  1. Yeah but would have scored more had his finishing been better!
  2. Oh puhleeze. That was just one of Kalou's many ridiculous misses. And you know it!
  3. Should he accept the charges by tomorrow(I think), he will then miss games against: Arsenal(A) Norwich(H) Tottenham(A) Man United(H) If he decides to appeal(thus postponing the ban) and still found guilty(!), then he will miss games against: Norwich(H) Tottenham(A) Man United(H) Man United(H - League Cup) Not much of a difference there. And there are 2 CL matches in between - Nordsjaelland(A) and Shakhtar(A). Likely to play in both.
  4. 8 years?! EIGHT YEARS?!! :fainthv9: A bit over the top? Think that is WAY over the top! Crazy. Just pure crazy from Newcastle!
  5. Ok fellas, lets not derail the thread here. Wanna have a date? Go to the pub.
  6. Want to see us win this cup since we haven't won it for a long long time but yeah, it's definitely more crucial to win the league game. And agree with the Fergie part. United have to play Arsenal just days after this league cup meeting. Likely to rest some senior players.
  7. Same here. Zeman's Roma tends to play an open game which leads to plenty of goals conceded.
  8. Have merged the two threads together since it's related to this game. No need for another extra thread.
  9. This weekend: Juventus v Roma (Zeman!) Sampdoria v Napoli (3rd v 2nd) Inter Milan v Fiorentina (A side who's looking to their San Siro hoodoo against an improving Fiorentina side this season) Feisty!
  10. Our fixtures in October after the international break: 20th October - Tottenham(A) 23rd October - Shakhar Donetsk(A) 28th October - Man United(H) 30/31 October - Man United(H) As if the fixtures weren't tough enough...
  11. Seriously not the draw that I wanted but least we're home. Small consolation. Anyway, we will be playing Man United twice in 3/4 days in October: Oct 28 Chelsea v Man United (EPL) Oct 30/31 Chelsea v Man United (LC)
  12. Arsenal ran out 6-1 winners against Coventry in the end. Giroud, AOC, Walcott(x2), Arshavin and Miquel with the goals.
  13. Well, Torres is a very fragile glass you know...
  14. Giroud has broke his duck for Arsenal. Scored to put Arsenal 1-0 up but then missed a penalty. No matter though as AOC has made it 2-0 to Arsenal.
  15. Think Marin may have just done the team talk for Wenger this Saturday... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8112063/Marko-Marin-believes-Chelsea-can-win-the-Premier-League-and-retain-the-Champions-League
  16. Still not happy with Torres but gotta love their timing of publishing such BS story the night after he scores. They're obviously trying to destroy whatever confidence he might have gained from last night.
  17. Happy with his performance yesterday. He shown his qualities once again. Was strong in his challenge. Tidy on the ball. Kept the passing quick & simple by releasing the ball in 2-3 seconds after receiving it.
  18. Very impressed from what I saw having watched the replay earlier. Was energetic and pacey. Bombed up & down the right flank all night long. Very promising going forward & defensively solid too. What I really like about Azpi is his crossing. Delivered numerous good crosses into the box & certainly does it better & quicker than Ivan! Ivanovic sometimes takes ages to put in the cross whereas Azpilicueta does it way quicker & allows someone a better chance to attack it. And strangely enough & for whatever reason, I like how Cahill & Azpi covered each other towards the end when Nouble had a free run on the left. Azpi was caught slightly out of position when the ball was played into the space behind him to Nouble. Rather than trying to chase him down, Cahill went across to cover for Azpi while the latter went to CB to cover for Cahill. Good bit of defensive play that!
  19. Eh? Are you sure? Haven't seen anything regarding it on Twitter. Did you confuse between him and Rohan Ince?
  20. Quite pleased from what I've seen from him so far. Been influential in the game he has played for us. One thing I would like to see is him getting on the ball a little bit more. That way, we would really get to see what he can do with it over a consistent period of time. One negative aspect of him right now is he seems to go down rather easily at times and he basically dived to get the penalty last night.
  21. That. Anyone who believes what Harry Harris writes seriously needs a brain check.
