Does anyone even take Wilkins seriously? Not only him though. Those idiotic pundits on ESPN FC spent a good 10 minutes moaning about Conte's decision to go with the false 9. Steve Nicol said we were lucky that it worked against Barcelona and Craig Burley even said Pedro was ineffective! Not one word about the performance from us or even Barcelona's pathetic showing.

Have I been seeing things? First, MrExcalibur praised Conte and now you too? Only need Styles to do the same to complete the hat-trick!
-
WE BETTER NOT FUCKING LOSE THIS!
-
Not sure if was just the occasion but the Conte we saw on the touchline tonight was more like the Conte of old. Very animated and was hugely 'involved' in the game.
-
When did we park the bus? It was just one of those spells where Barcelona bossed the possession and ultimately did nothing with it. Same thing happened in the first half. We had counter attacking chances after going 1-0 up and should have punished them but didn't.

Coutinho is just a long range shooter merchant.
-
It's not necessarily overly WOW but Willian is arguably in the best form of his life ever since joining us.
-
He's been picking far too many stupid yellow cards this season. Almost as if he's trying to get himself sent off!
-
Don't want to be harsh on the lad given he's been solid but he's made some costly errors in the Champions League this season. Tonight is one and the home game against Roma is another.
-
That is true but even with them, still think Barcelona are average in general with their play. They are still relatively successful because they have Messi but their overall quality has dipped a lot since the Guardiola days.

Haven't watched much of Barcelona this season but based on this game, how on earth have they lost only once all season? Unimaginative in possession, everything was going through Messi and so many aging as well as slow players in the side. Not beating them tonight is a big opportunity missed.
-
Indeed. He's been solid for most of the season but has made some costly errors in the Champions League - the home game vs Roma comes to mind.
-
If you need something to sum up the game, it's Conte's reaction to Messi's goal. Worked hard and restricted Barcelona all game. Made one stupid mistake (CHRISTENSEN! ) and it's all gone to pots. Was important not to lose but the 1-1 is a shit result. Better off with 0-0 than a score draw. Likely have to score at least two goals at the Camp Nou to win the tie now.
-
I didn't either and I thought it was just Matt Law writing rubbish but Guardian also reported that Conte might go with the false 9. So there may be some truth to it.
-
You've got to be fucking kidding me! We have 2 strikers fit and healthy and Conte wants to play the false 9 again? What is he trying to get at? For an Italian, he sure seems to be taking this approach far too often. Even Guardiola doesn't do it as much with City!

Players do miss chances but last thing we want in a game like this is to see Morata has another nightmare in front a goal like he did at Arsenal!
-
To those wanting Morata to start ahead of Giroud because the former has more pace, worth remembering that we played a 34-year-old Drogba against Barcelona in 2012. Drogba wasn't exactly quick at that age but his holdup play was crucial. Giroud's could be key here to help us alleviate pressure and even win cheap fouls for us launch balls into their box.

Agree but doesn't it also unsettles the club, the team when your main player is thinking about leaving? It all feels so contradicting.

There's always either "we'll see", "for now" or "at the moment" when Hazard talks about his future. If he intends to go, he should just say so.
