  1. Agree. Would like us to win this considering that we are at home but it won't be a disaster if we draw on Sunday though that would mean City closing the gap on us to 2 points as they are likely to beat Swansea at home. Would have taken 4 points from the Spurs and this United game prior to last weekend. Did you expect anything new from Fergie? Most managers are often biased towards their own side but some of them can still be at least objective and impartial at times. Not Fergie though. He has complained about the Drogba's offside goal at Old Trafford from 3 seasons ago but conveniently turned a blind eye on Macheda's handball goal in the same game. Hypocrisy at its best!
  2. 27 this year. One option we should look at is Lewandowski. Good in the air, links up play well and has a good finishing though he can still improve in that department. Has 2 years left in his Dortmund contract and is only 24 too.
  3. This is what Fergie said in his press conference... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/oct/26/sir-alex-ferguson-chelsea-midfield
  4. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2223252/Juan-Mata-profile--choirboy-learned-boggy-pitches.html A nice little profile article on the Juan and only Mata.
  5. HA! This week, Mark Lawrenson predicts United to beat us and keep a clean sheet! 1-0 is his prediction. EDIT: And oh, no Kagawa for this one.
  6. Indeed. Guess we might see more of Romeu and possibly Moses/Marin with Oscar moving to the double pivot to make up the numbers.
  7. You quoted the wrong person mate. That point was made by Reddish-Blue.
  8. Couple of stats to throw in... 1. Chelsea are unbeaten against Manchester United in the last 10 Premier League meetings at Stamford Bridge - W6 D4. 2. However, Manchester United won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in the 2010/11 Champions League first leg quarter final tie, just two visits ago. 3. Chelsea have won just ONCE in the last seven clashes against Manchester United in all competitions(Premier League + Champions League + Community Shield) - W1 D1 L5. The referee for this game will be Mark Clattenburg and... 4. Chelsea have a 100% record whenever Mark Clattenburg has officiated a Premier League match at Stamford Bridge - P8 W8.
  9. A couple of Champions League stats to throw in... 1. Chelsea's overall record in the Champions League - P115 W58 D32 L25. 2. Chelsea's Champions League record at Stamford Bridge - P57 W36 D16 L5. In group stage - P34 D24 D8 L2. In KO stage - W23 D8 L3. 3. Chelsea's AWAY record in the Champions League - P58 W22 D16 L20. In group stage - P35 W16 D10 L9. In KO stage - P23 W6 D6 L11.
  10. Not surprised by that high 'Dispossessed' stat when he thinks he is Messi trying to dribble past 2-3 players more often than not.
  11. Can't believe people are reading so much into that pile of garbage. Here's why!
  12. Should change your username to 'uncle.milan.cech'.
  13. Enough talks about Falcon. Stay on topic. This is the Falcao thread, not Falcon.
  14. What's wrong with using that game to see how he fares against a PL opposition? Though he may have played well in the Champions League before but those games were against Zilina and a dead rubber against Marseille. Furthermore, he hardly got to play consistently in the Premier League last season with Swansea but now he is playing week in week out for Boro in the Championship and coming up against different level of opposition suddenly will be a good test for him, assuming if he plays. Adding to that, this is local derby game, where the atmosphere and intensity of the game will be high thus making it interesting to see how he copes with it.
  15. Champions League matches are over for now and it's back to theories for tomorrow.
  16. Middlesbrough face Sunderland in the North-East derby next week in the League Cup. Hope he features as it would be interesting to see how he fares against a Premier League oppositon.
  17. Can only hope so. Cannot let the result yesterday turned our recent run of form into a poor one.
  18. Would be madness if Bayern don't top that group.
  19. That was a slight tongue-in-cheek comment. Main point was that in previous weeks, people were shouting from the rooftop and thinking we're just gonna walk over the teams before us. Then came that defeat at Shakhtar and suddenly people seem to have pulled back a bit.
  20. Seems that the mood here have been slightly cautious compared to previous weeks. I wonder why...
  21. Nice to laugh at Arsenal and Man City but would still have liked us to win yesterday and sit comfortably at the top of our group.
  22. Another excellent result for Malaga. Played 3. Won 3. Scored 7. Conceded 0. Have 9 points. Perfect.
