor in whether we keep a player or not? If a player is still capable of contributing, we should be keeping him. If he's not, then sell him.

It's like as if they just discovered he's over 30!
