What about Ramires at right back? He held his own against Barcelona from there and it would give him plenty of space to open up those legs. But because he has simply been so good at the right wing position, I don't think we can rule him out for a first choice starting berth at right wing. I've not had an easy vote yet! BlueLion is a superb administrator, but I voted for him in another forum and he's a greedy git as Steve said; he'll be rubbing it in our faces if he wins 2 of these I went with LDN Blue in the end.

Another incredibly tough vote. Jaimin is amongst the best posters here, while Sh0n3x and Steve put in some fantastic work in the Graphics and Multimedia forums. I just can't separate the three, so I will abstain from voting in this poll. Unless we need 1 vote as a tiebreaker or something.

To be fair to Gomez, he is a brilliant league footballer. It's hugely important to make sure you don't drop points to the little team, and if you have someone like him in your side thats less likely to happen. He's the antithesis of Drogba, who's not arsed with any game that's not a knockout fixture. A duo of him and Drogba would be all conquering.

I don't see the problem. Mario Gomez is the equivalent of the late 19th and early 20th century British Empire Army. Brilliant at shooting African's in skirts armed with spears and taking their countries. Then, 3 million Germans hoved into view in 1914 and then the British did fuck all for the best part of 4 years.

Napoli based their entire CL campaign around the acceptance that they couldn't keep a clean sheet. My point is that he is overrated because when he plays without pressure or against a shit defence he'll run riot, which inflates his numbers. 5 group stage goals and a lucky shin/knee into the net. Hardly convincing. And if you go on NA1926.net, the Napoli forum we are twinned with, and ask them for an opinion of their defence, they will tell you it is overwhelmingly shit. I'm far more concerned about Ivica Olic, Robben, Ribery et al as threats. I'm sure Heyneckes knows that Gomez doesn't show up when things get tough; he'll probably leave him out there as a red herring.
