  1. Next thing we know, Drogba will sign for Spurs or whatever and we'll be saying he backstabbed us.
  2. Wait a minute... 15-22 million, only? Sign him up!
  3. There's Dortmund, and then there's us. They'd probably roll us 5-2 as well.
  4. Next year's Champions League final is at Wembley. If we make it there and Drogba is still on our books, we will be the first team in 24 years to go back-to-back.
  5. Please Didier, just take the one year deal
  6. 55,000 is a bit steep, I reckon. We're probably at least 5 years from being able to fill that every game. Even then, I would be surprised if there weren't a few thousand empty seats when we play some League Two club in a cup tie.
  7. I think we'd be better served keeping our current structure and counting on Lukaku and Sturridge to step up. Fernando can be slowly phased out of the team, perhaps being sold next summer.
  8. Rubbish is a bit harsh, but the general essence of your post is true. He's not played well enough to warrant a complete change of structure. What if he's still not what we paid for after all that?
  9. Fair enough, but I still think, at a low price, he's worth a gamble.
  10. That means you're slightly better off than me BMI wise. 3 cm and 2kg, you are probably an entire point better off.
  11. Don't tell me you're 6 feet with an unthinkably low weight as well!
  12. Damn. If we had gone for the win at Arsenal we could have taken a lot of pressure off us for Munich.
  13. Really? Wow, I always thought you were taller than me. I'm a wiry 6 footer or 183 cm and my weight: Have it, Messi. I'm nearly half a foot taller than you. I don't care about your footballing skills, I'm taller, so ha!.
  14. Yeah, I didn't even get a second page of results. Perhaps I spelt "Giueseppe" wrong.
  15. He really isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Joining up with a name like YouMad?; he may as well have changed his avatar to a massive .
  16. No he hasn't, he's wound some of us up. It wasn't a total failure.
  17. I searched for it, I couldn't find anything Anyway, can some Mod merge the two threads?
  18. Well now. Villarreal were relegated, and he is a class, class striker. We could get him for 10, 15 million tops- a second division club aren't in much of a position to bargain. He could be a revelation, especially at that price. It's the kind of transfer that Newcastle have made of late, cheap and intelligent. Now, he did bugger up his knee in April so he may miss the start of the season, but he's still young at 25 and I'm confident he can recover. There is a very old article from January '11 where his agent said that Rossi would only leave for Barca, Madrid, Inter or Chelsea: http://www.goal.com/...-barcelona-real
  19. Fuck every other club. Lord Richard Attenborough, greatest documentary guy in history, supports Chelsea. Your arguments are invalid
  20. Hmm. In your first post here you seem to think we are arrogant bastards for daring to think we are the equal of historically larger clubs such as Liverpool. Truth be told, I think the whole concept of 'big club' is flawed. Liverpool have been varying shades of rubbish for the past 2 decades and are yet still considered a big club; Tottenham haven't won the league in a long time either but are also considered a big club. Finally, you hate us and City for things out of our control. We didn't head over to Russia and give Abramovich blowjobs to get him to buy the club. He bought it because he saw some potential. We never asked for it, what do you propose we do, force him out of the club and pay him back everything he gave us? How are we the cunts for something we didn't even do? And you, or any other supporter of a historically successful club would be absolutely over the moon to have been taken over by a tycoon who would care for your club and spend big if necessary. He could have turned you into multiple European champions, would you have been complaining if that had happened?
  21. Why not? We've got as much chance as they do. I would say our biggest achievement was the FA Cup/Premier League double in 09/10. Only 6 other English clubs have managed that, and only 4 since 1961.
