  1. Not a chance. If AVB goes there they'll be in a relegation battle. The arrogant lad still hasn't learned to change his style.
  2. To make it more interesting I will vote for strike and request that he does not vote for me, unless we are level in votes .
  3. Fucks sake. Damn you, daylight savings Anyway, I called BS and I was right. So there
  4. Isn't it only 10 am in England? Ah well, semantics. He could just be there for some Olympic commitment or something.
  5. No planes from Portugal have landed at Heathrow so far today, one is about 7 minutes from landing. He could not possibly be in Heathrow already. Shot down.
  6. I suppose St. John wants English football to return to the 80s. 4-4-2. Big man up front. Long kick from the goalkeeper.
  7. What the hell is Zola thinking? http://www.offthepost.info/blog/2012/05/dennis-wise-was-better-than-diego-maradona-says-chelsea-legend-gianfranco-zola/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+offthepost%2FTLAa+%28Off+The+Post%29
  8. It's only the Sun, but I'll be livid if they get their hands on him: http://www.setanta.com/ie/Articles/2012/05/17/Barca-confirm-Drogba-interest/gnid-142419/?
  9. Someone just voted for you WHS. You're one behind Alex now...
  10. In light of recent corruption allegations I'm deleting my vote for WHS and giving it to LDN Blue, as he has not been involved in these affairs.
  11. It wasn't the results, it was just that he was absolutely clueless. He had a much worse transfer policy than Rafa- who for every flop managed one good signing. They had 6 home wins all season and managed their lowest point haul in decades. They finished 8th, and won a cup major clubs don't worry with, on penalties, against second division Cardiff. An incredible stat is that in 1968, Liverpool came 3rd in the English First Division and despite only getting 2 points a win, got more than Kenny did this season.
  12. I mean, just look at all the rubbish he bought. 7 million on Jermaine Pennant and Fernando Morientes? 11.5 million on Babel, 19 million on Robbie Keane, 17 each on Johnson and Aquiliani, 7 million on Dossena. That's 86 million pounds Liverpool would be better off now. They could have used that in finding a proper replacement for Torres rather than getting Carroll, overhauling the midfield, upgraded Anfield... and the fans get on the owner's cases for those very problems.
  13. The Scouse are stupid beyond words if they think they'll get Klopp, Mourinho or Guardiola. Rafa is probably the best they can do, and he seems to specialise running clubs into the ground. He started the rot at Liverpool and look what he's done to treble winning Inter Milan. All in all things don't look good for Liverpool FC, especially if UEFA take this FFP stuff seriously. Especially when you consider Rafa has a rubbish record with transfers.
  14. AVB to Liverpool surely can't happen. SURELY? Villas-Boas has to have better sense than that . We have a far better squad than theirs and he still couldn't get that passing game to work. If he wants to manage in England, Arsenal is the only way for him.
  15. Lampard can play good through balls and Mikel can keep the ball well through short passes. I don't think it's as bad as you say it is.
  16. What's wrong with the Award's threads? I posted in these 2-3 days ago but for example, I posted in 'Best Article Writer' about 40 hours ago but the board thinks I posted today at 7:49 am (Australian time)
  17. I'm guessing you gave the rep for the historical reference? It is Russia, by far. Estimates range between 85,000 to 200,000 neo-Nazi's in Russia, around 10% of the whole world total. The US meanwhile is just filled with Jew/Black/Latino/Muslim/Immigrant in general haters. The white supremacy movement in the USA is smaller than in Russia. Mind, it would be absolutely brilliant if the USA elected a half Jew-half Muslim Black who is also half Latino and is homosexual. The reactions of the haters
  18. So he's basically your Daniel Sturridge then in that he's irresponsible. It doesn't take a genius to defend counter attacks. Get some quick defenders on the pitch and play more conservatively than usual, especially in the final third.
  19. Try looking at some of the posts of the nominated posters and you'll see the intellectual substance.
  20. He has a reputation of bottling big games though. Perhaps because he's German he's expected to have nerves of steel, it could be that by German standards he is a below-average big game player, which would still be about par with the rest of the world.
  21. The Sun has always been rubbish; Russia has the largest population of Neo-Nazi's in the world and I don't remember seeing a stink up like this for 2008. Just a modern version of the Pre WWI opinion of Germans as "the villainous Hun and his evil empire building", conveniently ignoring that Britain had the largest empire in history and the German Empire consisted of a sausage factory in Tanganyika.
  22. What in fucks name is that? Anyway if there is a fight Headhunters should demolish them. We have one of the fiercest ultras in Western Europe (that's something to be ashamed of rather than proud), while these 'fans' are nothing but cheap imitations of them. I never got Neo-Nazism in football. Many of football's greats are not white. It would be sickening to think of Chelsea fans hating on Jimmy Floyd, Drogba, Carvalho etc just because they're not northern European.
  23. Well said, Gomez is a poacher and he can't fashion chances for himself. As for Ribery, doubling up on him- both Bosingwa and Kalou- can stifle him. Neither of the two are great at defending per se and both can be beaten without too much of difficulty in a one-on-one but in a 2 on 1 situation, will Ribery have the audacity to beat Kalou and them Bosingwa immediately afterward? Or will he take the safe option and pass? Bayern have to be responsible with the ball, we can break quickly and that is why I think Heynckes wont let Ribery try things like that. Though they aren't the best defensively Kalou and Bosingwa are still decent at winning back the ball and both are quick.
