You are definitely not the only one. Was such a pathetic and needless thing to do. Mourinho already hit back at Carragher and Souness on Friday, why did we need to carry further on? Might be best if we actually start focusing on getting back to winning ways and stop over-indulging ourselves with referee/pundit conspiracy.
-
Since when we tried to defend against Southampton after scoring first? If we had done so, we wouldn't have found ourselves getting caught on the counter so many times. We still saw plenty of the ball but because the passing was rubbish and the pressing was non-existent, Southampton kept on getting the chances!

OR maybe, Di Santo is finally coming of age. Let's not forget he only had 4 league goals for Bremen last season.
-
Started for United against Spurs and had one of his better games for them. Was also painful seeing the United fans applaud him when he walked off.
-
But on the other hand, we can go with the simple instruction of when the LB goes forward, the RB stays back and vice versa. Mourinho is just being stubborn and stubbornly loyal to certain players.

Fascinating title race...

Another game. Another draw. We'll score first, as usual, and then concede the equaliser, as usual.

It would be a fucking travesty if we SOMEHOW allowed Arsenal and United to get into the title race!

His passing was beyond woeful.

The two wonder goals aside, not sure he really did much otherwise against Juventus and certainly no big club would want him when you see his performance against Southampton. Was almost non-existent like half of his other matches here.
-
I don't want to pass any judgment on Cuadrado yet but his performance against Everton aside, he has been rather underwhelming. Plenty of fancy footwork but hasn't produce enough quality stuff with the ball and not to mention, he looks lightweight and gets pushed off the ball a little too easily at times.

Fair play to the lad. Was arguably the only player who tried to win us the match in that second half. My only criticism of him, if anything, is that he tried to overdo it at times with his dribbling when we could have passed it to keep the attacks going. Then again, like some of have said, it's tough when others played like crap and he's the only one 'alive'.
-
Agree but that doesn't mean that we have to play him at LB in every game. We all know how that doesn't help our attacks on the left at all and Hazard always has to deal with 2-3 players all by himself at once. If Mourinho wants defensive solidity in the away games and/or the bigger games, then go with Azpi. But against some of the lesser sides, who are going defend narrow and compact, play Luis so there's more width in our play to stretch the opposing team's defence. Otherwise, we'll just be playing right in front of them.

It's hard to feel calm these days watching Ivanovic play. THAT throw-in early in the second half right to Matic, who was like in the middle of the pitch, was such a fucking, brainless, idiotic thing to do. We could have so easily gone down to 10 men when Matic subsequently made that foul on Mane but thank god Mike Dean was being lenient that time. Also, THAT rather dramatic fall when Tadic tripped him in the box, was embarrassing to watch. He's such a big and strong fella and yet goes down so easily and theatrically!

Well, considering we tend to argue about how awful Willian and Oscar can be, maybe we have invested in the wrong players... It might be their natural tendency but it's not like they have never attacked on the outside of the fullback before. They have and should look to do that a bit more when we aren't getting joy through the middle. Hazard has done that from time to time on the left wing! Convincing.....

Couldn't agree more with these points. Mourinho's stubborness of being loyal to several players has led to poor management of the squad and decision making. That has certainly affected the team's performances of late.

1. We may have played 120 minutes against PSG in midweek but I'm not using that as an excuse. We had 3 days of rest and the game against Southampton was only our second game in 14 days! Not to mention, we suddenly decided to turn up in the second half. Was that because of fatigue? 2. I take that point but again, not buying the fatigue excuse. Our inability to play the 5/10-yard passes has been happening in every game. 3. Just because we have played that way all season, it doesn't mean we should be playing through the middle all the time. There's such thing called intelligent play. Find different solution to a problem if the initial one isn't working! 4. Frustration? It happens in every game and the players should focus less on moaning about referees (maybe they have been influenced by Mourinho's agenda with referees) and more on making sure we win matches.

I know at this time point of the season, the results are way more important than the performances but my god, that showing against Southampton was excruciating to watch. Almost cried out of despair on several occasions. 1. Why was our pressing as a unit non-existent? Several players were almost just jogging about and then there were players who actually pressed but crucially, the ones behind them didn't follow suit. For instance, when Matic and/or Fabregas went to press, the back 4 didn't even move in unison and instead, we left so much space in between the lines for Southampton to exploit. Clearly, our slow-poke defenders were afraid of Long's and Mane's pace and if that really was the case, then for crying out loud, speak with the others and tell them not to just go blindly press and leave us exposed. Communicate! Not to mention, we kept on losing out on the second balls by not pressing together, thus unable to put any sustained pressure on them. 2. Why can't our players even make a 5/10-yard pass? Every week it's the same problem and in this game, it was absolutely appalling the number of times we gave away the ball cheaply. Ruined so many attacks! 3. Why did we play so narrow, especially against a side who defended narrow, tight and compact? Saw the image showing the average position of the players and the front 4 along with Matic and Fabregas were totally in the middle. There was no width coming from any of them. If you can't go through them, then go around them. Stretch the play! 4. Can the players actually stop moaning if decisions don't go our way? It's happened so many times it's ridiculous. If the referee doesn't give the foul, don't just stand there and throw your arms in the air, get back and do your work!

Ban all the 'twats' on TC!

Hopefully, the players will perform today after they went on holiday in midweek. Otherwise...

Oh no! SELL COSTA!! BRING BACK TORRES!!! You just gotta love it when people turn all petty and find ways to discredit a player of the goals he has scored to suit their argument. So, what if Torres has scored against Barcelona and Real Madrid? Those came in cup competitions and in the league, he hasn't even found the net yet to stop Atletico from falling off the pace. Take those 3 goals out, Torres has done f*ck all for Atletico!

If that really was the case, we wouldn't be sitting here right now and talking about selling Oscar. Like you said, 'was'. Anyone who has watched Oscar in the 3 years here will know that he will give a few good performances in the first half of the season and then go AWOL in the second. He's done nothing really 'WOW' in recent times to suggest a big club would want to get him. Otherwise, we wouldn't be talking about selling him right now. Just like us, think they would want a player who can fit into a tactical system but also produce the goods in the final third. I'm not making him a substandard player by any means. Am only judging him on the performances he has given us since 2012. You can point to the tactical side of things but that can't be used as an excuse for his inability to - play simple 5-10 yards passes, pick out teammates inside the box, control the ball properly and not ruin our attacks etc.
