  1. He's outscored the likes of Ibrahimovic, Benzema, Cavani and Hulk in this years Champions League. And to be fair, I'd rank the Russian league ahead of Belgium. It's not that bad a league, although obviously much lower than the Premiership. He's a cheaper alternative than many of the strikers we've been linked with, and I'm inclined to think he'll perform to a better level than what Torres and Drogba have delivered this season, straight away.
  2. Another thing, what's Redknapp going to do as England manager? Roam around Eastern Europe looking for out-of-contract Englishmen? And I will eat my dog if José or Hiddink ever, ever, manage Spurs.
  3. I am vehemently opposed to anything that takes away even the slightest of my internet freedom. And with the major record companies, MPAA, etc. losing big dollars through unpoliced internet, they will throw money at governments to get laws like this in place. I hate to say it, but we can't resist for too long; eventually they'll win.
  4. Redknapp will get a win-win situation. If England get knocked out even earlier than usual, he can blame it on the disarray that the squad was in when he inherited it, etc. If he lucks out and England make it to the quarters/semi's, he'll have the media fawning on him and a much more enhanced reputation. Seems like the kind of deal that slimy bloke likes to take. You have to admire (grudgingly) his opportunism. One upshot of the whole affair is that Spurs will go back to mid table mediocrity. VdV, Modric, Bale etc. will probably leave and it would be great if we could snap up one of them.
  5. That's a great video! There used to be some old videos around of our squad's antics under Mourinho, which involved a lot of screaming, but they look happier in this.
  6. Europe must be a dire place in the winter. Out of curiosity, what's it like to walk on snow? Is it like walking on sand (i.e. difficult, slow, and bloody annoying) or is snow firm? I'd much prefer weather like this, tbh: Shame its been a very cool summer. Bring back weeks of consecutive 35+ days!
  7. Look at that ecstasy on his face on the second picture. Despicable.
  8. I think the best case scenario for him next season should he leave La Liga would be for us to find a low mid table/relegation battler type team for him to play for.
  9. Surely this shit is not true: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2097966/Arsenal-want-Chelseas-Daniel-Sturridge.html
  10. Cech's not even 30 yet. He potentially has 7 or 8 world class years ahead of him.
  11. That was the single worst act I have ever seen on a football field. The lack of professionalism, or even a code of basic ethics is incredible. I'm not convinced that that's true. By the oldest generation, do you mean those who took part in the civil rights movement? In any case, black youths hear/learn such things from their parents and other adults around them.
  12. It's not commercially viable so we'll never get to have it in our homes, unfortunately.
  13. Wow google translate is awful. "A former teacher, "Chelsea," Ancelotti defends John Terry, who persecutes the English press, accusing it of racism." And some of the comments, like: Just someone to want it badly, that's all. "Passepartout, inappropriately making mountains out of molehills." ©. Someone is trying to cook up a dinosaur ...
  14. We could use any Chelsea player for that, tbf.
  15. Evidence isn't really taken into account when racism is involved. I guess you could say racism is the witchcraft of the 21st century.
  16. All this is going to achieve is another tournament with discord within the England camp, a humiliating early exit, with the FA to blame it on the "dirty forriners" in the Premiership.
  17. I don't think telling someone you did not call them a black cunt falls under the category of racism. I also think he's been vilified in the media, and has been unfairly stripped of captaincy. For these reasons I stand behind him.
  18. We certainly wouldn't have been laughing had Simunic popped up in stoppage time and scored a winner. He's already fairly unpopular here for choosing Croatia even though he was born in Australia.
  19. That was Graham Poll. We had to play Croatia back in the 06 World Cup with Josip Simunic getting 3 bookings.
  20. The double winning squad was still almost entirely the same as Mourinho's, apart from Anelka, Bosingwa, Ivanovic and Zhirkov I think. We could have fielded an all-Mourinho XI: Hilario Ferreira-Alex-Carvalho-Cole Essien-Ballack- Mikel Kalou-Drogba-Malouda
  21. Mourinho does build teams. Look at us, the core of our team is still from the Mourinho era. Inter still heavily rely on Mourinho's players. It would have been the same with Porto had they not been raided by richer clubs after he left.
