Mourinho: Lampard and Terry were fanatical for victories, young players now want to be rich before they've even kicked a ball

Chelsea report loss of £49.4m for the financial year

That's a sackable offence! -
When you hear such things, sometimes it does make you wonder if the people at Liverpool (club, not the place obviously) are really delusional. More often than not, the things they say are just utter crap and forever playing the 'victim' and 'never their fault' card.

I don't disagree with your point because one also do wonder whether Schurrle, if played as a ST, can hold up the play and play others in which is something crucial in this team that we have. At the moment, do think Schurrle will be suited upfront when we are playing purely on the counter attack by us and have lots of space to break into (e.g. the league game against Man City at the Etihad last month) be it running between the CBs and/or into the channels. It still would be an interesting experiment to play Schurrle as a ST though.

Here we go again... Barcelona to bid £25m for Chelsea's David Luiz now that Carles Puyol is on his way

True, supposed Ivanovic will have more competition now but won't be surprised if he wins it again.

Precisely. It would be quite incredible if every Arsenal player there actually thought that was a 100% penalty especially when it was obvious that the linesman didn't even give anything and them not even protest their innocence. It just seem their mindset and body language were all wrong on Saturday. Alan Hansen (IIRC) on MOTD highlighted that the Arsenal players were constantly seen putting their hands up and moaning whenever Stoke put in a challenge onto them. It's a cliche and stating the obvious at this point but if you're gonna do that at places like Stoke, then it just goes to show how weak you are and reinforce the belief of people that you can't handle the physical and rough play, like in the case with Arsenal and teams will only do it even more against them. Can't expect to go to Stoke and not match them for their physicality, strength, aggressiveness etc if you want to get a result and it's no wonder out of all the teams, Arsenal seem to struggle there the most, never mind just the big teams.

Jokes aside though, hope Hazard plays as little minutes as possible. We do not want somebody like Yaya Toure, assuming if he's playing, to go around and kicking the lumps out of him. Similar with Mata in the last 2 seasons, we can't afford to have Hazard getting injured in any way at this point of the season. He's our main man right now.

Chelsea star Gary Cahill can be England's rock in Rio According to Owen Coyle in the article, Man City offered £17m and a player to Bolton for Cahill the summer before he joined us but nothing came of it. A bit strange that..

I know there might be some concerns or issues about Schurrle playing as a ST for us but to use the game at Old Trafford earlier this season to suggest he can't do so seems a bit silly especially when it's only one game and nothing definitive can be proven from it. Let's not forget that Schurrle has had previous experience playing as a ST back in Germany with Leverkusen and mainly Mainz.

Chelsea is officially FFP compliant, not among 76 clubs UEFA is investigating for possible violations P.S. Have just merged 2-3 of the older threads on the FFP discussion and named this merged thread 'Financial Fair Play'. So, if there is anything related to Chelsea and the FFP rules, just discuss it in here so it's easier for it to do so without having to create multiple threads from time to time.
