I don't think Cahill lacks place. Certainly quicker than Ivanovic and Terry and possibly as quick as Luiz. You only have to look at how quickly he recovered to clear Adebayor's shot off the line in the home 0-0 draw against Spurs last season, after he failed with the offside trap. And if you remember, he managed to stay toe-to-toe with N'Gog in a foot race in the first half of the game where we beat Bolton 3-0 at home.

cap, why is it you just can't give the credit to the opposition sometimes for beating us? It's like you have to come out with stupid excuses like that every single time to make yourself feel better about the way we played! Yes, our poor performances certainly helped them but the fact is, had their players not carried out Simeone's plan 100%, Falcao wouldn't be able to perform the way he did. He wouldn't have seen lots of the ball to create anything and score the goals had it not for his teammates movement etc.

Agree with that. Hope he is given the chance to show what he is all about. We might have a real gem of striker in Bamford here and if he comes good, we don't have to go spend big on a ST in the future.
