  1. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2211475/Manchester-United-Chelsea-want-Lucas-Digne.html?ito=feeds-newsxml I know it's from the Daily Mail and because of the Cole's contract situation, this may look like a silly rumour but it has been making some noise in recent times. Have only watched him like 2-3 times and he looks decent. And IF Cole leaves the club next summer, then Digne might just be the perfect LB to get in to work alongside Bertrand though I'm not sure it's good having 2 LBs where there is not much difference in the age gap as both will want to play in every game to develop themselves further. Thoughts?
  2. Can certainly forget about that. While we are in Denmark, the U21s are on their way to Russia.
  3. They received 8 yellow cards actually. Gonna get fined for that alright. As for QPR, they stay bottom of the league and it's their worst start to the league season!
  4. OMG! That is really really creepy! Thanks for giving me nightmares already!!
  5. Quit it you two especially you @Solonapoli! Last warning. One more insult and you're getting a permanent ban!
  6. Google translate says they are...
  7. QPR have been abysmal. Made West Ham looked better than they are.
  8. Shakhtar Donetsk mate. Shakhtar Donetsk!!
  9. According to Chelsea TV, Luiz will be available for this game while Sturridge is still out injured.
  10. That's 3 points guaranteed for United then...
  11. Here's a couple of information on tomorrow's referee: 1. Croatian referee - Marijo Strahonja - will officiate the Nordsjaelland v Chelsea game tomorrow. 2. Marijo Strahonja has previously only officiated 1 Champions League group stage game - Man United's 2-0 home win vs Otelul Galati last season. 3. However, Strahonja has officiated a Champions League game this season - FC Copenhagen's 1-0 home win over Lille in the play-off round. 4. Strahonja has also officiated a game involving Nordsjaelland before when Sporting Lisbon defeated the Danes 2-1 in the Europa League 3rd qualifying round back in Aug 10.
  12. Have edited the first post due to the small size text. Cleared the formatting and it should be easier to read. On the subject, well, as you pointed out, the fact that we have already gained 8 more points against Wigan, Arsenal, Newcastle & QPR this season than last is already a positive thing. We need to continue doing that and beat the lesser sides which we failed to do for most parts last season. Moreover, the players that we have bought and the style of play we want to change to makes it all the more promising and exciting. Apart from 1-2 games this season, we haven't played badly at all but yet are still winning games. Just imagine when we start clicking into gear.
  13. No, not just him. Hazard should be taking them too. Have yet to really him taking one, the free kicks that is facing the opposition's goal. Everytime when we get a free kick like that, it's always Luiz who steps up to take it. It's incredibly annoying because with Luiz taking those free kicks, it always feel like more of a hopeful shot than anything else. Doesn't seem to have much technique, accuracy and purpose in it.
  14. Forgot to mention this after Saturday. Luiz really needs to stop taking free kicks. He's so poor at it that more often than not, it always go over the bar and way way off target! :banghead:
  15. Exactly. We made a mess of that group under Scolari and only narrowly squeezed past Cluj 2-1 in a nervy last game in the group stage. TBF, we had already qualified & guaranteed to finish top by that time we played APOEL at home in the last game. Carlo rested lots of players for that game and we should have won the game after coming from behind to take a 2-1 lead but a poor mistake by Mikel(IIRC) led to APOEL's equalizer. And on hindsight perhaps, this was the game where Essien played and suffered the serious injury that ultimately dealt the final blow and made him the average player he is today. Thanks a lot Carlo!
  16. Agree. Had he delivered in that ball a split second or two earlier, we might have made something out of it.
  17. Even APOEL caused us plenty of problems when we played them in Cyprus in 2009. We just narrowly edged past them on that day.
  18. Just glad that the club is not managed by some people here.
  19. Atletico Madrid is sure doing very well at the moment. 5 wins and a draw from the first 6 games see them sit just 2 points behind Barcelona.
  20. So, both Inter and Milan have ended their San Siro jinx this season. Good win for Inter too against Fiorentina. This coming weekend on Sunday would be the Milan derby, same day as the El Clasico!
  21. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2210556/Gary-Neville-Arsenal-Chelsea-separated-belief.html Decent piece by Gary Neville on the game.
  22. Never mind. It's 1-1 now. Ronaldo scored from the spot. HT and Madrid lead 3-1. Two goals from Ronaldo and one from Di Maria.
