Conte has got some questions to answer. Another hamstring injury apparently and that's the EIGHTH one this season!

I never said Batshuayi was treated fairly or unfairly by Conte. But since you brought this up, Bats never gave Conte any reason to play him for consecutive games.

How convenient. His goals/game ratio is decent but his all round play is generally awful. If you look back at the last 10-15 pages of this thread, the one conclusion that screams out is 'inconsistency'. You might disagree with Conte not trusting him but at the same time, it's also difficult to blame Conte for wanting someone who can do more on a consistent basis.

"I asked for this type of player with his characteristic from the club. The club gave me this opportunity" Giroud obviously wasn't his first choice target but Conte wanted a target man and got one. But hey ho, let's continue to criticize Conte for not utilizing Batshuayi more and at the same time, criticize the board for not backing Conte...

People's reaction to Batshuayi here is as predictable as our performances this season. Typical.

It was Conte who favoured a CF that hasn't looked like scoring in his last 10 games (unable to score with his feet almost all season). This favouritism nonsense is something I despise. So we are going to pretend like Batshuayi is great but Conte has been ignoring him? Are people really gonna pretend like we all didn't, at one point or another in the last 18 months, mention something along the lines of 'And that's why Conte doesn't trust Batshuayi!'? All so easy to criticize Conte now because of his weak position. Also, when Batshuayi got injured earlier in the season, no one said a thing. No one was worried. No one was panicking. Was a stark contrast to when Morata got injured. Now, people behaving like they've been behind Batshuayi all this time and acting like he's a great striker that the manager just didn't trust.

Really like how people suddenly act like they haven't spent the last 18 months or so criticizing Batshuayi.

Bloody thrilled to sit here and see people bang the 'WHY DID WE LOAN HIM FFS?!' drum for the next few months...

4th or 10th, it doesn't matter. Results have been poor of late - only 2 wins in 2018 and 1 of them was in the FA Cup and we're danger of dropping out of the top 4 if this continues. For him to say that smacks of arrogance. He's basically diverting the entire blame to someone else. Why not just admit his mistakes and take responsibility for our problems? Is the squad really playing to its maximum capability like he claimed? Don't think many fans, if any at all, will agree with that.

I know it's easy to say this now but one of my main concerns when we got Conte was his lack of tactical flexibility. After the formation switch last season, I thought that concern was unfounded. Turns out that I was right to have that concern to begin with. Has consistently stuck with the back 3 this season, even when it's clear that it's not working and when we are chasing games! No change to a 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2. It's always just 3-5-2 or 3-4-3. No wonder we have become so predictable to watch, as predictable as us giving the ball to Ivanovic and watching him put aimless ball into the box under Mourinho.

He even said we're overachieving! I know we don't have a squad like City's but bloody hell. He's seriously asking to be sacked TBH. It's one defeatist comment after another.
