  1. I have no words, if Frank hadn't been at Everton, I could possibly rationalise this in my head but we can kiss goodbye to the CL. My first thought was honestly "poor Enzo", if we don't get the summer managerial post correct then I can see him pushing for a move, rightfully, criminal to waste that talent.
  2. They want Barry and Nags off the books, compensation could help soften the pay off to Potter, as I understand it via twittersphere that we do not have to pay Potters contract up in full.
  3. Just wow, odd timing, after the international break with zero prep time.
  4. The natural postings are that Spurs want Nagelsmann, what an error if he goes there, feel like I’m repeating myself over and over but my God I couldn’t believe if it happened. I think Poch ends up back there, they sure aren’t buying Brightons contract up.
  5. I’d also just mention it’s pretty distasteful for Tuchel to go public with it, disappoints me. Especially when it just echoes what Simon Jordan said about ‘if everyone knew what happened I’d of sacked him too’ etc it could push someone from in the club to ‘leak’ things and ultimately I’d just prefer to remember Tuchel for what a fantastic coach and member of Chelsea he was, nothing more, nothing less.
  6. We’ve always read he is highly rated so what do we know on the outside, shades of Paul Clement who eventually left in a similar manner, a shame, even if Paul didn’t make it as a first team coach etc
  7. The amount of reporting for Nagelsmann to Spurs is comical, posting that Conte could be out by next week and Nags in 🤣 hope he takes a year out or waits until the summer at least to assess clubs properly.
  8. Returned to the club for assessment on a minor hamstring injury.
  9. If you were Nagelsmann would you take anything other than Chelsea or Liverpool out of that list? Club historical value aside and/or spending power, objectively looking at it, if I were him, I’d take a year out rather than risk further damage with PSG, Serie A in general, Spurs.. well, Spurs. Maybe Atletico, maybe, but that would be a real push and hard sell. Project wise, we are just head and shoulders above every other club that may have a potential managerial position available. Unless Liverpool decide to spend more than the rumoured splash on Jude this summer.
  10. I completely agree on the social media/hate side of things, I think it’s stemmed or got out of control because the contract rejections have come at a time where he’s literally been dreadful. Would anyone care if he’d wanted X per week if he was performing as James was? No. We only know what we read and what’s reported to us by ‘ITK’ which doesn’t feel great to fans when ‘Mr Chelsea’ rejects £180/200k a week because he wants to feel valued, his dad etc but JT had a similar contract stand off years ago, just without the social media sphere reporting XYZ.
  11. Great decision from the club to get him minutes behind closed doors, literally nurse him back and I can’t wait to see Kante and Enzo.
  12. I would be super shocked if Nags ended up at Spurs though, not just because it’s Spurs but I’d actually lose stock for him, not saying he should take the Madrid job, as they are rumoured to be interested, as I think that’d end up like Munich in truth, same as PSG. Thinking through the clubs and leagues, there aren’t that many options where risk/reward benefits, perhaps take a year to visit clubs and training grounds etc instead until the landscape opens up.
  13. I know it goes without saying but I’m looking forward to the details coming out, we all make our assumptions based on what we read and never really know but it seems to have in part stemmed from Neuer and the GK coach debacle, and the club seemed to have backed Neuer. Whereas Nagelsmann was consulting Kimmich on key decisions within the squad rather than Neuer and others, all rumour of course just off twitter but you’re absolutely right about the Bayern management board/directors etc Seems a poison chalice of a club, he writes, with his blue tinted glasses. Up the Chels!
  14. Such an odd move but then isn’t from both perspectives. Tuchel is short-term’ism and Munich may feel or probably feel as though this is their best chance to win the CL squad wise. Traded one prickly character for another except one was on a multi year deal and I feel for Nags considering he’s a Munich fan, his age, ability and probably thought they’d invest everything into him and he’d have authority there.. Where else does that sound like….
  15. Settle down with the facetious comment about a racial undertone, it's a forum and it's my opinion. I grew up frequently playing against lads who were years older than what they were supposed to be in the u15s, so no, it would not surprise me if that's his actual age.
  16. Low chance that's his actual age, drop off and decline aren't exactly surprising. Get shot of him to whomever, couldn't care, I could see Newcastle taking a punt depending on how Isak fairs.
  17. We’d do well to invest in a player with half the care of Mitrovic, stupid act of course but we lack any kind of fight in us.
  18. Mendy returning may be another blessing same as NGolo being in the squad, in terms of CL run.
  19. Kepa apologise to every fan on the way out.
  20. There is no chance Kepa should get beat there irrespective of KKs mistake.
  21. How anyone could justify bringing Tammy back is beyond me.
  22. Confident against Real, absolutely rooting for Bayern though as I’d rather play them than City over two legs.
  23. N’Golo has a chance to be in the squad tomorrow, slow and steady.. Just in time to pair him up with Enzo against Madrid..
  24. That is a rancid draw in terms of what could have been.
